ANELLA -- MARY ANDERMAN Was born in Albuquerque on April 20, 1929. She was educated at Manzano Day School, Sandia School for Girls, Albuquerque High, Hockaday (Dallas), UNM, and Finch College (New York City), but her formal education didn't account for her wisdom. That sprang from her free spirit. She loved to garden and did so with an eye towards uncultivated exuberance: she tended her flowerbed so that it looked like a wild meadow. She viewed the world with a clear-eyed humility and had no patience for the pompous or self-important. She loved classical music, modern art, and whimsical kinetic sculpture. Her favorite Albuquerque landscape was the ocean-like horizon of the west mesa. She found solace in the solitude of open spaces. She loved to travel, and read a culture not by its artifacts but by its people. She loved her independence, but most of all she loved her family and friends. She was a rebellious daughter, an enduring wife, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. A graceful listener, her dignity and integrity earned her the blessing of several life-long friendships. A person of understated elegance, she had a quiet strength that came from being able to laugh at the infinite wonder and delight of it all. She is survived by her sons, Anthony Anella of Albuquerque, NM, and James Anella of Delray Beach, FL; and by her grandchildren, Gibb, Kate and Clare Anella of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maud Anderman of Albuquerque; her brother, Wege Anderman of Denver; her daughter, Mia Anella of Albuquerque. Interment will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Fairview Cemetery. A Memorial will follow at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Philharmonic, PO Box 21428, Albuquerque, NM 87154 or to the Aldo Leopold Foundation, PO Box 77, Baraboo, Wisconsin 53913.

ELY -- RON Ron passed July 25, 2011, leaving behind many who will miss him. He also left behind many memories to remember him by. Ron was an enthusiastic man with much under his belt. He was a brave young military man, a busy middle-aged family man, always riding his motorcycle or chasing balloons. Ending life as a goofy, fun loving, always trying to make people laugh with the same old man jokes. Ron we love you and know that you gave so much to this world, not knowing that you gave at all.

FRANKENFELD -- PHILIP Philip was born on December 7th, 1919 in Enid, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully in the comfort of loved ones on July 28th, 2011 in Plano, Texas. Phil was the youngest of five brothers to parents, Theodore and Pearl Frankenfeld. He graduated from Enid High School and moved to Washington, D.C. and took a job with the Naval Department. It was there that he began dating his future wife, Mary Helen Hopwood, and they were married January 10th, 1942. He was later drafted into the Army in 1943 and served in the Army Air Corp, stationed in the Philippines and Okinawa. Phil and his four brothers all served in the military during WWII and were most fortunate to all return home when the war concluded. Phil eventually followed his brothers and parents, with wife and daughter, Mary Beth, to relocate to Albuquerque, NM. There he enrolled at the University of New Mexico and earned his business degree. As a result, Phil became a life-long fan, forever following the Lobos, through their wins and losses, up until the end of his life. His working career in New Mexico included the automobile, real estate and construction industries, retiring from Jaynes Corporation in 1977. Phil then entered the education profession, teaching accounting and business classes at Albuquerque TVI. While from a very humble beginning, Philip was a renaissance man of sorts - he designed and built his family's homes, was an avid reader, always shared his opinions on politics, loved fishing the San Juan River in NM, was the ultimate "fix-it" guy and never met a card game he did not like, especially bridge, cribbage and pinochle. A devoted and loving husband, Phil was married 57 years to Mary Helen. After her passing in 1999, Phil later met Joanne Mashburn, and they were married in 2001 and enjoyed 10 wonderful years together. Equally important, Phil was a loving and committed father to daughter, Mary Beth Frankenfeld and son, Ken Frankenfeld. Best of all was his love for his grandchildren, Chad Hill, Kenya Hill; Kevin, Kyle and Caroline Frankenfeld; and six from his extended family with Joanne in Texas. Phil was preceded in death by his four brothers; his first wife, Mary Helen; and grandson, Chad Hill. He is survived by his wife Joanne; daughter, Mary Beth; son, Ken and wife Sarah; ten grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and Joanne's adult children and spouses, who lovingly adopted Phil as their own father. Phil's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all his doctors, nurses and caregivers, especially Dr. Emil Freireich of M.D. Anderson; Sharon, his nurse at Plano Presbyterian Hospital; and all at Faith Presbyterian Hospice that cared for Phil during the last days of his life. A Memorial Mass was held on Monday, August 1, 2011 in Allen, TX. Ennichment services will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, NM on Friday, August 5th, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Any contributions in Phil's memory are requested to be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas or the charity of your choice.

Dad, you gave so much to everyone and never expected anything in return. Your family always came first. Your family, mom, the love of your life, and other lives touched by knowing you, all miss you more than I can say. Till I see your smiling face again, I LOVE YOU DADDY! Your Loving Daughter, Mary
