Obituary for Sanderson

Thelma Poole Sanderson, a long time resident of Albuquerque since 1941, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at the age of 84. She leaves two children, daughter, Beverly Sanderson Gallegos; and son, William E. Sanderson; her dearest friend and companion for many years, Leo Romero; former son-in-law, Edward M. Gallegos; two grandsons, Simon M. Gallegos and Marcello A. Gallegos; and great-grandson, Nathan M. Poole and wife, Daniel H. Poole and wife, Regina; sister-in-law, Jane Gullit Poole; and may cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Hattie Poole; her husband, Morris S. Sanderson; sisters, Mildred Poole and Doris R. Poole; and brother, Robert H. Poole. Thelma was owner and founder of Sanderson Employment Service where she was actively involved from 1962 to 1991. She was an active member of the Monte Vista Christian Church. Thelma's two main passions were her bridge club and her enjoyment in traveling throughout the country. Thelma was an active contributor to the Salvation Army and the Boys Ranch. A private memorial service will be held at the family's residence.
