Padilla -- Mr. Herman Padilla, 80, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 4, 2003. Mr. Padilla was preceded in death by his loving wife Julia Padilla (1996). Mr. Padilla is survived by his two daughters, Patsy Lerma and husband Ruben, and Frances Medina and husband Al; a son, Herman Padilla and wife Charlotte; eight grandchildren, Jeanne, Teresa, Isaac, Adam, Hollie and husband Phil, Natalie, Melanie, and Brenda; four great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Isaiah, Amanda, and Elisha. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with a prayer service at 7:00pm, his daughter, Mrs. Patsy Lerma will officiate. Final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30am until 10:00am at Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service at 10:00am by Pastor Sal Cruz. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaac Padilla, Adam Lerma, Phil Rodriguez, Donald Padilla, Robert Whitaker, and Rick Gallegos. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of the arrangements, 243-7861.

Sanderson -- Thelma Poole Sanderson, a long time resident of Albuquerque since 1941, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at the age of 84. She leaves two children, daughter, Beverly Sanderson Gallegos; and son, William E. Sanderson; her dearest friend and companion for many years, Leo Romero; former son-in-law, Edward M. Gallegos; two grandsons, Simon M. Gallegos and Marcello A. Gallegos; and great-grandson, Nathan M. Poole and wife, Daniel H. Poole and wife, Regina; sister-in-law, Jane Gullit Poole; and may cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Hattie Poole; her husband, Morris S. Sanderson; sisters, Mildred Poole and Doris R. Poole; and brother, Robert H. Poole. Thelma was owner and founder of Sanderson Employment Service where she was actively involved from 1962 to 1991. She was an active member of the Monte Vista Christian Church. Thelma's two main passions were her bridge club and her enjoyment in traveling throughout the country. Thelma was an active contributor to the Salvation Army and the Boys Ranch. A private memorial service will be held at the family's residence.

Trujillo -- Daniel O. Trujillo, 65, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2002. He was born on June 16, 1937 in Trujillo, NM. Mr. Trujillo is survived by his sons, Daniel Trujillo, Manuel Trujillo and wife, Tina and Marcus Trujillo; daughters, Darlene Trujillo, Lorraine Gallegos and husband, Ruben and Germaine Bird and husband, Matthew; brothers, Eloy Trujillo and wife, Aneda, Lawrence Trujillo and wife, Sandra, Jerry Trujillo and wife, Diana and Leroy Trujillo and wife, Margie; sisters, Lupe Taylor, Mary Thomas and husband, Donald and Lauda Trujillo; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two unborn great-grandchildren. Mr. Trujillo will be deeply missed by his loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Trujillo, Manuel Trujillo, Marcus Trujillo, Orlando Trujillo, Marcus Trujillo Jr. and Michael Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Trujillo II and Michael Trujillo. Bruington -- John M. Bruington, 82, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, died Monday, December 23, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Flora Castillo Bruington; brothers, George Bruington, both of Albuquerque and Charles C. Bruington of Kingman, AZ; daughter, Cecilia Genero and husband, John of Albuquerque; son, Norbert H. Padilla and wife, Ofelia of Bosque Farms; daughter, Eileen Naccaratto and husband, Ken of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Bruington was preceded in death by his sister, Rowena Sherwood; brothers, Gene, James and Bob Bruington; and grandson, John E. Genero Jr. He retired from Crane-O¯Fallon Plumbing Supply after 30 years. Mr. Bruington was an avid fisherman. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 3:30 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph A. Genero, Harry A. Genero, Christopher Padilla, Stephen Goslow, Michael Genero and Eric Gallegos. Lucero -- Reynold"Rey" T. Lucero, 57, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 in Albuquerque. He was born September 27, 1945 to Augustine and Della (Nunez) Lucero in San Acacia, NM. Rey was employed by the City of Socorro and was the Airport manager for the Socorro Municipal Airport. He is survived by his wife, Sara Romero Lucero of their home in Lemitar, NM; children, Anthony Lucero of Lemitar and Rosalie Silva and husband, Valante of Belen, NM; brothers, Willie of Albuquerque, Henry, Leroy and Augustine Jr., all of Polvadera, NM; sisters, Anna Mae Fleming and husband, Nick of Socorro, NM and Evelyn Gallegos and husband, Buck of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Sabrina, Desirae and Valante Silva Jr. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2002 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be Friday, December 20, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Steadman-Hall. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Steadman-Hall with Rev. Archibeque -- Dan Archibeque, Jr., our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, left our world to join our Lord on December 11, 2002. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, having the rank of Sgt. 1st Class. He was awarded a Bronze Star, Silver Star and Purple Heart, and was a ¯Light Fighter¯ with the 7th Infantry Division. Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary V. Archibeque, a grandson, Matthew Archibeque, his parents, Sadie and Dan Archibeque Sr., and sister Nora Martinez. He is survived by nine children, Mary Reed and husband, Ken Behne, Gilbert Archibeque and wife Debra, Gloria Archibeque and husband, Chuck Pohl, Loretta Sanchez and husband, Tommy, SSG. Isabel Archibeque and partner, Margaret Dominguez, Jessica Archibeque and Kenneth Madrid, Elizabeth Archibeque, Gabriel Archibeque and John Archibeque. Dan is also survived by his precious grandchildren, that brought him profound love, joy and pride; Robert and Jennifer Reed, Eric and Gilbert Archibeque, Dominic and Anthony Archibeque, Desiree Pohl, Monique and Leanne Sanchez, Angelica, Daniel, Anthony, and Ashley Otero, and Charae Archibeque. Also surviving are brothers, Albert Archibeque and wife Diana of Phoenix, AZ., and Nino Archibeque and wife, Marcella of Albuquerque; sisters, Nancy Gallegos of Albuquerque, Angie Wagner and husband, Tom of Houston, TX., and Sara Barela of Albuquerque. Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Alameda and 4th NW. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2002. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2002. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors. Chavez -- Celia Arellano Chavez, age 98, was born August 28, 1904, in Chacon, New Mexico, passed away December 13, 2002, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Celia was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Chavez; four brothers; and one sister. Survivors include daughters, Connie Dinnsen and husband, Fred, of Prescott, AZ, Ernestine Gutierrez of Albuquerque; sons, Robert Chavez and wife, Elizabeth, of Las Cruces, NM, Joe Chavez, of Tucson, AZ, Louie Chavez and wife, Ruth Ann of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren, Bobby and Danette Chavez, Nita Gallegos, Richard, Thomas, Carmela, David, Lara, Joe and Timothy Chavez, Monica Brown, Jessica Duckett, Lisa England, Kim and Debbie Gutierrez, and Dana Lynn Ingram; numerous nephews and nieces. Celia was a very special person, and a wonderful mother. Her family was always her priority. Celia always had a kind word for everyone, never judged anyone and will be remembered as a wonderful cook whose door was always open to family and friends. Celia will be greatly missed by all including a very special sister-in-law, Carmon Martinez; her caring son-in-law, Servando Gutierrez; and very special friend, Louie Telles. Celia will be especially missed by her granddaughter, Deborah Gutierrez who loved her grandmother very much. Damron -- Billy Dale"Bud" Damron, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Wednesday, December 11, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lillian Damron of Albuquerque; daughters, Thelma Gaston and husband, Jerry of Fredericksburg, VA and Shirley Damron and Marty Martinez of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Cari Gaston, Brandon Gaston, Mike Damron; Misty Damron and Andrew Cisneros; and one great-grandson, Jordan Cisneros; brother, Eldon Damron and wife, Eileen of Woodward, OK; sisters, Dortha Nell Brantley and husband, Ray of Oklahoma City, OK and Louise Johnson and husband, Eldon of Woodward, OK; and nieces, nephews, and many friends. Bud was born in Henryetta, OK and joined the Marines out of high school. He served during WWII. Bud then moved to Raton, NM in 1947 where he met his wife, Lillian McQueary and they were married on June 12, 1948. He then went to work for Mountain Bell as a lineman and worked all over New Mexico. Bud retired from U.S. West in the mid eighties. He volunteered for the Roadrunner Little League as a groundskeeper because his grandson played Little League. Bud volunteered so much that be became a professional groundskeeper. In April 1996, Roadrunner Little League dedicated the concession-office complex, Damron Wray Baseball Facility, in honor of his many years of volunteering. He was also supportive of Eldorado High School Baseball team and the Vici Oklahoma Baseball team. He influenced and touched many lives by the type of man he was. He was very active in his church, Tramway Community Church, where he taught Sunday School for several years. Bud was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Services will be held Monday, December 16, 2002, 1:00 p.m., at Tramway Community Church, 4800 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, with Pastor Chuck Kofahl and Pastor James Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Rocque Gallegos, Jerry Gaston, Brandon Gaston, Mike Damron, Andrew Cesneros, and Patrick Mora.
