Obituary for Clark

Evelyn Clark, 80, a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 18, 1999. Ms. Clark was born on January 3, 1919 in Orange, TX; she was a resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Virgie Powell. She is survived by her loving and caring son, Rick Clark and wife, Loretta; four precious grandchildren, Ricky, Kathleen, Lori and Jeremy Clark; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Lee Clark and Thaddeaus Kay. Also surviving are one brother, Bobby Powell of Dallas, TX; eight sisters, Emma Ross of Carlsbad, NM, Fran Morgan and husband, Clyde of San Diego, CA, Virginia Hudson of Artesia, NM, Betty Johnson of San Diego, CA, Martha Gipson and husband, Lee of Dallas, TX, Hattie Ward of Artesia, NM, Florence Gamble of New York and Bertha Mullins also of Artesia, NM; and a host of other relatives. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Stover, where Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Lawrence Green officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, August 23, 1999 at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Lee Gipson, Bobby Powell, Tommy Jackson, Henry Austin, Anthony Herrera and Henry Pacheco. Honorary bearers will be Jackie Ross and Michael Ross. Funeral services are in the care and direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW.
