BARTLETT-ALLEN -- DENISE. Mrs. Denise Bartlett-Allen, 41, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 26, 2005. Denise is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Mr. Arnoel Allen; three children, Aubrey Allen and fiance, Robert Pallares, Jennae Allen and Steven Trujillo Sr., and Arnoel Chris Allen Jr.; father, Robert Bartlett and wife, Maria; mother, Reyna Giron and husband, Don; sister, Patricia Bartlett; two brothers, Brian Dean Bartlett and wife, Karen, and Sean Bartlett and Stephanie Velasquez; grandmothers, Rosalina Bartlett and Hila Cebada; grandson, Steven Trujillo Jr. and one on the way; in-laws, Arnoel E. Allen Sr. and wife, Ada; many aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Denise was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005 at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Mr. Hank Goeffriom. Final Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Father Vance. MONTOYA -- Louis A. Montoya, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Mr. Montoya was born on April 6, 1920 in Las Vegas, NM, the son or Jose and Guadalupe Montoya. He married Maria Sanchez on March 3, 1939. He served in WWII from 1942-1945 a member of the 9th Infantry on the front lines in Germany where he earned the Purple Heart and Infantry Badge. A hero to many, especially his wife, Maria; goddaughter/niece, Theresa Raineri; grand-nephews, John and Wyatt Raineri; and compadre, Macario "Max" Martinez. Survived by his wife, Maria Montoya; loving sisters, Gloria Bullet, Virginia Garcia, and Rebecca Williams; brother, Bill Montoya. A Memorial Service will be planned in the future. MARTINEZ -- Ray P. Martinez, age 50, and a life long resident of Albuquerque died on Thursday November 24, 2005 following an accident. Ray is survived by his parents Richard and Maria Elena Conejo; one daughter, Renee Martinez; grandmother, Felipe Conejo; four sisters, Elizabeth Ramirez and husband, Dennis, Lilly Boggs and husband, Greg, Vickie M. Timpanaro and husband, Jim, and Maria Baldwin and husband, Ben; three brothers, Gilbert Martinez, Ricky Martinez, and Ricky Beltran; and his one granddaughter, Angelica Martinez. He is also survived with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial for Ray will be celebrated on Monday November 28, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. in the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Steven Clingan, Tony Aguilar, Greg Boggs, Ricky Martinez, Ricky Beltran, and Johnny Garcia serving as casket bearers. LOPEZ -- Richard A. Lopez, 37, March 6, 1968 - November 12, 2005 The Lopez family thanks Father Choong, Deacon Al McLane, and Deacon Bob & "Flo" Martinez for the Christian burial Mass and Rosary Services. Everything was so inspirational and beautifully done. Our thanks to participating members of the Shrine of St. Bernadette Choir and to Maria Teresa Sanchez and Ernie Griego for adding to a beautiful celebration of life. CLARKE -- Dora L. Clarke, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at a local hospital. She was born July 4, 1915 in Albuquerque to Cresenciano and Maria (Candelaria) Lucero. She married Reed S. Clarke on June 7, 1944 in Albuquerque. Mrs. Clarke attended Albuquerque Public Schools and was a graduate from Albuquerque High School in 1933. She was fluent in English and Spanish. Mrs. Clarke attended the University of New Mexico for two years and began teaching with a two year college certificate. Her first APS assignment was in year 1935-36. She continued university work during summers and night school, receiving B.S. degree in 1943 and M.A. in 1957. Her experience has been 47 1/2 years in the full range of educational positions. She was an APS classroom teacher, elementary and secondary including the teaching of Spanish in both elementary and secondary school. Mrs. Clarke was a primary curriculum consultant with APS for 16 years and for the Overseas Teach Corps in Caracas, Venezuela taught summer session 1964 a math workshop for supervisors. She worked on a UNM project in Quito, Equador, language arts workshop for administrators and supervisors and summer math workshops for College of St. Joseph and University of New Mexico extension department during the summers of 1962 and 1963. Mrs. Clarke was Director of Head Start Summer Session, 1970. She assisted Dr. Ethna Reid, Reading Workshop, Valley High School, summer 1973 at La Verne College in Downey, CA. Mrs. Clarke served on the School Board for St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church during 1971. For thirteen years administration as elementary school principal at Five Points, Alameda, Whittier, Mission Elementary, Armijo and Bandelier. During 1971 and 1972, she completed an additional 30 hours at UNM, U of A, and La Verne College, CA in reading, team learning, adult education, curriculum, bilingual education, kindergarten methods and guidance. At present Mrs. Clarke's degree is M.A. +30 additional hours. In 1983 she retired from Bandelier Elementary school after a total of 47 1/2 years in APS. She is survived by her husband, Reed Clarke of Albuquerque; daughter, Idelle Clarke of Pasadena, CA; son, Blaine Reed Clarke; grandsons, Cameron R. Clarke and Michael R. Clarke; granddaughters, Lyndy Kay Clarke, all of Albuquerque and Heather M. Cowles of California; sister, Tonie Angel; and brother, Fred Lucero. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE. Entombment will take place Monday, 11:30 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Desi Baca, Roland Quintana, Jamie Barraras, Cameron Clarke, Michael Clarke and Bob Barela. MONTOYA -- Erminia Maria Montoya, age 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was wrapped in the arms of the Lord and taken home, Wednesday, November 23, 2005. Visitations will be Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Church, 300 Mildred NW, followed by a Rosary for Erminia at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Therese Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Marvin Montoya, Jason Montoya, Isaac Montoya, Herman Chavez, George Trujillo, and Clarence Montoya. ORTIZ -- Eloy Roberto (Bobby) Ortiz, 65, born November 5, 1940 passed away on November 18, 2005 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Ortiz is the beloved husband to, Mrs. Alicia Segovia Ortiz married for 30 years. He is also survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Pauline V. Ortiz; three loving children, Cecilia A. Coca and husband, Jeff, Geralda (Lala) Jansen and husband, David and Abraham (Aba) Ortiz; three brothers, Patrick DeBaca and wife, Donna, Alfred (Freddy) Ortiz and wife, Roseanita and Michael Ortiz; three sisters, Prescilla Garcia and husband, Raymond, Lorraine Sanchez and Geraldine (Gerry) Meyer and husband, Michael; five grandchildren, Cecily, Christopher, Brianna, Jeffrey and Alyssa. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Eloy Ortiz, beloved grandmother, Julia Kavanaugh, an uncle, Abraham Kavanaugh, his grandfathers, Jose Varela and Adolpho Ortiz, grandmother, Maria Ortiz, nephew, Matthew Garrett Meyer and a brother-in-law and best friend, Gilbert (El Solitario) Sanchez. Bobby was born in his beloved Las Vegas, New Mexico where he lived with his parents and Grandma Julia and Uncle Aba. When his parents moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico in the early 1950's, he got to stay and live with his grandma and uncle. While he lived there he attended high school at West Las Vegas, home of the Dons, but graduated from Albuquerque High School in Albuquerque in 1959. While still in high school, he joined the Army National Guard. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy where he served over 28 years faithful service to his country. He served three tours of Vietnam. He was a photographer in the Navy and continued with this profession until he died. During the course of his life, he served in the Army, Marines and Navy. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1983, after his retirement from the Navy, he moved with his wife and family back to Las Vegas, New Mexico where he established his photography studio, "Roberto's Casa de Photographia" at the old family dwelling on South Pacific. A visitation will be Sunday at St. Charles Catholic Church, 1818 Coal SE from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Geraldine Meyer. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 9:00 a.m until 9:30 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. by Father Robert Lussier, SSS. Interment of Mr. Ortiz's Cremains will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with full Military Honors by the United States Navy. DOYLE -- Bernard Patrick Doyle (Bernie), age 86, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2005. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Edna Doyle; his parents, John Joseph and Annie Lenehan Doyle; sister, Jane Feichtmeir; brother, Robert Doyle; nephews, Ronald Doyle and Whitney Brandon; and niece, Joanie Feichtmeir. Bernie is survived by his sister, Beatrice Brandon and husband, Herbert, of Lakewood, CO. Other survivors include his daughters, Alex Beach and husband, Arthur, Annie Ferguson, Stacey Poindexter and husband, Robert; son, Luke Doyle and wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Eric Beach, Jesse, Kelly, and Ben Ferguson, Katie and Audrey Poindexter, Clarke, Whitney, and Lindsay Doyle. Bernie was born on March 17, 1919 in Menlo Park, CA. Bernie's birth took place in the Palm Hotel above the Lenehan Saloon on St. Patrick's Day! The entire town knew of and celebrated his birthday. He graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory and The University of Santa Clara where he is listed on the 1939 football roster. He was a Major in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served his country during WWII, as a flight instructor at Randolph and Kelly Fields, San Antonio, TX. Bernie worked in Albuquerque, NM and Arlington, TX as a salesman for Duke City Lumber Company. After retirement, he had an active career as a community volunteer. He served as President of the Ft. Worth, TX Senior Men's Club, President of the St Maria Goretti Leisure Club, and President of the Arlington Serra Club. Bernie was known for his Irish recitations and loved to entertain anyone who would listen. His renditions of Casey at the Bat, The Man Who Fanned Casey, "The BUG", and The Kids Last Fight, are among the selections that brought his audience to laughter and tears. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. Father Andy Pavlak will celebrate a Memorial Mass in thanksgiving for Bernie's life, on Friday, November 25, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas NE on the UNM Campus.
