Baca -- Cynthia M. Baca of Albuquerque passed away September 28, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Chandelle; her parents, Brei and Hermelinda Baca of Albuquerque; her brother, Brei Jr. and wife, Julie and children of Albuquerque; her sister, Sheila and husband, Joe Rodriguez and children of Mission, TX. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother; her maternal grandfather and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at the Albuquerque Revival Center. She will be interred at Sunset Memorial Park following Services. We love you and you will be missed!

Brack -- Manfred Brack, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died Tuesday, October 2, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dolly Brack of Albuquerque; daughters, Gloria Baratta and husband, Ricardo of Rio Rancho and Liliana Graf and husband, Norberto of Albuquerque; son, Ricardo Brack and wife, Nancy; grandsons, Leonardo Baratta, Alexis Graf and wife, Felicia and Ricardo Graf; granddaughter, Lissette Brack; grandson, Christopher Brack; granddaughter, Nadia Graf, all of Albuquerque; and sister, Elsa Oviedo and husband, Raul of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Manfred was the owner of German Motorwerke. He was an active member in the North Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church serving as an elder. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 7:00 p.m., at North Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4001 12th NW, with Pastor Jorge Rico officiating. Candelaria -- Dolores M. Candelaria, 69, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1950, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Jaramillo and husband, Leroy, and Yolanda Archuleta and husband, Candido A.; grandchildren, Sonia Archuleta, Arturo Archuleta and wife, Leticia, and Joshua Jaramillo; sisters, Eleanor "Lia" Wilt, Benita "Bennie" Montoya and husband, Willie; brother-in-law, Julian Candelaria and sister-in-law, Juanita Candelaria, all of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erminio Candelaria. Mrs. Candelaria was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and their Tuesday morning Prayer Group. Castillo -- Margaret "Maggie" Castillo, 82, a life-long resident of Los Lunas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at an Albuquerque hospital. She was a active member of the San Clemente Catholic Church, St. Vincent De Paul, and was a Sacristan to her devoted church for over 20 years. She retired from the Los Lunas Schools with 18 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred in 1977; her parents, Tomas and Dolores Chavez; and one grandson, Marcos Medina. Margaret is survived by her three loving children, Arthur and his wife, Antoinette, Juliette Castillo, both of Los Lunas and Anita Medina and her husband, Felipe of Las Cruces, NM; seven grandchildren, Chris and Carlos Castillo, Frank, Anthony, and John Medina, Roberta Larson, and Marta Fitzpatrick; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy Lovato of Washington and Frances Gabaldon of Belen. A Viewing will be held on Friday, 6:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Dominic -- Dominic, "Joe Black," 22, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, September 30, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Debra Asbridge of Albuquerque; sister, Candi Dean of Phoenix; brothers, Corey Dean and Chris Torres, both of Albuquerque; grandparents, Duane and Delores Broshious of Albuquerque and Robert Sr. and Lois Asbridge of Ft. Myers, Florida; great-grandfather, Carl R. Williams of Albuquerque; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dominic volunteered at Mandy's Special Farm. He worked at the Adelante Mail Room and he loved fishing, bowling, bingo, slots, finding golf balls and attending Lobo Women's Basketball games. His ambition in life was to one day become a chef. Dorado -- Felix Dorado, 45, of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital, Albuquerque. He will lie in state Thursday, October 4, 2001 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Bethany Funeral Home Chapel in Lovington, NM. A Vigil will be Thursday, October 4, 2001 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 5, 2001, 3:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Lovington, NM with Father Dennis Fountain of St. Helena's Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Tatum Cemetery, Tatum, NM. Bethany Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Felix was born Wednesday, January 11, 1956 to Felix Dorado and Herminia Bermundez Dorado in Artesia, NM. He grew up in Tatum, NM graduating from Tatum High School in 1974 as Valedictorian. He attended NMJC and later Texas Tech where he received his degree in chemical engineering. He went to work for AMOCO where he worked for six years in Hobbs. He then opened Dorado Realty and K & A Appraisal in Albuquerque for over 19 years. His hobbies included anything with a high risk including rafting and hang gliding. He also enjoyed the outdoors and traveling and had a love for the ocean. He was Catholic by faith. Survivors include his mother, Herminia Dorado of Tatum, NM; three brothers, Agustin Dorado of Cape Cod, MA, Jose Dorado of Lovington, NM, Pedro Dorado of Danville, CA; three sisters, Marisela Dorado of Tatum, NM, Judith Dorado of Tatum, NM and Maria Dorado of Clovis, NM. Duran -- Mr. Domingo H. (Larry) Duran, 54, a resident of Albuquerque went to be with our Lord on October 3, 2001 after a battle with cancer. Mr. Duran is the beloved son of Hilario and Dora Duran and loving brother to Gloria Leyba-Wohrlin and husband, Father Anthony Wohrlin, Helen Chavez and Anthony Duran and wife, Barbara; he is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U. S. Army serving in the Viet Nam Era where he was diabled. He was an employee of the V.A. Medical Center. Visitation for Domingo will be Friday evening, October 5, 2001 after 6:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Father Anthony Wohrlin. Fellows -- Paul D. Fellows, Sr., Colonel, USAF (Ret.) of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001. He is survived by his sons, Phillip N. Fellows, Glenn H. Fellows and wife, Patricia Hancock, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Lois A. Fellows of Richmond, VA; grandsons, Paul D. Fellows III and wife, Rhonda of Lampasas, TX, David M. Fellows and wife Surita of Troy, TX, Ryan Fellows and wife, Vicki of Albuquerque, Kevin Fellows and fiancée, Christine Burrell of Brooklyn, NY, and Edward Tsyitee, Jr. and wife, Mel, of Richmond, VA; granddaughter, Paige Jordan and husband, Jim of Fairborn, OH; great-grandsons, Paul D. He graduated McKinley Tech High School in D.C. and the University of Maryland Engineering College in 1932. Mr. Fellows was employee of Potomac Electric Power Co. for seven years. He was employee of Equitable Life Assurance Society of New York since 1961. Mr. Fellows was commissioned in USAQMC in 1938 and in USAF in 1947. He retired from USAF in 1961. Mr. Fellows was a member of Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Fraternities. Harshbarger -- Shawn H. Harshbarger, 36, resident of Espanola, passed away on October 2, 2001. He was a loving, father, son, brother and friend. Shawn is survived by his children, Nicole and Michael Harshbarger of Espanola, NM; parents, Bob and Jane Harshbarger of Albuquerque; brother, Steven W. Harshbarger and wife, Jamie of Pittsburgh, PA; niece, Rachel Harshbarger and nephew, Joshua Harshbarger both of Pittsburgh, PA; children's mother, Trisha Sanchez of Espanola; uncle, William G. Harshbarger and wife, Carol of Duncansville, PA; loving, special friend, Yvette Trujillo and her daughter, Shayla; and special friend, Jim Babich of Los Alamos, NM. Shawn was a loving, caring father. He served six years with the United States Navy on the USS Florida Trident Submarine. Shawn was employed with Los Alamos National Labs. He loved life and lived each day to the fullest. Henderson -- Dr. Thomas Richard Henderson II, 69, died on Wednesday, October 3, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dr. Rogene Henderson; son, Thomas (Tim) Henderson and wife, Maryanne of Hollywood, FL; daughters, Edith of Albuquerque and Dr. Lucy Clemen (Laura) and husband, Mark of Bremerton, WA; grandchildren, Genevieve Henderson and Catherine, Nathaniel, Vivienne and Joseph Clemen. He was preceded in death by son, Robert Rosser Henderson; brother, John Rosser Henderson, Jr.; and his parents, John Rosser Henderson and Laura Mae Olson Henderson. Thomas was a graduate of Pan American University and served his country in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. He received his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Texas in Austin, where he met and married his wife, Rogene Faulkner. Dr. Henderson worked as a research chemist for many years teaching at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, the University of Albuquerque, UNM Valencia and he conducted research for Lovelace Inhalation Toxicology Research Institute, now Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute. He was also an entrepreneur, operating the Albuquerque Assay Lab and other ventures. T.R. was active in Kiwanis, was a former chair of the Appropriate Rural Technology Association (ARTA), served on the board of The Storehouse, was a compadre of Ghost Ranch, and was a longtime member and elder at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. He was a generous and optimistic man, and he loved to have everyone over to catch trout in his backyard pond. He will be sorely missed. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa NE, with Rev. Frank Yates officiating. Howell -- Leonard G. Howell, 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 3, 2001. He was born in Tombstone, Az on July 18, 1913. His parents moved to the Carlsbad/Artesia area in 1914 where they had purchased a ranch. After Leonard graduated from high school in Artesia, he moved to the Sacramento Mountains where he met and married Katie Lee Sowell. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary September 20, 2001. Leonard has been a Deacon in the Estancia First Baptist Church for many years. He was Civic minded and was on the Estancia School Board for 12 years and served on boards and committees for various organizations in the community. He farmed in Artesia and Estancia for over 30 years, then retired in Mexico near the Sea of Cortez, as he was an avid fisherman. During this time, they lived part time in Estancia. He was preceded in death by his son, Louis Neil in 1970. Leonard is survived by his wife, Katie Lee, of Albuquerque; daughter, Lona Rae Marsh of Albuquerque, Carol Tindell and her husband, Gene of Eagle Nest; daughter-in-law, Dorothia Howell of Estancia; ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; his sister, Nora Beth Ayeock and husband, Bill of Green Valley, AZ, his sister-in-law, Mary Howell of Patagonia, AZ. Leonard was loved, respected and admired by those who knew him and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Estancia , Saturday, October 6, 2001, 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Estancia Cemetery family plot with Rev. Marc Dana Officiating. Jackson -- David Jerome Jackson, 62, of La Plata, NM, passed away October 1, 2001. David was blessed to have two loving families and many friends. David was the beloved husband of Sally Suter; father to two sons, Andy and Michael; and brother to Larry, Alice and Judy. David was so joyful that he was able to be with his sons just a few weeks ago. David was loved and embraced by Sally's extended family, especially her children, Tammy and Tatum. David and Sally were only two weeks from their second wedding anniversary. Though they found each other late in life, they had been finding each other for all time. David loved light and color, loved to express beauty through his art, loved to use his exquisite mind and most of all, loved God. David, we love you and we know you are now held in God's heart. There will be a celebration Service for David's life in Santa Fe, NM on Sunday, October 7, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Bede's Episcopal Church, at the corner of St. Francis Drive and San Mateo. Please join us for a potluck in the church community room immediately afterwards. This will be a time to share remembrances of David. Lanford -- Dellie P. Lanford, age 87, a resident of Albuquerque for 41 years died October 3, 2001. Dellie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Ben A. Lanford Sr.; one son, Ben A. Larson -- George B. Larson, October 4, 2001 died at home, in Hanover, New Hampshire, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Mary Frances Larson (Green). He is survived by his children, Barbara (Stuart Coulter), Gayle Larson (Richard Galgano), and Jay Eppert (Julia). Beloved grandfather of Carly and Julia Coulter, Ben and Charlotte Galgano, and Laura and James Eppert. Beloved brother of Don Larson and Charlotte Springmyer. Born in 1920 in Jeannette, PA, George was a longtime Cincinnati resident and graduate of University of Cincinnati. He retired from contract management at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque in 1982. A Celebration of his life will be held in Cincinnati at a date to be determined. Lucero -- Ralph Lucero, 39, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 3, 2001. Ralph is survived by his son, Damien LaRiva Sr.; two sisters, Diane Martinez and Angela Martinez and husband, Frank Jr.; one grandson, Damien LaRiva Jr.; one nephew, Mario Martinez; three nieces, Charissa, Leah and Samantha; special friends, Desi and Edwina Tabares; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ralph was a member of the Catholic Church and the St. Jude Flying Mission. A Rosary will be recited by Kathy Viscaino Friday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. by Father Gene Gries. Mead -- Richard G. Mead, 58, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, September 27, 2001. He is survived by his son, Wesley Verne Mead and wife, Katheranne Esquibel-Mead of Albuquerque; daughter, Deborah RiAnn Mead of Albuquerque; his companion, Red; nephews, Jon Edwards and wife, Helen and their daughter, Lara, Antonio Martinez and wife, Lori; niece, Christine Ann Edwards, all of Phoenix, AZ; and the love of his life, Nancy H. Mead. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wesley and Marian Margaret; and sister, Charlene Ann McCans. Mr. Mead received his Bachelor of Arts degree from New Mexico State University and was in accounting. He was also a builder, contractor and a truck driver. Smith -- Frederick "Fred" G. Smith, 70, born in Wesley PA, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1954 passed away unexpectedly at home Monday, October 1, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Anita Smith of Albuquerque; son, Brian G. Smith of Antioch, CA; daughter, Elisa Baca and husband, Vince of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Bryce, Arianna and Shelby Baca, all of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Ray Evans of Palm springs, CA; dear family friend, Marion "Nanny" Leech of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith attended Wesley Public Schools and graduated from Grove City High School in 1949. He attended Slippery Rock University and Syracuse University Extension and then graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1957 with a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in 1967. He was employed by Albuquerque Public Schools as a social studies teacher at Jefferson Middle School and retired in 1985 after teaching for 27 years. Before retirement, he was social studies department chairman. He was a member of the Albuquerque Classroom Teachers Association, National Education Association, Phi Kappa Alpha, and the Order of the Red Red Rose. He served on many district social studies committees and school evaluation teams. He was a veteran of the Korean War and loved his country. He joined the Air Force in 1950 and served with the 3rd Bay Wing, 90th Bomb Squad and 3rd Member Squadron at Kunsa, Korea. He performed fabric maintenance on B-26 invader light bombers. He was discharged in 1954 from Kirtland Air Force Base. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church since 1958. He served on the education workshop committee, finance committee and the administration board. He loved to sing with vocal groups. He was a member of the New Mexi-Chords since 1972. For many years, he coordinated the travel plans for the chorus when going to competitions throughout the United States. In addition to his love of singing, he loved to travel. He enjoyed playing golf, following sports team (especially the Pittsburgh Pirates) and attending UNM basketball and football games. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and especially loved playing with his grandchildren who lovingly called him "Papa." Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 5, 2001, at 4:00 p.m., at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE, with Rev. Jim Hawk officiating. A reception and celebration of Fred's life will be held immediately following the Service at the family home. Summersett -- Mary E. (Betty) Summersett, 91 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2001. She was a resident of Plantation, Florida for the last two-and-a-half years. Before that, she resided in Rio Rancho, since 1990. Born on November 11, 1910 to Lincoln G. and Myrtle Belle Hoffman Heller near Farmer City, IL. Betty attended business college in Ft. Wayne, IN, where she met her husband, Carl Summersett. They were married in Ft. Wayne on March 31, 1934. She is survived by her husband, Carl; son, Jerry L. of Midlothian, TX; daughter, Karen McCrary of Lauderhill, FL; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents. a sister, and a brother. Betty was active in the United Methodist Church and the Gideon International Auxillary. She also belonged to the Ohio Eastern Star at Sandusky, Ohio. Burial will be in Van Wert, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gideon International, P.O. Vigil -- Lorenzo H. Vigil, 63, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 2, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, MaryAnn Vigil of Albuquerque; sons, Vincent L. Vigil and wife, Ana of Rio Rancho, Patrick D. Vigil and wife, Anna of Albuquerque and Dr. Anthony Ray Vigil and wife, Kristin of Silver City, NM; seven grandchildren, Tony, Eric, Ashley, Leonard, Maricka, Maria and Jacob; brother, Flavio ¯John¯ Vigil, Jr. and wife, Josie; sisters, Margaret Carrillo and Nancy Vigil, all of Albuquerque. Lorenzo was a member of St. Joseph's on the Rio Grande Catholic Church. He served his country during Vietnam, and he retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. Webster -- Add Webster, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, October 2, 2001. He is survived by his son, Patrick Webster and wife, Joyce of Ohio and Florida; one brother, George D. Webster of Griswold, IA; sister-in-law, Marjorie Boyle of Sunnyvale, CA; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends, including cousin, Helen Schei and Mr. Jasper Heath. He was preceded in death by his wife, Terese; parents, Aaron and Effie; brothers, Alton and Lyle; and sister, Adeline. Mr. Webster was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School in Iowa, Class of 1933 and attended the University of Northern Iowa, University of Oregon and the University of New Mexico before going to Holloman AFB. He was a Minor Leaguer in 1938-39 with the St. Louis Cardinal organization. Mr. Webster was a Disabled Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was also a member of American Legion Post 13. He was an administrator with the Small Business Administration in Albuquerque before retiring in 1972. Mr. Webster was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 8, 2001, at 10:30 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
