Treviño -- Emily Michelle Trevino died in Albuquerque at the age of 29. Emily was employed by the Metropolitan Court, working in the Criminal Division. Emily is survived by her beloved parents, Richard G. Trevino and Leonella Trevino; brother, Richie Trevino; special friend, Steve Staggs; Emily's pets, Buttons and Bob; grandmother, Melba Barela; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. We will miss you, our beloved daughter, sister and friend. We are comforted knowing that you went home to be with our Lord. Funeral Services for Emily will be held on Saturday at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Saiz, Christopher Garcia, Dominic Chavez, Todd Trevino, Robby Cogburn and Joey Barela. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ted, Fabian, Chauncey, and Nicholas Barela, Mark and Steve Chavez, Terry, Chuck and Brian Cogburn, Woody Pacheco, Michael Herrera, Jason Moya, Cliff Brown, and Arthur Saiz. Aitson -- Doris Aitson, our beloved mother and friend, made her transition to the spirit world on March 12, 2001. Doris died after a brief illness at her home in Albuquerque NM. Her husband, Marlin Aitson, of Mountain View, OK, preceded Doris in death. Doris is survived by her daughters, Patty Aitson of Richardson, TX and Clarice Roy and her husband, Scott of Ft. Worth, TX. Doris was born in Crystal, NM on March 15, 1934 and attended the Rehoboth Schools and graduated from Calvin College. Doris was an educator in the Gallup McKinley County Schools for 31 years after a short stint at the Rehoboth Schools. After retiring from the Gallup system,, Doris worked for five years at the Zia School District and three years at the Acoma Sky City Community School. While in Gallup, Doris was a member of the United Methodist Church, Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial Association, ADK, PEO and KKI organizations. While in Albuquerque, Doris volunteered fro the New Mexico Aids Services and was a member of the Kiwanis organization. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 1800 Red Rock Dr., Gallup, NM. Followed by a reception at The Inn. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the New Mexico Aids Service, 625 Truman NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110-6472.

Black -- Otilia (Tillie) M. Black, 64, a resident of Albuquerque for 12 years, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Santiago (Jim) Black of Albuquerque; sons, Mark Black and wife, Barbara of San Antonio, TX, and Matthew Black of Albuquerque; grandson, Joshua Black of San Antonio, TX; brother, Tony Vasquez of San Antonio; and aunts, Delfina Baladez and Wilhemina Vasquez, both of San Antonio, TX. Mrs. Black was an active member and past president of the University Hospital Service League. She was also active with developing the Milagro Program at UNM Hospital. Mrs. Black was a member of San Felipe de Neri Church where she served as a reader and greeter. Rosary will be recited Friday, March 16, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at San Felipe de Neri Church, 2005 Plaza NW, Old Town, with Deacon Bob Lewis reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 17, 2001, 10:00 a.m., at San Felipe de Neri Church, with Monsignor Leo Lucero, Celebrant and Deacon Bob Lewis assisting. Brown -- Eva G. Brown, 84, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, and resident of Albuquerque since 1933, died Sunday, March 11, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph H. Brown; sons, Bill Logsdon, Roy Logsdon and Clifford Dale Logsdon, all of Albuquerque and Robert Brown of Chandler, AZ; daughters, Mae Current of California and Joyce Vanderleest of Marina, CA, Ruby Hamilton of Phoenix, AZ and Rosie Scott of Albuquerque; and 105 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Alameda, 8818 2nd NW, with Rev. Marvin Capehart officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Buttke -- Allen K. Buttke, 71, a loving husband and devoted father, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Harriet Buttke and two brothers, Harold Buttke and Eddie Buttke. Al is survived by his wife of 41 years, Warnell (Ruby) Buttke; one son, Allen F. Buttke and wife, Rene, of Edgewood; four daughters, Linda K. Buttke, of Los Lunas, Patricia Kemp and husband, Lee of Albuquerque, Wanda Kemp of Albuquerque, Sue Lovett and husband, Billy of Edgewood; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Copet of Marshfield, WI; brother, Carl Buttke of Alabama. Al was born and raised in Marshfield, WI. He retired after serving 21 years with the U.S. Air Force. Al was a life member of American Legion Post 99, the Stievos, 40/ 8 Voiturr 1534 and VFW Post 401. He served as a Commander of Post 99 and as a Department Commander for New Mexico. His most recent appointment was Programs Director for the American Legion Department of NM, which he held for 21 years. He was a member of the National Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Commission in Washington, DC for 15 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the SICU staff at the VA Medical Center for the wonderful care they provided. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2001 at the American Legion Post 49, 11007 Central NE. Pallbearers are Ralph Kemp, RJ. Kemp, Mark Bonham, Lee Kemp, Billy Lovett and Tony Santillanes. Interment will follow at National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 11:30 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held at American Legion Post 49 following interment. Cole -- Stephanie Ann Cole, age 23, beloved daughter and sister passed on March 12, 2001. She is survived by her parents, Barbara and W. Dwight Cole; her brother, Jason John Cole; her sister, Amy Marie Markham and husband, Jeff Markham; and her maternal grandmother, Mary C. Savage all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Stephanie graduated from Eldorado High School in 1997. There, as co-captain of the drill team, she loved to show off her passion for dance. She recently graduated from DeWolffe's School of Cosmetology and had just began her career. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd N.E. on Thursday, March 15, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited by the Mariannites at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, March 16, 2001 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Church with the Rev. Sam Falbo, officiating. Pallbearers will be John Savage, Mickey Ryan, Dannie Herod, John Menicucci, Steven Duran and Jason Smith.

Coplen -- Jessie Elizabeth Coplen, 105, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2001 in Socorro, NM. She was born November 3, 1895 to Herman and Anna (Zirbel) Vitense in Mazomanie, WI. She moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1923 with her husband, Arthur Thompson, who passed away in 1933. She married Walter Coplen in 1946. She was a long time and very active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque. She had many friends and charmed all that met her. She enjoyed gardening, reading and in later years, traveling. She is preceded by her husband, Walter and step-son, Frank Coplen. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Stanton and husband, Arthur of Socorro; step-daughter, Elsie Cook and husband, Carl of Albuquerque and Lois Leese of Farmington, NM; step-daughter-in-law, Adele Coplen of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Ann Stanton and husband, David Connor of Montpelier, UT, Tom Stanton and wife, Mary of Socorro, Bob Coplen and wife, Charlene of Belen, NM, Richard Coplen of Albuquerque, and Doug Coplen and Ellen Johnson of Washington, DC; seven great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephew. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque with Rev. Myron White and Rev. Phil Preston officiating. Cornell -- Murray J. Cornell, age 89, passed away on March 13, 2001 after an accident in his home in Denver CO. He had been a resident of Albuquerque and Santa Fe since 1936. He and his brothers Abraham B. Cohen and Walter E. Cohen were the founders of Pay Less Drug Store, Inc. They were pioneers of the concept of self-service discount department-drug stores. Walter joined Murray and Abraham in the Pay Less business after his service in World War II aboard a hospital ship. When Pay Less Drugs merged with the nationwide Walgreen Drug Co., Murray returned to Denver, CO where he owned and operated Cornell Prescription Pharmacies. Murray retired in 1992. He continued to supervise his properties in Santa Fe. Murray is survived by one daughter, Jeanne Rochelle Cornell of Albuquerque; one son, Dr. Lanny Cornell and his wife, Catherine of El Cajon, CA; three granddaughters, Deborah Jean Davis and her husband, John of Albuquerque, Lannette Rochelle Bloom and her husband, Todd of La Jolla, CA, Kendall Lynne Dann and her husband, Scott of El Cajon, CA; two great-granddaughters, Alesse Bloom, Melissa Bloom; one great-grandson, David Louis Dann; one sister, Zelda Gutman of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Abraham and Walter Cohen, two sisters, Rita Feldman of Detroit and Elsie Katz of Albuquerque. Crawley -- Thomas Victor Crawley, III, 52, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died on Monday, March 12, 2001. Thomas is survived by his mother, Florence of Albuquerque; son, Thomas Victor Crawley, IV of Albuquerque; brothers, Joseph Michael Crawley of Albuquerque and Jerald Mathew of Flagstaff, AZ; and long term friend and companion, Gloria Kriegshauser of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Victor Crawley, Jr. in 1999. Thomas was a member of the Local Musicians Union and a Life Master in the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League). He attended Sandia High School, was an All American Diver (springboard) at Sandia and attended UNM following graduation. Padilla -- Claude Padilla, Jr., 61, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, March 11, 2001.
