DOMINGUEZ -- GREGORITA "GOYA" Was the second born to the late Maclovia Jaramillo and Aparcio Lovato in San Luis, New Mexico on May 27, 1922. Loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, August 27, 2011, Goya was surrounded by prayer, music, love, family and friends. She joined her beloved husband Esequiel Dominguez one day before his birthday; her parents, Maclovia and Aparcio Lovato; sons, Donald Dominguez, Robert Maestas, George Dominguez; grandson, Ronnie Montoya; her in-laws, Adelaido and Beatriz Dominguez; brothers, Isa and wife Rebecca Lovato, Crespin and wife Fita Lovato, Telesfor and wife Bertha Lovato; sisters, Faviola Chavez, and Christie Garcia; brothers-in-law, Victor Dominguez, Gene Garcia and Ermie Martinez. Goya is survived by her loving children, Harold and Patricia Dominguez, Adela Dominguez, and Larry Dominguez, Gilbert and Rita Roybal, Lorraine and Gary Stubblefield, Mary and Larry Sisneros, Raymond and Adelita Garduno, Lorraine and Don Marthefka, and Doris Dominguez. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Tillie Martinez, Rufina and husband Arsenio Jaramillo, Victoriana and husband Armelino Lovato; sisters-in-law, Dolores Dominguez, Louisa and husband Joseph Maestas; brothers-in-law, Santiago Chavez, Adelaido and wife Dolores Dominguez; her godchildren, Charlene Anderson, Michael Valencia, Uvaldo Madrid, Martin Valencia and Celeste Roybal; her extended family, La Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno de San Luis Gonzaga and Our Lady of Sorrows Choir members. She was also a second mother to Salvador and Lorella Trejo, Andres and Theresa Garcia, Rafael and Blanca Angel, Leonard and Diane Prairie, and Ralph and Annette Chavez; caregiver, vecina and beloved friend, Mary Helen Yardman; caregiver and grandson, Miguel Sisneros; hairdresser, Bonnie Chavez. Mrs. "D" focused her energy on God, family and community all her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Our Lady of Sorrows Choir, La Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno de San Luis Gonzaga, and was faithful to San Luis Gonzaga and San Lorenzo. She served as mayordoma for the church and was committed to the spiritual obligations related to the morada in San Luis, New Mexico, and madrina for Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Rally in Albuquerque, NM. Her home served as a site for Las Posadas which included the traditional comanchitos. Together with her husband they were active with, the Knights of Columbus 7633; San Luis/Cabezon Mutual Water Association advocating for water and was vocal in land grant injustices; provided shelter and food to immigrants and her home was open to all; always voted and never gave up on her commitments. Despite health issues all her life, she was energetic, loved music, dancing, joking and being around people. Special thanks to the many relatives and friends who offered prayers, love and friendship for our beloved mother. BAROS -- LEONARD "LONNIE" Passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the age of 52. Lonnie was born and raised in Albuquerque NM. He served as a sergeant in the U.S Army. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Elsie Cortez and grandfather Juan De La O. He is survived by his wife Becky Baros; his children Victoria, Antoinette, and Anthony Baros; step-children, Leonie Rose, Ikie Rose, and fiance Michelle Johnson and Shawn Rose; his grandchildren Elena, Selena, Lilah, and Lilly; his mother Nestorita Baros; father Leonard and step-mother Linda Baros; mother-in-law, Leonie Sandoval; his brother Victor and wife Marcella Baros; sister Sonia Baros; brother-in-law Dickie and wife Julie Sandoval; niece Amanda Baros; nephews Timothy Dow, Dominic Dow, Jonathan Dow and Victor Baros Jr.; grandmother Annie De La O; several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. AIMES -- EDA MAE Passed away at home on August 20, 2011. She was born in Gallup, NM, on July 20, 1922, and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1937, attending High School at Albuquerque High. "Mae" was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil L. Aimes, February 3, 2008, a veteran of Bataan Death March; her mother, Margaret Weiser; and her brother, John (Jack) Hnidak, who did not survive the Bataan Death March. "Mae" is survived by two daughters, Nancy Moore, Darlene and her husband, Dr. Larry Walters of Albuquerque, NM; She has five grandchildren: Craig Walters (Roxanna) of Chandler, AZ, Tami Gonzales, Dr. Brad Walters (Kelly), Riff Beske (Mickey) of Albuquerque, NM, and Tiffany Quigley (Collin) of Denver, CO; and 11 great-grandchildren; She is also survived by her very special "adopted daughter", Kathie Anthony (Michael); and special friends, Frank and Christy Gonzales as well as Benny and Susan Adams. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and needle work. "Mae" worked for Fishback Dance Studio as a secretary and helped with costumes for many years. A Memorial Service for "Mae" will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at French-Lomas Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to send a special thank you to Presbyterian Hospice and Home Health for their great care and compassion, and thanks to Laurie Meyerer from Home Instead for all of her help. FLORES -- ALICE A resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1944, passed away at the age of 84. Alice is survived by her five sons, John (Rita), Jim, Rudy (Carolyn), Larry, Joseph (Adam); three daughters, Mary Alice (Vic), Betty Ann, Jeanette (Alfred); four grandsons, Johnny, Bobby, Vic, Joey; four granddaughters, Cissy, Frances, Mary Alice, Heather; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Phil (Gloria). She was blessed with a "green thumb", every plant she touched flourished. She loved flowers and always had a yard filled with something that blossomed. Alice was very social and she volunteered her help in many avenues; politics, her children's schools, church, the Foresters and the G. I. Forum. Alice was a charter member of Holy Ghost Parish, and she helped with several parish missions which are now full fledged churches. She was instrumental, as a senior citizen advocate, to bring programs, like Meals on Wheels and Senior Centers, into being. TRUJILLO -- CORDELIA "CORDIE" Age 89, a resident of Albuquerque but lived most of her life in Hernandez and went home to be with her Beloved on August 19, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. She fought the battle of cancer and has won the race. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pete Antonio Trujillo; her children, baby Luiz, Freddy, baby Paul and Martha Maestas; her parents, Adeliada and Federico Ortega; grandchildren, Roy Trujillo, "Angel" Martha's daughter, Stanley Trujillo, Jenny Trujillo, Gabriel, and Celina. Cordie raised her 14 children, Bobby Jr., Arnold Trujillo, and many other grandchildren. She was dedicated to her Lord and Savior, her husband, children and church family. She came to know her Lord and Savior in 1950. She touched many lives and many nations around the world. She fought on her knees interceding for everyone to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. She loved her pastors, JD Miera, Mike Naranjo, Mark Bane, Julian Johnson and Pastor Pounds. She loved to spend time with her brothers and sisters. She lived an example of our Lord and Savior and is now with her Beloved and those that have gone before her worshiping at HIS feet. You will be missed by many; we release you into your HOME where you belong. GENTZ -- JOHN ROBERT Born to life November 27, 1916, was born to eternal life Monday, August 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Agnes V. Gentz; daughter, Lena Stephens and husband, Larry; sons, John Christopher Gentz, and Steven T. Gentz and wife, Karen; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; step-children, Patrick Orlowski and wife, Carolyn, Ann Bieganski and husband, Kent; five step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; five siblings; and extended family members. John was preceded in death by his first wife of forty-two years, Juana Zurano; step-son, Tom Orlowski; and his siblings, James F. Gentz and Jean Clavette. Military service included tours of duty in Europe and North Africa as Master Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. John then completed his Masters+ degree and was an educator with Albuquerque Public Schools for thirty-four years. Previously he was a member of the Elks Lodge and VFW. He was a devoted Catholic and member of Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. His hobbies included photography, gardening, gourd art, crossword puzzles and golf. John also enjoyed traveling the world with Agnes. He was a Green Bay Packers "Cheesehead" and UNM Lobo fan. John, who was described as a true gentleman, was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2011, 9:00 a.m., at Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha NE in Albuquerque.
