MONTOYA -- Louis A. Montoya, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Mr. Montoya was born on April 6, 1920 in Las Vegas, NM, the son or Jose and Guadalupe Montoya. He married Maria Sanchez on March 3, 1939. He served in WWII from 1942-1945 a member of the 9th Infantry on the front lines in Germany where he earned the Purple Heart and Infantry Badge. A hero to many, especially his wife, Maria; goddaughter/niece, Theresa Raineri; grand-nephews, John and Wyatt Raineri; and compadre, Macario "Max" Martinez. Survived by his wife, Maria Montoya; loving sisters, Gloria Bullet, Virginia Garcia, and Rebecca Williams; brother, Bill Montoya. A Memorial Service will be planned in the future.
