Baca -- Albert Steven Baca (Captain Albert), 38, passed away May 3, 1999. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Suarez; grandfather, Lucio Suarez; grandmother, Lupe Suarez Valles; and wife, Susie Lopez. Albert is survived by his two sons, Arthur Baca and Albert Baca; daughter, Lisa Baca; father, Alex Baca; his grandfather, Manuel Baca; grandmother, Portana Gallegos; his brothers, Alex Baca, Julian Baca; his sister, Agnes Gonzales and husband, Mario; many nieces and nephews; and girlfriend, Linda Bell. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held this evening, 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., at the chapel of Alameda. A Rosary will be recited at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church this evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 1:30 p.m. also at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Blea -- Katie Agnes Blea, age 70, passed away at her home after an illness. She is preceded in death by her husband George Blea and daughter Karen Sue Jiwani. She is survived by son, Gary A. Blea and wife, Ruth; son-in-law, Iqabal Jiwani and wife, Sainaz; grandchildren, Gregory A. Blea, Yasmin Jiwani, Karim Jiwani; family and friends, Richard and Frances Baldonado family, Bob and Lori Rogers, Delbert Shultz. Mrs. Blea was the treasurer of the Women's Guild at Our Lady of Fatima Church, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed many hobbies including crocheting and knitting. The rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Thursday and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the Women's Guild at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Branum -- Isabelle Branum, 77, passed away the evening of May 2, 1999 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on April 5, 1922 in Vernon, Texas as Ruth Isabelle Price, she was known affectionately as"Sissy" to much of her family. She is survived by two children, Ed Gillenwater and wife, Sue of Cedar Hill, TX and Lisa Barham and husband, James of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michael Gillenwater of Silver Spring, MD, Kari Gillenwater of New Orleans, LA, Sarah and Brandon Spears, both of Albuquerque; stepchildren, Biddye Branum of Corpus Christi, TX and Lindsey Howard of San Antonio, TX. Mrs. Branum was preceded in death by her first husband Buck Gillenwater in 1950, her second husband, Wayne Branum in 1983 and by three brothers, Morgan Price, Ray Price and Paul Price. After completing her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Texas Technological College, she became a full time member of the Texas Tech faculty in 1954. In 1957 she joined the Business Education faculty of Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM, retiring as an Associate Professor Emeritus in 1985. After living in Portales for more than 30 years, she moved to Garland, TX in 1992 and returned to New Mexico in March of 1999, making her home in Albuquerque. Funeral services will be held in Albuquerque at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 1999 at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Rick Donaho, officiating. Services in Portales, NM will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, 1999 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Philip H. Fike, officiating. Interment will follow at Portales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Isabelle Branum may be made to the Friends of Eastern Foundation at Eastern New Mexico University, Station 8, Portales, NM 88130. Bridges -- Capt. Claude J. Bridges, U.S.A.F. (Ret.), 80, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, May 1, 1999. He was born on April 10, 1919 at Greenville, TX to Charles and Rose Bridges. He is survived by his wife, Clara Bridges of Albuquerque; children, Clint Bridges and wife, Sheila, Carson Bridges, Carla Garcia, Claudette Duncan, and Chardelle Edmonds and husband, Butch; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Capt. Bridges retired from the U.S. Air Force on April 30, 1962 and served in World War II as a glider and fighter pilot. C de Baca -- C De Maria Tomasita C de Baca, age 87, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died May 4, 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Holly Hayden and husband, Robert of Albuquerque, Jeanne Hunter of Edgewood, Irene Skipworth of Roswell; son, Eric C de Baca and wife, Rosina of Plano, TX; sister, Lala Duran of Albuquerque; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ermino C de Baca. She was a member of Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 1999 in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Cercone -- Charles Edward Cercone born in Valdez, CO May 17, 1911 to Umberto Cercone and Victoria Mantelli died peacefully at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Albuquerque on May 3, 1999. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jenny Tomsic; and step-son, Dirk Boggs. Charles was a prominent business owner in Albuquerque for over 30 years. Survived by his daughter, Vickie Gorelick and husband, Robert; grandson, David; granddaughter, Allison; step-children, Daniel Boggs and wife, Debbie Padilla and husband, Mike Boggs and wife, Jeff Shepherd and wife; step-grandchildren, Joey Padilla and wife, Anthony Padilla, Dano Boggs, Michael Boggs, Amy Boggs, Jana Boggs; step great-grandson, Joey Tyler; niece, U-berta Gatti; and nephews, Anton and John Tomsic. Cox -- Alfred E. Cox, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1975, entered life eternal on Thursday, April 29, 1999. He was born on February 13, 1913 in Bridgewater, MA to Alfred E. and Blanche Alden Cox. He earned degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Bridgewater State College, and New York University. He retired in 1975 after teaching science in Rutherford, New Jersey for over 30 years. During WWII, he served in the US Army Signal Corps in the European and Pacific Theater of Operation. He married Louise Hewitt in June 1950. He and Louise moved to Rio Rancho in October 1975. Al had an active interest in astronomy, meteorology, and mineralogy. His chief hobbies were collecting minerals and lapidary work. He and Louise enjoyed traveling and visiting the national parks in the West. He had a large collection of slides that he used in his science classes and to share with friends. He and Louise were founding members of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, and they were docents there for many years. Al was a LIFE member of the V.F.W. Post 5890 and a member of the American Legion. He was a very active member of St. Paul's United Church and sang in the choir, as well as serving as moderator of the council five of the first seven years after he and Louise joined the church in 1975. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, William, Richard and Stuart. He is survived by his wife, Louise; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hewitt of Bellows Falls, VT and Esther Cox of Stratford, CT; also 12 nieces and nephews, Robert J. Hewitt of Saxton's River, VT, Dr. James E. Cox of Gallup, William H. Cox of Saugus, MA, Janet Dunton of Saugus, MA, Dr. Barbara A. Cox of Corbett, OR, Carol Ann Pastore of North Haven, CT, Judith Frietze of Albuquerque, Nancy Mills of Silver Springs, MD, Judith Karl of Silver Springs, MD, Rebecca Fox of Albuquerque, Libby Fish of Albuquerque and Ann Louise Mauritz of Vienna, VA; as well as 21 grandnephews and grandnieces and six great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces; and all of those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be at St. Paul's United Church, 2701 The American Rd., Rio Rancho, on Wednesday, May 5, 1999 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Richard Freeman officiating. The family has requested memorials be made to St. Paul's United Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements for cremation were made by Sunrise Society of New Mexico, 891-8200.

Martin -- Marie J. Martin, 95, a resident of Albuquerque for 12 years, died Sunday, May 2, 1999. She is survived by her son, Marshall G. Martin and wife, Mary Parkin; grandsons, Drew S. Martin, all of Albuquerque and Ben J. Martin of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Jessica Martin Kiner and great-granddaughter, Tyler Marie Kiner, both of Seattle, WA. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, W. Leslie Martin. She was a resident of Artesia from 1925 to 1987. Mr. and Mrs. Martin were farmers outside Artesia for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Artesia. Mrs. Martin was also a longtime member of P.E.O. Martinez -- Mr. Armenio T."Maco" Martinez, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 3, 1999. Mr. Martinez was the beloved husband of 41 years to Mrs. Theresa Martinez. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mcginnis -- Wyett H. McGinnis, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Saturday, May 1, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Lee of the family home; sons, David W. McGinnis and Thomas J. McGinnis III and wife, Susan, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rachelle, Ryan and Tommy IV McGinnis. Mr. McGinnis was a school teacher for 32 years and taught 25 years in Albuquerque. He was a sociology teacher, head football and wrestling coach at Del Norte High School. He was also owner of McGinnis School of Driving school for 35 years. Mr. McGinnis was a member of Montgomery Place Church of God and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Miller -- Jean (Norma) Miller, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, May 1, 1999. She is survived by her husband, James D. Miller of the family home; son, James D. O'dell -- Vera Pauline O'dell was born October 18, 1922 in Quinlan, Oklahoma. She passed away May 2, 1999 at her grandson, Patrick Pearson's home in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by one brother, Willie; and her parents. She is survived by one son, Delbert Pearson and wife, Ronda of Albuquerque; four grandsons, Dan Pearson and wife, Brenda, Christopher Pearson, Paul Pearson, Patrick Pearson and wife, Donna; five great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; and one brother, Leroy Maggard and wife, Melba from Hoisington, KS. She had moved to New Mexico to live with her son in October of 1998. Her entire family was with her in her last hours and she died peacefully in her sleep. The family would like to especially thank Sandia Hospice for their help and support during the final weeks. A special thanks to Kay Layman who helped us so much the last hours. Services will be held at Millers Funeral Home in Liberal, KS, Thursday, 11:00 a.m., on May 6, 1999. She will be laid to rest next to her mother in the Rest Lawn Cemetery.

Ohlson -- Charles Ohlson passed away May 3, 1999. He was a longtime resident of Albuquerque and served in the Vietnam War. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Karl Ohlson in 1986. He is survived by his sister, Diana Ohlson of Farmington; sons, Eddie Gallegos and wife, Delia, and Brian Gallegos and wife, Marteena, all of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Joshua, Kevin and Michael; nieces, Debbie Sullivan and Doreen Ohlson; nephew, Graham Davis; and other family and friends who will miss him. Ryan -- Alice Gass Ryan died Monday, May 3, 1999, after a lengthy illness. Born in 1927, she was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Ryan; sister, Nancy Lewis and husband, Claude; niece, Rebecca Almeter and husband, Richard; grandniece, Holly Freshman, all of Albuquerque; and niece, Margaret Lewis of Novato, CA. She was active in and served as an officer of Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae; Chapter E. of P.E.O.; and Women of the Cathedral Group of St. Johns Episcopal Church; and was active in a needlepoint group. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2:00 p.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John, 4th St. at Silver SW, with The Very Rev. David F.K. Puckett, Canon Rhonda S. McIntire, The Rev.
