ROZZI -- JOHN P. JR. Age 55, a resident of Calexico, CA, formally of Albuquerque's Old Town, passed away July 23, 2011 in California. He was born November 17, 1955. John was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was always ready to help anyone in need. Car problems? Just call John and he was there! He was a life long member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, even after leaving the state. John was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Sr. and son, Anthony. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana of California; his children, Jonathan Rozzi and wife Cynthia and Daniel Rozzi; grandchildren, Adriana, Krisha, Johnny and Anthony Rozzi; his beloved mother, Eloisa Rozzi; sisters, Terri Maez and husband Jim, Elaine Ortiz and husband Ruben and brother, Michael Rozzi all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. He touched all who knew and loved him and will be greatly missed. A Rosary to be recited at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel of Angels, Monday, August 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.. JONES -- NELSON LEE Age 72, died July 31, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Madelyn; children, David J Cerame and wife Susan, Stephanie A Jones, Jason M Jones, Matthew L Jones and wife Amber; grandchildren, Stacy, Nelson, Mariah, Spencer, Tyler, Kathrine and Dalton. Nelson was also survived by three great-grandchildren; many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil L and Dorothy A Jones; brother, Kenton Jones; sister, Sandra Garcia. Mr. Jones was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and served his country in the New Mexico Air National Guard. He worked with the Operating Engineers Union, Local #953 and then at the University of New Mexico as a computer analyst before retiring in 1995. Mr. Jones was the leather craftsman with Common Market at the Flea Market and State Fair since 1975, a craft he learned in 4-H at the age of ten. Nelson could also be seen every year at Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta pitching the famous balloon hat. He liked going to the movie theater with his wife and family. Nelson was much loved and will be dearly missed. Services will be held Friday, August 5, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at French, Westside Chapel, with burial to follow. GARCIA -- ANNABELL Age 80, was born October 11, 1930 and passed away August 1, 2011. She is survived by her husband Luciano Garcia; her children; her grandchildren. SALAS -- RICHARD E. A resident of NM, passed away Monday August 1, 2011 at age 46. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet E. Romero; brother, George L. Salas. He is survived by his son, Richard Salas Jr.; his father, Cipriano Salas and wife, Mary; brothers, Jerry Salas and wife Liz, Michael Salas & wife Tina, Thomas Salas; sisters, Debbie Salas, Betty Otero & husband Jose, Karen Garcia, Starlene Salas; sister-in-law, Helen Salas; several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed. Rosary will be held at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW, on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 7:00 pm. GALLEGOS -- DAVID Age 81. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great - grandfather, went home to be with our lord and savior on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. David was born on March 15, 1930, in Jemez, NM, and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM.David served in the US army during the Korean War, where he began operating heavy equipment. He continued as a crane operator for decades playing a key role in building most of the major structures in Albuquerque and throughout New Mexico. In 1963, while building the Federal Building on 5th and Gold, he was highly recognized for heroically saving his crew, his project, and his equipment by grounding an out of control 900 lb. bucket of concrete, while having the awareness to stabilize his sinking crane. David retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1996, and remained busy as a part-time Sales Rep for Zangara Dodge traveling New Mexico and surrounding communities.David was a devoted and unwavering Dallas Cowboy fan who also had a lifelong passion for auto racing, Do It Yourself projects, and keeping up with current events and world issues. David is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lucy Gallegos, whom he met at the age of 16; sons, David Gallegos Jr., Tommy Gallegos; daughters, Sandi Baca and husband Jim, Carol Aguilar and husband Joey, Patricia Martinez and Denise Polaco; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Beulah Mora, Doris Zamora and husband Frank, Carmen Vanderpool, and Bertha Trujillo and husband Greg; and numerous other family and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Reyna Gallegos, son Jerry Gallegos, daughters Jane Ghahate and Darlene Gallegos, grandson Tommy Gallegos, and brothers Clifford Gallegos and Louie Gallegos. David was love more than he could imagine, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday August 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Angels at Garcia Mortuary. GARCIA -- ABRAHAM Age 76, of Glendale, passed away July 26, 2011. Abraham was born in Gallup, NM on October 7, 1934, son of the late Cadelario Garcia and Beatrice Lucero. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Abraham is survived by his beloved wife, Viola; four children: Germaine, Rocky, Sandra, and Steve, all of Gallup; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Esther Gabaldon and Edwina Lucero. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Conrad and Lalo Garcia. Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 415 E. GARCIA -- CARIDAD ZURANO Age 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She is survived by her husband, Alfonso Garcia; daughter, Marie Corinne Ballard; grandchildren, Mark T. Ballard and wife, Nicole, Caridad Merkel and husband, Ryan, and Thomas Marten; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Merkel, Hope Merkel, Alex Ballard, Mikal Marten, Chris Marten, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is also survived by step-daughters, Carol Kline and Kathy Garcia, along with many grandchildren and extended family members residing in Utah. Caridad was preceded in death by her father, Tomas Zurano; mother, Concepcion Pallares; son, Frank Thomas Garcia, husband, Frank A. Garcia, and brothers and sisters. Caridad was born on September 11, 1921 in Lorca, Murcia Spain to Tomas Zurano and Concepcion Pallares. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
