Hamilton -- Ronald E."Ronnie" Hamilton, Jr., 33, a resident of Albuquerque for 11 years, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Karen Hathaway Hamilton; son, Bobby Hamilton, age 6; daughter, Rhiannon Hamilton, age 3 1/2, all of Albuquerque; mother, Jo Laird and husband, Larry of Dillon, CO; father, Ron Hamilton, Sr. of Stanley, NM; sisters, Shelly Kroger of Dillon, CO, Tana Hamilton of Denver, CO and Odessa Hamilton of Stanley, NM; brother, Thomas Hamilton and wife, Nicole of Minneapolis, MN; grandfather, Judge T. Hamilton of Southern New Mexico; and father and mother-in-law, Bob and Mary Ann Hathaway of Albuquerque. Ronnie never met a stranger and truly had a"heart of gold". Services will be held Thursday, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Cremation will follow the Service.

Harris -- Yeuell Yeamans Harris, beloved father, husband, and friend passed away May 13, 2002. His wife preceded him by six months. He is survived by his daughters, Jerrilyn Foster and Charlyn Campbell; and five grandchildren. Yeuell resided in Albuquerque for the past 11 years having come to Albuquerque from Honolulu, HI, his home of 50 years. Yeuell was born in Bristo, VA on January 25, 1916. He graduated from King College in Bristo, VA and received a master's degree from Duke University and a doctorate at University of California at Berkeley. He taught history and coached football in his early years. Later, he worked in educational research. His love of people, boundless energy and curiosity about all things will be missed. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 10000 Indian School NE. 242-5942.

Herbeck -- Marjorie Herbeck, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1967, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Herbeck whom she married in 1953; and her son, Bob Herbeck of Long Beach, California. Marjorie sold real estate for a few years, but her primary job and love was that of being a wife and mother. She loved to play bridge and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2002, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee. Johnson -- Gladys E. Johnson, 79, a resident of Albuquerque died, Tuesday, June 18, 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Susan M. Goens and husband, Jerry of Albuquerque, Martha K. Muller and husband, Ron of Wildorado, TX and Becky F. Johnson and Lee Padilla of Sapello, NM; son, Allen M. Johnson of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brenda and Marcus Boyd, Clint Goens, Jim and Kimberly Muller, Ben and Misti Muller, Seth and Shannon Muller, Isaac Muller, Melody, Marcus and Nicole Johnson; six great-grandchildren; brother, Everett Learmont; and sister-in-law, Maxine Mulgannon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Johnson; daughter, Karen Lotspeich; and son, Donald Johnson, Jr. She was a piano teacher, often playing in Nursing Homes, concert pianist and soloist. Gladys played for numerous churches including L.L.L. and SS Classes, as well as radio. Mrs. Johnson was a longtime member of Hoffmantown in Albuquerque, and more recently a member of Palo Duro Baptist in Wildorado, TX. Services will be held, Friday, June 21, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Dr. Ron Muller and Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Goens, Clint Goens, Ben Muller, Jim Muller, Lee Padilla and Marcus Boyd. Maldonado -- Leo Maldonado passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2002. Leo was born on February 21, 1940 in Silver City, NM and lived most of his life there before moving to Albuquerque in 1995. A Memorial Service will be held for Leo at the St. Francis Newman Center, 914 W. 13th Street in Silver City, NM on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Leo asked that his ashes be buried next to his father at the Maldonado Family Cemetery in Gila, NM. His family will gather at a later date to fulfill Leo's request. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity in Leo Maldonado's name.

Moats -- Carla"Jeannie" Moats, 52, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Monday, June 17, 2002 at home after a one year fight with pancreatic cancer. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the chapel. Box 10514, KCMO 64188, or Berachah Church Tapes and Publications, 5139 West Alabama, Houston, TX 77027. Jeannie was born September 24, 1949 in Topeka, KS. She was raised in Kansas City, KS and Overland Park and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1967. She attended Kansas State University and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1971 with a degree in elementary education. She taught kindergarten at Hudson Elementary School in Topeka, KS for three years before marrying Greg Moats and moving to Camp Pendleton, CA. After discharge from the Marine Corps, Greg and Jeannie returned to Overland Park and joined the family business presenting Dale Carnegie Training. Jeannie worked as the Vice President and bookkeeper until they sold the business in 2001. Jeannie was the consummate volunteer/helper. While raising two children, she was extremely involved with PTA, Scouts, Sports Teams, Booster Clubs, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Youth Life, Mom's In Touch, just to name a few. In addition to these activities, she found time to be a committed member of various bible study groups, PEO and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association where she served in numerous positions, including co-chairing the 1997, Kappa Homes Tour. Jeannie was preceded in death by parents, Jim and Noma Wilcoxon. She is survived by her husband, Greg of the home; son, Travis and his wife, Kara of Denver, CO; daughter, Loralee Collum and her husband, Jon of Pittsburg, KS; her stepmother, Donna Willcoxon of Albuquerque, NM; her father-in-law, John Moats of Overland Park, KS; her sisters, Jan Mast and husband, Ken of KCMO, Debbie Weigel and husband, Bill of Overland Park, KS, Amy Moslander and husband, Jim of Raytown, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her PEO, Kappa,"Gritch n Stitch", bible study, Grapevine and countless other friends for their loving support over the past trying year. Jeannie was a committed believer and student of the Word of God, in addition to being a wonderful teacher. Neeley -- O. Nelson Neeley, 83, a 43-year resident of Albuquerque, a loving Husband, Father, and grandfather, passed away, Sunday, June 16, 2002. Nelson was born in Pleasantville, OH, May 26, 1919. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hazel; son, Greg and wife, Kathy; grandsons, Devin and Ryan of Farmington; sister, Betty Wilson of Pleasantville, OH; and many nieces and nephews. Nelson was retired from AT&T after 41 years of service in 1983 in Colorado and New Mexico. He was active on local Masonic Lodges and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a longtime member of St. John's United Methodist Church. He enjoyed a lifelong love of travel. Hazel and Nelson enjoyed many trips in and outside of the U.S. His grandchildren were always a sparkle in his eye,"Papa" enjoyed watching them grow and learn. Nelson will long be remembered for his sense of duty to all he knew. His sense of family and the respect and care for their well-being will be greatly missed. Services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2002, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Rev. Charlie Price and Rev. Jim Fox officiating. Perrin -- James Stephen (Steve) Perrin, 55, beloved husband, father and son-in-law, passed away, June 18, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Perrin; two sons, Stephen Gregory Perrin; his wife, Karen; and granddaughter, Alexis Rose; Shaun Perrin and his wife, Ashlyn; and two grandchildren, Gavin and Maranda; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Coy Moss. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Sedillo; and stepfather, Dennis Sedillo, of Williamsburg, NM. Steve was a member of Masonic Lodge Temple Lodge #6, Scottish Rite Consistory of Santa Fe, Ballut Abyad Shrine. He was Past Chatter Editor, for The Ballut Abyad Shrine Center, Past Chief Engineer of Loco Patrol, a member Basga, Director's Staff, and Nomads, Demolay, and Albuquerque Court #24, Royal Order of Jesters. Steve's passions were R. V. Travel with his wife, Sheila, his pug dogs, Yoda and Xena and playing golf. His Memorial Service will be held at the Ballut Abyad Shrine Center, 6600 Zuni, SE on June 22, 2002, at 3:00 p.m., a with reception immediately afterward in the Fez Club. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ballut Abyad Shrine Center for the Children's Transportation Fund or the Building Fund.

Smith -- Nellie Pauline Smith, longtime resident of Roswell, NM died June 10, 2002 in Castlerock, CO near Denver where she resided for the past two-and-half years. Pauline was born in Iberia, MO July 15, 1913. She was predeceased by her husband, Gene Smith in 1970; and by three granddaughters; and one great-grandson. Pauline is survived by her children, Robert and Tomasita Smith of Denver, CO, Rosemary Ames of Albuquerque, Reba Runyon of Artesia, NM and Gene and Helen Smith of Circleville, Utah; and a special granddaughter, Katherine Pulliam of Albuquerque. Pauline is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Pauline and Gene came to New Mexico in 1932 and managed the Diamond A Ranch in Picacho, NM prior to moving to Roswell where he worked for the Sheriff's Department and later the New Mexico State Police Department where he retired. Pauline retired from St. Mary's Hospital where she worked for many years as an LPN. She was renowned at the hospital for her perfect attendance. Services were held at St. Thomas More in Denver on June 18, 2002.

Class -- Lois R. Class, 68, beloved mother, sister, and friend passed on to her eternal day, June 16, 2002. She was born in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Lebanon High School and Ohio State University before moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1957. She is survived by her daughter, Karlen Blackman; and grandson, Ahjay of Edgewood, NM; brother, Dan Wunker of Barstow, CA; sister, Susanna Keller of Denver, CO; and brother, Dave Wunker of Santa Fe, NM. In addition to working for the Social Security Administration and teaching piano, Lois enjoyed an active intellectual life, having interests and talent in music, art, writing and literature. She died at her home in the care of her family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd. SE, on Thursday, June 20, 2002 at 11:00 a.m.
