Obituary for Woelk

Aletha Mae"Lea" Woelk, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died Friday, March 5, 1999. She is survived by her first cousins, Florence Hystory of Great Bend, KS, Charles Aldridge of Garfield, KS, Ruth Hentz of Dallas, TX, Dan Leonard of Colton, WA, Louise Pence of San Diego, CA, Agnes Marie Leonard of Sublet, KS and Gladys Bickleman of Washington, DC; second cousins, Clarene Goodheart of Stockton, KS and David Leonard of Colorado; and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Erisman and Irene Boudreau, all of Albuquerque. Ms. Woelk worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers for 38 years and was Chief of Administrative Services at the time of her retirement. She was a life member of the Beta Iota Chapter, ESA Sorority. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 11:30 a.m., at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia, NM, with Rev. Palmer Clark officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of NM, 216 Truman NE, 87108.
