Obituary for Cordova

Lawrence Cordova, 65, a beloved and devoted husband, father and grandfather, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 8, 1999. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people stay awhile and leave footprints in our hearts...And we are never the same. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Cordova of the family home; his precious children, Deborah, Ralph, Vince, Leon and Misty; his joyous grandchildren, Matthew, Candice, Lawrence, Michael, James, Chris and Autumn; great-grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Nicholas. Also surviving are one sister, Ana Cordova; one brother, Pete Cordova; and several nieces and nephews. We love you, Dad, and will always miss you. Visitations will be Sunday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Monday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 12:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Casket bearers will be Ted Cordova, Vivian Cordova, David Gonzales, Rudy Luna, Peter Valencia and Matthew Cordova. Honorary bearers will be Michael Garcia, Lawrence Cordova and James Cordova. Military honors will be accorded by the New Mexico Honor Guard. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
