Lowry -- Helen M. Lowry, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away March 9, 1999. She was born February 21, 1919 in Warrensburg, Missouri to Alpha and Myrtle Munkers. Helen graduated from Central Missouri State Teachers College, in Warrensburg on July 29, 1943 with a degree in Vocational Home Economics. She taught Home Economics in a number of locations in Missouri and also in Michigan and Mississippi when traveling with her husband, Edward Lowry, whom she married on February 21, 1945. The Lowrys have one son, Warren, who is married and is at home with wife, Madelyn of Anchorage, Alaska. As a loving wife and mother, Helen was active in Lutheran church youth activities in the number of cities which she and Edward lived, including Pascagoula, Mississippi, Columbus, Ohio, three times in Albuquerque, twice in Washington, DC area, twice in Seattle, Washington area, and Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She and Edward retired in Albuquerque in 1985. Besides Helen's activities in home and Christian youth, Helen enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing, and being a part of military officers wives clubs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, and Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 8766, Albuquerque, NM 87198-8766. Visitation will be Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary and Memorial Park, Saturday, March 13, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David E. Ewing -- Robert L. Ewing, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Sunday, March 7, 1999. He is survived by his sons, Robert Ewing, Jr. and wife, Yolie of Superior, AZ, and Thomas Ewing and wife, Kathy, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Flo Migliore and husband, Richie, of Albuquerque, and Joy Threlkeld and husband, Chuck, of Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Danita and husband, David, Eleana, Michael and fiancee, Becky, Curtis and wife, Alisha, and Mario; and great-grandchildren, Erinn, Erik and Evynn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 1987. Mr. Ewing was in the Merchant Marines during WWII and was a retired mechanic. Garcia -- Epifanio Garcia, 72, a lifetime resident of Canyon, New Mexico. He was a very well known and very well liked man by all who knew him. He passed away on March 8, 1999 at 10:45 p.m. from an aneurism attack. He is survived by six sisters, Carmelita Garcia, Aurora and husband, Ray Martinez, Neyda and husband, Herman Maestas, Senida and husband, Antonio Montoya, Sally and husband, Ramiro Velasquez, Alicia Garcia; nieces and nephews, Victoria and Anita Garcia, Leora Chavez, Nelson, Jerry and Reina Martinez, Tommy, Michael, George and Robert Maestas, Clara Myers, Teresa Simos, Ted, Eugene, Cathy and David Montoya, Alice Howard, Judy Velasquez, Leroy, Pat and Sammy Garcia, Cecilia Coleman, Rita Lucero, Gladys, Nellie, Patricia Abeyta, Louie, Ralph, Benny C de Baca, Pauline Mora. Visitations will be this evening at 2:00 p.m. till the time of Rosary at the chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Schorr -- John F. Schorr, age 91, and a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years died Sunday, March 7, 1999 in a local hospital following an illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 10, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. William J. Schorr Jr., Richard J. Schorr, Deborah D. Schorr, Anne M. Gonzales, David A. Gonzales, Frank B. Gonzales and Jeannie L. Fitzgerald will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Gonzales -- Mr. Richard M. Gonzales, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 7, 1999. Mr. Gonzales was the beloved husband of 36 years to Mrs. Dolores Gonzales. He is also survived by one son, Richard Anthony Gonzales and wife, Melissa; six daughters Barbara Ann Tanuz, Mary Carmen Gallegos and husband, Jose, Laura Lucero and husband, David Sr., Betty Bryant, Jeanette Mora and husband, Art and Carmen Carstello; one sister, Eloisa Gonzales and husband, Manuel; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mr. Gonzales was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II, a member of the American Legion Post 49. Visitation for Mr. Gonzales will be Tuesday evening after 6:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. Grevey -- Simone Grevey, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 1999. She was born in Smyrna, Greece on October 27, 1917. Her family moved to Paris, France when she was three years old and she was raised and educated there. During World War II, she met her husband, Joseph, in Paris where they were married in 1946. Shortly thereafter, Simone joined her husband in Albuquerque where he and his brothers, Jack Grevey and Maurice Liberman, had founded the Duke City Lumber Company. Simone is survived by her husband, Joseph of the family home; daughters, Helen Grevey and husband, Jay Hertz of Albuquerque, and Marianne Fischer and husband, Ruy of Sao Paulo, Brazil; three grandchildren, Alexander Fischer of Sao Paulo and Vivian and Suzana Fischer of New York City; brother-in-law, Jack Grevey and wife, Estelle Rosenbloom Grevey; and niece, Eileen Grevey Hillson and husband, David of Albuquerque. She is also survived by nieces and nephews in Sao Paulo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Apostolos and Chrisanthie Stamboli and sister, Alexandra Stamboli. Simone was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Trisagion will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Schorr -- John F. Schorr, age 91, and a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years died Sunday, March 7, 1999 in a local hospital following an illness. Woelk -- Aletha Mae"Lea" Woelk, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died Friday, March 5, 1999. She is survived by her first cousins, Florence Hystory of Great Bend, KS, Charles Aldridge of Garfield, KS, Ruth Hentz of Dallas, TX, Dan Leonard of Colton, WA, Louise Pence of San Diego, CA, Agnes Marie Leonard of Sublet, KS and Gladys Bickleman of Washington, DC; second cousins, Clarene Goodheart of Stockton, KS and David Leonard of Colorado; and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Erisman and Irene Boudreau, all of Albuquerque. Ms. Woelk worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers for 38 years and was Chief of Administrative Services at the time of her retirement. She was a life member of the Beta Iota Chapter, ESA Sorority. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 11:30 a.m., at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia, NM, with Rev. Palmer Clark officiating.
