Grevey -- Simone Grevey, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 1999. She was born in Smyrna, Greece on October 27, 1917. Her family moved to Paris, France when she was three years old and she was raised and educated there. During World Wart II, she met her husband, Joseph, in Paris where they were married in 1946. Shortly thereafter, Simone joined her husband in Albuquerque where he and his brothers, Jack Grevey and Maurice Liberman, had founded the Duke City Lumber Company. Simone is survived by her husband, Joseph of the family home; daughters, Helen Grevey and husband, Jay Hertz of Albuquerque, and Marianne Fischer and husband, Ruy of Sao Paulo, Brazil; three grandchildren, Alexander Fischer of Sao Paulo and Vivian and Suzana Fischer of New York City; brother-in-law, Jack Grevey and wife, Estelle Rosenbloom Grevey; and niece, Eileen Grevey Hillson and husband, David of Albuquerque. She is also survived by nieces and nephews in Sao Paulo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Apostolos and Chrisanthie Stamboli and sister, Alexandra Stamboli. Simone was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Trisagion will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. George Greek Orothodox Church, 308 High St. SE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jay Hertz, Ruy Fischer, Alexander Fischer, Costa Pavlakos, Nick Pavlakos, and Carl Hakenson. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Simone's memory to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE, 87102 or Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, c/o Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, P.O.
