GARCIA, BEATRICE B. Beatrice B. Garcia, 91, died at home with her family at her side. Anyone who knew her, knew she loved, lived and worked for her children, the home her father, Alejandro Garcia, built for her so long ago, and her yard. She worked until she couldn't work anymore. She loved to keep her yard immaculate. Someone once said her yard was so clean you could eat off of it. Beatrice was born in Albuquerque and was raised in the same neighborhood all her life. She is survived by her son, Joseph Garcia, and her daughter, Patricia Cruz. Beatrice's favorite scripture was Revelation 21:4, which helped her cope with the loss of her grandson, Aaron Cruz, 21 years ago: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Many thanks and love to family and friends who came to visit her and a special thanks to Frances Benavidez, who helped in her own special way. Also, we extend thanks to the following people: all the professionals of Alliance Hospice-especially Tammy T., nurse, Elizabeth, aid, and Renee, the on-call nurse who came the day she died. The family would also like to extend thanks to Danette and Ryan Ortega, who came from California to bring Monarae, "Monsie my love," to see her Auntie Bea, to Rudy and Adelaide Rangel, who came from Austin, TX on a weekend to see her, to Dr. Reba Eagles, who helped with acupuncture and her friendship for years, to Helen Sanchez, her dear friend, who loved to "discuss" with her; Frank and Frances Benavidez, Rosemary and Augustin Chavez, Shirley and Telly Chavez, Ruth McClelland, Herman and Velma Benavidez, and Petrita and Orlando Garcia. The family also thanks neighbors, Benny and Sonya Arenas, for being so nice to "Miss Garcia," Rubel Jaramillo, for helping my brother Joseph through this ordeal, Peter Padilla, for helping me keep my sanity all these years, and Pat Hartley, for being there when my son, Aaron, died and for being here now. She was in so much debilitating back pain for seven years. Now she can rest and be at peace - no more pain. Mom, we love you and will miss you dearly. At her request, services are private. Please visit our online guestbook for Beatrice at www.FrenchFunerals.com FRENCH - University 1111 University Blvd. NE 505-843-6333
