Mary E. (Betty) Summersett, 91 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2001. She was a resident of Plantation, Florida for the last two-and-a-half years. Before that, she resided in Rio Rancho, since 1990. Born on November 11, 1910 to Lincoln G. and Myrtle Belle Hoffman Heller near Farmer City, IL. Betty attended business college in Ft. Wayne, IN, where she met her husband, Carl Summersett. They were married in Ft. Wayne on March 31, 1934. She is survived by her husband, Carl; son, Jerry L. of Midlothian, TX; daughter, Karen McCrary of Lauderhill, FL; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents. a sister, and a brother. Betty was active in the United Methodist Church and the Gideon International Auxillary. She also belonged to the Ohio Eastern Star at Sandusky, Ohio. Burial will be in Van Wert, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gideon International, P.O. Box 50126, Albuquerque, NM 87181. Riverside/Gordon Memorial Chapel, Tamarac, FL. is in charge of arrangements.
