Chavez -- Cipriana B. Chavez, 71, a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 6, 1999. Mrs. Chavez was a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church; she loved having all her children near hear, she leaves to her family the love, many memories and values of being the devoted and loving Mother that she was. She is survived by her fiance, Cres Salazar; her children, Romanita Tafoya, Rose Espinosa and husband, Leo, Angie Sandoval and husband, Vince, Viola Astorga and husband, Antelmo, Theresa Carabajal, Robert Chavez, Augustina Chavez, Anita Gonzales, Anthony Chavez and wife, Felicia; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one sister, Teresita Ayon; two brothers, Frank Barragan and wife, Mary and Salomon Chavez. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Final viewing will be this morning, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today, 9:00 a.m., at St. Anne's Catholic Church, with Fr. John Shedlock as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Estancia Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Claud Tafoya, Leonard Espinosa, Joe Chavez, Joe Lascano, Robert Chavez Jr., Anthony Chavez and Carmen Astorga. Cordova -- Lawrence Cordova, 65, a beloved and devoted husband, father and grandfather, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 8, 1999. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people stay awhile and leave footprints in our hearts...And we are never the same. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Cordova of the family home; his precious children, Deborah, Ralph, Vince, Leon and Misty; his joyous grandchildren, Matthew, Candice, Lawrence, Michael, James, Chris and Autumn; great-grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Nicholas. Also surviving are one sister, Ana Cordova; one brother, Pete Cordova; and several nieces and nephews. We love you, Dad, and will always miss you. Visitations will be Sunday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Monday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 12:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Casket bearers will be Ted Cordova, Vivian Cordova, David Gonzales, Rudy Luna, Peter Valencia and Matthew Cordova. Honorary bearers will be Michael Garcia, Lawrence Cordova and James Cordova. Military honors will be accorded by the New Mexico Honor Guard. Eberhardy -- Vernon Joseph Eberhardy, 69, a resident of New Mexico since 1971, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Jane Eberhardy of the family home; daughters, Joette Marie Haase and husband, Jerry of Tacoma, WA, Dana Jean Gonzales and husband, Armando of Dixon, NM, Christy Ann Kieser and husband, Earl of Las Vegas, NV, and Theresa Louise Bird and husband, Michael of Albuquerque; son, Scott Mathias Eberhardy of Espanola; grandchildren, Marie Charlotte Miller and husband, Gary and Jessica Lynn Haase, all of Tacoma, WA, Christopher Paul Kieser in the U.S. Marine Corps in San Diego, CA, Shaunna Lynn Kieser of Las Vegas, NV, Rhiannon Lynn Bird of Albuquerque, and Damian Edward Gonzales of Dixon, NM; sisters, Audrey Schroeder and husband, Julian of Littleton, NC and Carol Trimberger and husband, Leon of Fair Oaks, CA; brother, Roger Eberhardy of Sheboygan, WI; and many, many other relatives. Mr. Eberhardy served in the U.S. Army. He was a former member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, was a member of the Holy Name Society, and was manager of the Holy Ghost Church Bingo. He was also a member of American Legion Post #99. Mr. Eberhardy retired from General Electric. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 5:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Bob Lewis reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, with Father Terry Brennan, Celebrant. Interment will take place Monday, 12:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Eberhardy, Michael Bird, Armando Gonzales, Earl Kieser, Gary Miller and Roger Eberhardy. Griego -- Mr. Antonio M. Griego Jr., 60, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on July 8, 1999. Mr. Griego is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Mrs. Betty Griego; his father, Mr. Antonio M. Griego Sr.; two sons, Gene Aaron Griego and Leonard Jason Griego and wife, Michelle; two daughters, Bonnie Maldonado and husband, Rudy and Shirley Griego-Martinez; grandchildren, Felicia and Adam Maldonado, Kathy and Samantha Griego and Tomas Giron; three sisters, Lugie Gonzales and husband, Pablo, Mary Ann Mora and husband, Billy, Virginia Luna and husband, Manuel. Mr. Griego was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the St. Francis Xavier Church, 817 Arno SE, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. by Father Manuel Fernandez. Final visitation will be Monday morning in the church, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Manuel Fernandez. Lucero -- Rose Lucero, 77, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 1999. She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Celestino Lucero; daughters, Lillian Lucero and Anna Gonzales; and three grandchildren, Daniel Espinosa, Bianca Gonzales and Amber Gonzales. Castillo -- Eric Steve Castillo, 18, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 4, 1999. Eric is the beloved son to Linda Castillo and husband, Lupe; one brother, Cory Marquez; one sister, Brandi Alire; his nana, Sharon Donahue; papa, Bill Donahue; grandpa, Rudy Fernandez and wife, Virgie; second mother and tio, Carla Martines and Albert; uncles, Guy and wife, Sheri and Steve Fernandez and friend, Flo; aunts, Debbie Fernandez, Anita Fernandez, Rachel Martines and Patricia Gonzales; cousins, Tino, Tony, Nick and Julian Martines, Tracy, Delilah, Kristy and Steve Fernandez. Eric is preceded in death by his big sister, Bella Maria Marquez. Gonzales -- Diana Gonzales, 32, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died June 30, 1999 at a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, Pat; two daughters, Erica and Angelica; her mother, Vera Bailey and husband, Ron of Albuquerque; her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Patricio Gonzales of Socorro; three sisters, Angela Garcia and husband, Elmer of Albuquerque, Josie Garcia, Yolanda Herrera of Albuquerque; four brothers, David Barela and wife, Vivian, Manual Barela and wife, Connie, Alex Barela and wife, Annette, and Ernie Barela, all of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was self-employed with Pat and Diane's Krazzy Karaoke. She loved to sing and she brought joy to family and friends. Rosary was Friday, July 2, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at Holy Child Parish in Carnuel, New Mexico. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 3, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Garcia, Armando Garcia, David Barela Jr., Ernest Barela, Eric Barela and Devin Barela. Candelaria -- Gabriel Candelaria, 37, beloved husband, father and son, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 29, 1999. Mr. Candelaria was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He is survived by his loving wife, Isabel; daughter, Monica; son, Gabriel Jr.; grandsons, Michael; mother, Diana Flores; father, Eddie Candelaria; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Dolores Mirabal; brothers, Victor and Richard; sister, Valerie; brother and sisters-in-law, Michael Mirabal, Patricia Baca, and Ana Marie Mirabal; grandmothers, Theresa Santillanes and Sally Mc Guinness. He was well loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and by his Godson, Ruben Martinez Jr. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Garcia -- William"Billy" Garcia, 78, passed away June 27, 1999. He was a lifelong resident of Old Town and a member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cecelia Garcia Velarde. Billy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Garcia; six daughters, Barbara Haggard of Lyons, KS, Viola Maez of Lynwood, WA, Catherine Magruder of Richmond, MO, Lorraine Velarde of Albuquerque, Betty Gonzales of Corpus Christi, TX, and Valerie Groll of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial services will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 1999, and Mass to be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 1, 1999.
