Obituary for Turkenburg

Christiaan Turkenburg, 87, passed away at his home, early Wednesday morning, January 27, 1999. He was born July 26, 1911 in Boskoop, The Netherlands, and came to the United States in 1947, with his wife, Johanna, who survives him. The Turkenburgs have been residents of Albuquerque since 1954. In addition to his beloved wife, Johanna, Mr. Turkenburg is survived by his two daughters, Mary Lou Archuleta of Dallas, TX and Anita Misurek and husband, Bob of Albuquerque; and three grandchildren, Christopher Archuleta of Arlington, TX and Michael and Stephanie Misurek of Albuquerque. In 1993, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin Archuleta. Also surviving are his sisters, Jo Visser of The Netherlands and Gerarda McFarland of Ohio; and his brother, William Turkenburg of Michigan and their families. Private family services have been held.
