Obituary for Harris

Yeuell Yeamans Harris, beloved father, husband, and friend passed away May 13, 2002. His wife preceded him by six months. He is survived by his daughters, Jerrilyn Foster and Charlyn Campbell; and five grandchildren. Yeuell resided in Albuquerque for the past 11 years having come to Albuquerque from Honolulu, HI, his home of 50 years. Yeuell was born in Bristo, VA on January 25, 1916. He graduated from King College in Bristo, VA and received a master's degree from Duke University and a doctorate at University of California at Berkeley. He taught history and coached football in his early years. Later, he worked in educational research. His love of people, boundless energy and curiosity about all things will be missed. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 10000 Indian School NE. 242-5942.
