Alice Gass Ryan died Monday, May 3, 1999, after a lengthy illness. Born in 1927, she was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Ryan; sister, Nancy Lewis and husband, Claude; niece, Rebecca Almeter and husband, Richard; grandniece, Holly Freshman, all of Albuquerque; and niece, Margaret Lewis of Novato, CA. She was active in and served as an officer of Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae; Chapter E. of P.E.O.; and Women of the Cathedral Group of St. Johns Episcopal Church; and was active in a needlepoint group. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2:00 p.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John, 4th St. at Silver SW, with The Very Rev. David F.K. Puckett, Canon Rhonda S. McIntire, The Rev. Canon Albert W. Tarbell and The Rev. Edmund P. Ross officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a charity of your choice. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
