Albillar -- Sister Isabel (Marie Damian) passed away in Ohio. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 30, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in the San Felipe Catholic Church in Old Town. Sister, a native of Albuquerque, was a Sister of Charity for 65 years. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Eloisa Barela, Joseph and Dorothy Albillar; and numerous others. Burial has taken place in Ohio.

Armstrong -- Wm. Russell Armstrong passed away January 27, 1999 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born March 31, 1916 in Blair, Nebraska. Mr. Armstrong spent much of his childhood in Casper, Wyoming. During WWII, he served in Europe as a Sperry Autopilot and Norton Bomb Sight Specialist in the Second Air Division of the U.S. Army's Eighth Air Force. he married Carol J. Shoemaker, a nurse, of Beemer, Nebraska in 1946, and they settled in Casper and had three sons, where Mr. Armstrong worked as a Master Watchmaker and Jeweler. As a young family they loved hunting, fishing and the grand Wyoming scenery. In 1957, Mr. Armstrong joined Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque as a Staff Assistant. He retired in 1978 and enjoyed traveling the Western U.S. and gardening until his death. He is survived by his wife, Carol and sons, Neal R. Armstrong, Professor of Chemistry, Tucson, Arizona (wife, Julia and daughters, Erin and Alix); Dale Armstrong, Consulting Geologist, Tucson (wife, Allyson); Glen A. Armstrong, Plastics Tooling Engineer, Spokane, Washington (wife, Sherrian and children, Nathan and Lyndsey). A family service will be held in Blair, Nebraska, at a future date. Costello -- Geraldine E. Costello, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Sunday, January 24, 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Costello of Albuquerque, Nancy Morgan and husband, William of Dayton, OH, Patricia Nie and husband, Douglas of Albuquerque, and Vivian Carruthers and husband, Terry of Bothell, WA; five grandchildren; sisters, Gene Derbas of Plainfield, IL, and Sophie Canik and Adelaide Bruck, both of Blue Island, IL; and brother, Len Bruck of Zephyr Hills, FL. Mrs. Costello was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Costello in 1994; brothers, Matt, Henry, and Edward Bruck. Rosary will be recited Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW. Cox -- Robert G. Cox, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away January 27, 1999. He was a Veteran of World War II. Robert retired from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was a longtime member and Deacon of Highland Baptist Church. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Blue Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Cox of the family home; two sons, Glynn L. Cox and wife, Patricia of Hurst, TX and Robert D. Cox and wife, Greta of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Sheryl King, David Cox, Richard Cox and Deann Ragland. Funeral services will be Friday, January 29, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at Highland Baptist Church, 417 Palomas SE, with Rev. Bart Montgomery and Winfred Walker co-officiating. Hueter -- John M. (Jack) Hueter, born June 1, 1924 in San Francisco, CA, died on January 25, 1999 with his loving family around him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the love of his life, Patricia Hannett Hueter; their three devoted daughters, Ann B. Hueter, Laura Hueter Bass and Jane Hueter-Moody; and his son-in-law, Stephen D. Bass. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Meredith and Melissa Myers, Justine Bass, and Sarah and Andrew Moody; brothers, Ernest B. Hueter of Washington, DC and Robert C. Hueter of Napa Valley, CA; sisters-in-law, Mary Hannett Voller and Betty Hannett; nephews, nieces, and many dear friends, all of whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest C. Hueter; and his parents-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. James W. Hannett; his brother-in-law, A.T. Hannett; his sister-in-law, Jane Hannett Rice; and his son-in-law, Stephen L. Moody. Jack graduated from New Mexico Military Institute and the University of New Mexico with a degree in Civil Engineering. He served in the submarine service of the Navy during World War II. He was an adjunct professor at UNM in the College of Engineering and was a longtime employee of Sandia National Laboratories. He was also a dedicated community leader, having served as Chairman of the Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Board, President of the Goodwill Industries of New Mexico, President of the Kiwanis Club of Albuquerque and Lt. Governor of Southwest District of Kiwanis, Board member of the UNM Alumni Association, a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and an active volunteer for UNM, United Way and the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra. But more importantly, he was a profoundly beloved man because of the richness of his spirit, the tenderness of his heart, and the love he gave to so many. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at the Cathedral Church of St. John, 4th St. at Silver SW, with the Rev. Edmund Ross officiating and the Rev. Canon Albert W. Tarbell assisting. Kellovich -- Rudolph"Rudy" Kellovich died January 27, 1999 in Albuquerque. He was born in Prescott, AZ and moved to this area in 1940. He was a veteran of the US Army and member of American Legion Post 13. He was Catholic. Mr. Kellovich was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Kellovich; and brother, Ernest Moreno. He is survived by his former wife, Andrea Kellovich of Albuquerque; a son, Michael Kellovich of Albuquerque; two daughters, Kathleen Kellovich-Sanchez and husband, Michael of Denver, CO and Karen Kellovich-Borrego and husband, Nathan of Espanola, NM; two sisters, Helen White and husband, John and Mary Kellovich, all of Albuquerque; brother, Jim Ruiz of Albuquerque; and four grandchildren, Joshua Romero, Jeremy Romero, Carlos Sanchez and Michael C. Lucero -- Max Lucero, 73, a resident of Tome, passed away on January 28, 1999. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church where he taught confirmation classes, and a member of the Tierra Del Sol Country Club. Max was a WWII veteran in the Navy, stationed in the South Pacific as a radio operator on the air craft carrier Essex. He was a past president of the AMI group in 1989 and 1990. Max was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. He is survived by his wife, Emelene Ortega Lucero; children, Jacque Lucero Paul, Stephen Paul, Denise Lucero Comte, John Comte, Maxim Lucero, Laurie Lucero, David Lucero, Paula Lucero Lindgren, Tim Lindgren, Anne Lucero Custy, and Dennis Custy; grandchildren, Teresa, Stephanie and Benjamin Paul, Bridgette and Timothy Lindgren, Elena Lucero, Ashlee Custy; one great-grandchild, Sykona Paul. Max is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins from his mother and father's side from Colorado. Nguyen -- Kim Chi Nguyen, 66, born December 16, 1932 in Longan Vietnam. Our beloved mother, sister and friend passed away Wednesday, January 27, 1999 at her home with her family beside her, after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her three adopted sons, Tuan Nguyen (Michelle) of Biloxi, MS, Khanh Erekson (Natalie) and Khanh Nguyen of Albuquerque; two brothers, Van Nguyen of Tampa, FL and Kha Nguyen of Longan, Vietnam; three sisters, Lyly Dunn of England, Huong Hanley Pankratz of Albuquerque and Ut Thompson of California; and her best friend for 40 years, Marillam Bibi of Grand de Noisy, France; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kim Chi came to the United States in 1975 as a Vietnamese refugee and had lived in Guam, USA, Madison, WI, San Jose, CA, and her final home was here in Albuquerque for 19 years. She was an accomplished seamstress and worked at Pioneer Wear since 1980. She lived to travel and had been all over the United States and Europe and had returned to her homeland Vietnam many times. Kim Chi was a kind, generous and beautiful person. Anyone that knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Cremation has already taken place and according to her wishes there will be no memorial services. The cremains will be returned to Longan, Vietnam at a later date to celebrate her new eternal life. We would like to give a special thank you to Pat Conkling, RN, Dana Smith and Juanita from UNM Home Health Care who gave to our dear Kim Chi the loving care that she needed in her final months---We love you always. Rushing -- Lt. Col. Cecil M. Rushing, US Army (Ret.), 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Monday, January 25, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, June Rushing of the family home; sons, Don G. Rushing and wife, Cynthia of LaJolla, CA and Michael J. Rushing and wife, Ellen of Indian Hills, CO; step-sons, C. Douglas McConnell and wife, Janna of Orlando, FL and Edward R. McConnell and wife, Shauna of Tulsa, OK; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eunice"Pete" Rushing. Mr. Rushing lived in Santa Fe from 1935-1940. He then moved to Albuquerque in 1940 where he lived until his enlistment in military service. Lt. Col. Rushing served in the US Army for over 29 years, retiring in 1971. He then was a state agent for National Educators Life Insurance Co. for 15 years. Mr. Rushing was a member of Sombre del Monte Christian Church. Rust -- Evelyn Rust, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since July 15, 1949, died Tuesday, January 26, 1999. Sachs -- Herman E. Sachs, 69, passed away at his home in Belen on Saturday, January 23, 1999. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry R. Sachs II and his mother, Magdelina Sachs. Herman is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley of the family home in Belen; children, Steven, Anna, Samuel, Christopher, Gregory, Michael, Richard, Lisa and David; grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Ambrosia, Roberto, Martin Jr., Alicia, Sarah, Samantha, Chad, Vannessa, and Ashley. Herman is also survived by one brother, Henry; and many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Rosary was recited on Sunday, 3:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home Chapel. Sandoval -- Mr. Alcario A. Sandoval passed away January 28, 1999. He was born in Puerta De Luna, New Mexico on December 23, 1922 and moved to Albuquerque in 1955. He retired from Bradbury and Stamm as an equipment operator. After that, his time was spent with his family, gardening, reading and traveling with his wife and family. Mr. Sandoval was a Hermano de La Morada de San Jose and a member of the St. Anne Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ramona Sandoval; sons, Anthony Sandoval and wife, Margo and Albert Sandoval and wife, Shannon; daughters, Gloria Maruch and husband, Charlie, Margaret Stinson, Arvina Sandoval, and Annette Illescas and husband, Erik; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Sandoval will be held on Saturday at the St. Anne Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Los Hermanos de San Jose. A Rosary for Mr. Sandoval will be recited on Friday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the St. Anne Church. Turkenburg -- Christiaan Turkenburg, 87, passed away at his home, early Wednesday morning, January 27, 1999. He was born July 26, 1911 in Boskoop, The Netherlands, and came to the United States in 1947, with his wife, Johanna, who survives him. The Turkenburgs have been residents of Albuquerque since 1954. In addition to his beloved wife, Johanna, Mr. Turkenburg is survived by his two daughters, Mary Lou Archuleta of Dallas, TX and Anita Misurek and husband, Bob of Albuquerque; and three grandchildren, Christopher Archuleta of Arlington, TX and Michael and Stephanie Misurek of Albuquerque. In 1993, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin Archuleta. Also surviving are his sisters, Jo Visser of The Netherlands and Gerarda McFarland of Ohio; and his brother, William Turkenburg of Michigan and their families. Private family services have been held.
