JARVIS -- William "Bill" Thomas, born May 28, 1932 to Thomas and Lillian (Peterson) Jarvis in Wellsville, OH, entered into his eternal rest on Thursday, April 16, 2009. Bill was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather who moved to New Mexico 57 years ago. He was a loyal member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church where he proudly served as an usher. Bill also held the positions of secretary and treasurer for the St. Vincent de Paul Society spanning a twenty year period. He also volunteered for the Republican Party and was currently employed by Wackenhut Security Division previously retiring from Jewel Tea Company after 25 faithful years in sales. Bill was the devoted husband of Juliana for 56 years, the father of; William T. Jarvis II (Tom) and wife Christine, Tony Jarvis, Mike A. Jarvis, and wife Dawna, Connie Grossman and husband Gary, Donna Torres and husband Isaac, Kevin Jarvis and wife Luwanda, Phillip Jarvis and wife Carol, grandfather to 19, William T. Jarvis III, Robyn Jarvis, Kristin Jarvis, Katie Jarvis, Jordan Jarvis, Michael Alexander Jarvis II, April Daniel, Joseph Grossman, Gary Grossman, Andrew Grossman, Michelle Mang, Jessica Torres, Michael Haynes, Cynthia Haynes, Alexander Jarvis, Melissa Jarvis, Nathaniel Jarvis, Andrea Sullivan, P. Steven Jarvis II; great-grandfather to three, Laila Richard, Brandon Haynes, Aiden Sullivan and brother to Emma Jean Hull and husband James. He was predeceased by his daughter Sandy Haynes and husband Michael; brother, Harry Jarvis, sister, Thelma Lou Gamble and husband Joe. Bill will be forever missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. A visitation will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2009 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Carlisle Chapel. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2009 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. CORTEZ -- William John "Bill" Cortez, age 72, of Rio Rancho, peacefully joined his beloved Jesus in Heaven, Good Friday, April 10, 2009. Billy was born and raised in Santa Fe, was a graduate of St. Michael's High School and attended Xavier University. Bill, a financial planner, was president of Cortez and Associates. He belonged to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6696, and Assembly 1905 where he held many offices while in the Order. Bill is survived by Maria, his wife of 10 years; son, Robert Cortez; daughter, Celia Cortez Gentner and husband Tom; step-daughters, Maureen Curtis and husband Tom, and Christine Ancalmo and husband Mauricio; grandchildren, Erin and Lauren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie P. and Lucy Cortez. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. YOSHIMOTO -- Lily Yoshimoto passed away on Saturday April 11, 2009. An Albuquerque resident since 1952, she was born in Linden, CA on May 27, 1931. She was an active member of the Japanese American Citizens League Bowling Club and enjoyed watching all sports on T.V. She was an avid Denver Bronco and Chicago Cubs fan. Lily was predeceased by her sisters Sumi Horibe, Mitzi Nishikawa and Christine Moy. She is survivied by her husband Henry (Hank); daughter Patricia Torino of Las Vegas, NV; sister Mary Ota, brothers Jim, Tom (Haru) and Henry (Sheila) Ito all of the Chicago area; in-laws Fred and Marie Yoshimoto and Yo Yoshimoto of Albuq. and Phillip Moy of Torrance, CA; nieces and nephews in various cities and states. CLARK -- Jesse T. Clark went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2009, at the age of 84. He was a lifelong resident of New Mexico and the owner of Clark's TV. Jesse had a real passion for flying that began after he finished high school. He joined the Army Air Corps and flew B-17's during World War II. He continued this love of flying for many years and we know now that he is flying higher than ever. One of Jesse's other loves was children. He was a school crossing guard for over ten years, and was affectionately known as "Mr. Stop Sign". Jesse was preceded in death by the love of his life and his "War Souvenir", Jean; and his mother, father, brother, and "Primo". He is survived by his sister, Helen McCluer; his three children, Linda Anderson and husband John, Tom Clark and wife Dolly, and Robert Clark and wife Renee; his six grandchildren, Deanne Downer, Shawn Anderson, and Ryan, Reanne, Ray and Rylee Clark; and his three great-grandchildren Mary Anne, Amy and Seth Downey. Services to celebrate his life will be held at New Covenant Church on April 14, 2009, at 10:00 am, followed by a full military honor service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. O'SADNICK -- Cletus M. (Nick) O'Sadnick, 77, passed from this life on April 8, 2009 after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. Nick was born and raised in Mendota, Illinois. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving honorably overseas in Japan, Alaska, and England where he met his wife, Kathleen. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last July. In addition to his wife, Nick is survived by his daughter, Valerie and her husband Tom Walsh of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Jeremy and Elaine; granddaughter-in-law, Jamie, and great granddaughter, Scarlet Grace. He also leaves a sister, Mary Rita; a large extended family in Illinois, and his beloved dog, Jeannie. Nick was preceded in death by a son, John, and grandson, Matthew who shared his love of airplanes and flying. The family wishes to thank the wonderful people with Presbyterian Hospice and the staff at Beehive Residential Care for everything they did to make Nick's last hours as comfortable as possible. We know that he and Matthew are soaring higher and farther than they ever could have in this life; we're so happy that they are together again. CLOCK -- Donald G. Clock, age 61, of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009. Don served his country in the United States Marine Corps in the Viet Nam War. He was a manager in the automotive industry in Albuquerque for many years. He was known for his enjoyment of fine dining. Don will be greatly missed by his children, Ron Clock and wife Jeannine, Debbie Bauer, and Krisie Sanchez and husband Jeremy; six grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Stephanie, Jason, Jesse, and Chase; two great-grandchildren, Mya and Leanna; brother, Tom Clock and wife Renee; former wife, Donna Clock, and numerous friends.
