Chavez -- Mr. Antonio M. Chavez, 90, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on August 18, 1999. Mr. Chavez is survived by his three sons, Tony Baca, David Chavez and Ramona, Dominic Chavez and Maria; three daughters, Sandra Chavez and Felix, Grace Chavez and John and Rosemary War and husband, Sal; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic church, a musician, member of the D.A.V., V.F.W. and American Legion Post 122. A rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. by Gloria Miera at St. Edwins Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona S.W. with visitation after 6:30 p.m. at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwins Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Anthony Bolman, Celebrant. Clark -- Evelyn Clark, 80, a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 18, 1999. Ms. Clark was born on January 3, 1919 in Orange, TX; she was a resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Virgie Powell. She is survived by her loving and caring son, Rick Clark and wife, Loretta; four precious grandchildren, Ricky, Kathleen, Lori and Jeremy Clark; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Lee Clark and Thaddeaus Kay. Also surviving are one brother, Bobby Powell of Dallas, TX; eight sisters, Emma Ross of Carlsbad, NM, Fran Morgan and husband, Clyde of San Diego, CA, Virginia Hudson of Artesia, NM, Betty Johnson of San Diego, CA, Martha Gipson and husband, Lee of Dallas, TX, Hattie Ward of Artesia, NM, Florence Gamble of New York and Bertha Mullins also of Artesia, NM; and a host of other relatives. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Stover, where Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Lawrence Green officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, August 23, 1999 at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Fronkier -- Major (Ret USAF) Henry"Hank" B. Fronkier, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Imagene Alice (McKown) Fronkier; son, Michael Fronkier and wife, Katheryn of Edmond, OK; daughter, Pamela Jean Peters and husband, Jay of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Kathleen Lynn Fronkier and Douglas James Fronkier, both of Edmond, OK. He was preceded in death by his five brothers, Louis, David, Francis, Arvis and Arthur. Major Fronkier was born on July 15, 1916 in Ponca City, OK. He was a member of the Osage Indian Tribe and one of the few Native Americans who served as an Air Force pilot. Major Fronkier was a command pilot whose career spanned the"golden" years of the Air Force. His remarkable flying career started in an open cockpit J-3"Cub" in 1939. He was an instructor pilot during the early days of WWII and flew C-46"Commando" cargo aircraft in the China-Burma-India theater. After WWII, Major Fronkier served a tour in Korea, spent three years in Japan and participated in the evacuation of American embassy personnel from Hanoi and Hiphong in French Indo-China. He was inducted into the"Mach Busters" by flying the F-100F Super Saber faster than the speed of sound in 1961. Major Fronkier returned to South Viet Nam in 1963, flying C-123"Expeditor" airlift missions for U.S. advisors and the Army of the Republic of Viet Nam. After his return from South East Asia, he retired from the Air Force in December 1963, after 20 years of service. Major Fronkier's awards included the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, the United Nations Medal and the National Chinese Freedom Medal. In 1966, he opened the Isleta Laundry and Dry Cleaners, which served the south valley area of Albuquerque for over 16 years. Major Fronkier was a loving husband and devoted father. Fulton -- Alan Thomas, 55, died on Sunday, August 15, 1999 in Albuquerque. He was born on February 19, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Alan is survived by his loving wife, Mary and three devoted children, Brad, Shannon and Robin. Also a beloved and devoted friend and co-worker Cece Lopez. All reside in Albuquerque. He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Lorenzo Tafoya, Edward Martinac, David Woodward and Theresa Madrid; nieces and nephews, Christine and Ben Lucero and Charlene Madrid; three great-nephews, Ben, Kevin and and Kyle Lucero, all residing in Denver. Alan taught special education classes at Armijo and La Mesa Elementary Schools in Albuquerque. He will be greatly missed and loved forever by his family and friends. Klynott -- Shirley A. Klynott, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 23 years, passed away at her home on August 17, 1999 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James of the family home; daughter, Rachel Klynott of Albuquerque; and a sister, Doris Devers of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley G. and Margaret (Guest) Scheckler and a sister, Emily Whitehead. Born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Shirley was educated in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania schools. Before moving to Albuquerque in 1976, the family lived in the Dover, New Jersey area for many years. Sieger -- William J."Bill" Sieger, 67, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, August 18, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Janice Nance; daughter, Carla Arnold and husband, Jerry; sons, David Sieger and Kenny Nance; grandson, Joshua Arnold; mother, Doris Jensik, all of Albuquerque; and many friends. Mr. Sieger served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed with Sandia National Laboratories for 37 years. His hobbies included cars, fishing and jazz. Sweeting -- Annie Louise Sweeting, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since June 1993, passed away August 19, 1999 at 2:40 a.m. Annie was born June 16, 1916 to William and Annie Saunders, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her three brothers, Roy, Raymond and Henry; a sister, Mary (Mamie) Van Dyke and her husband, Roosevelt Sweeting. Annie leaves behind to miss and mourn her passing, two daughters, Jean Rakestraw and husband, John of Albuquerque, and Oreather Sweeting and companion, Charles Sawyer of Mount Vernon, NY; two grandsons, Ryan Higgins of San Diego, CA and Kurt Woods of New York City, NY; five great-grandchildren; one niece, Valderline Hearn of Miami, FL; one adopted daughter, Helen Sturkey of San Diego, CA and a host of other relatives and friends. Thomas -- Mrs. Mary-Agnes Thomas, 67, a resident of Bernalillo, New Mexico passed away on August 18, 1999. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sandoval and husband Clyde and Carleen Duran and husband, Ed; two sons, Marshall Thomas and wife, Arlene and Ray Thomas Jr. and wife, Fern; five sisters, Laura Graham, Josephine Cochran, Jeanne Lente, Kitt Lente and Eileen Lente-Kasero and husband, Merle; two brothers, Lawrence Lente and wife, Violet and Wilmer Lente; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
