CORDOVA -- Jaimie R. Cordova, age 42, of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2005. He was a devoted son, caring husband and loving father. He graduated from Cibola High School in 1980 and pursued a chemical and computer engineering degree at the University of New Mexico. He was a lifelong printer, having worked in his family's printing business and for Albuquerque Publishing Company. He married Stella Salazar on July 18, 1987, was blessed with three wonderful sons and blessed everyone he knew with his positive, humorous outlook on life. He loved spending time with his family and coaching his sons' soccer teams. He is survived by his wife; sons, Jeremy, Marcos and Isaiah; parents, Roberto and Jennie Cordova; sister, Valerie; brothers, Randy and Chuck; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Central Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2201 Estancia Dr NW. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery on Edith NE. Pallbearers will be Jeff Anderson, Andrew Salazar, Larry Medrano, Leonard Garcia, Mark Cordova and Erik Cordova. Honorary pallbearer will be L'ogenn Cordova. CORDOVA -- Elvira Trujillo Cordova passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at her home, after a year long battle with cancer. She was born on August 27, 1911 in Watrous, NM to Gabriel and Emilia Trujillo. She spent her childhood in Watrous and Dawson, NM. In 1928, she married Margarito Cordova in Dawson, where Margarito worked in the coal mines. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1944 and settled in the North Valley. Elvira was very involved in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Community, she was employed in the office and later volunteered for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Margarito; children, Antonio, Susan, Charlie and Gil; her parents; six brothers: and two sisters. Elvira is survived by her sons, Margarito (Richard) and wife, Stella, Manuel (Ted), Vivian and wife, Anna, and Michael; daughters, Celeste Medina and husband, Dave, Bernadette Cordova-Silva, Lorraine Cordova-Carriaga and husband, Adan; 27 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ignacita Casias; and numerous nephews and nieces. Mass will be celebrated by Father Luis Jaramillo on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. MONTOYA -- Manuel Benjamin Montoya died peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 surrounded by his family and friends. His kindness, generosity and humorous way will be greatly missed. His parents Armando and Emily Montoya of Espanola preceded him in death. JAYNES -- Arthur Jaynes 40, passed away unexpectedly Sunday June 19, 2005 on Father's Day. Arthur was proceeded in death by his father, Kiro, and sister, Lorraine. Arthur is survived by his children, each of whom he deeply loved, Antoinette, Kanella, Alexander, Nicholas, and Kiro. He is also survived by his mother, Rosie, and his wife, Tami, as well as numerous family members and friends. Arthur has left behind a legacy that shall inspire other to do their best, and make the most of themselves. Arthur overcame numerous obstacles in this life, and became a man that was loved, respected, admired and embraced by all that knew him. He was there for people whenever they needed him. He gave himself to others without thought or condition. The qualities Arthur possessed in life are so rare, we who had the joy of sharing his life are so blessed and shall carry him with us always. Arthur received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sociology from the University of New Mexico. He was a graduate fellow of the University of Chicago, and was currently pursuing his Doctor's degree in Sociology from The Ohio State University. Arthur was so very proud of all that he has accomplished in life both academically and personally, and we his family and friends share that pride with him. Please think of him often, find a thought or memory that brings you a smile and remember him as the stellar man that he was. May his beautiful, joyful and compassionate spirit be with us all. CORDOVA -- Mabel Cordova, age 101, and a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Sophia Maestas; her husband Jose Cordova; sons, Frank Cordova and Armando Cordova; daughter, Margarita Cordova; sister, Frances Atencio; brothers, Uvaldo Maestas and Felix Maestas. Mabel was born December 21, 1903 in Chili, NM, she married Jose Cordova on April 28, 1934. Mabel is survived by her sons, Uvaldo Cordova her caregiver for the last seven years, Lucas Cordova and wife Berlin of Tierra Azul, NM; daughters, Corine Lange and husband K.O. of Rio Rancho, NM, Gloria De Arment and husband Paul of Greenville, PA, Alicia Pedroncelli and husband Robert of Albuquerque NM; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Mariano Maestas and wife Estella of Chili, NM; sisters, Clora Archuleta and husband Juan of Chamita, NM; sisters, M. Felicia of Saint Michaels, AZ, Celia Barela and husband Rocky of Santa Fe, NM; other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Cremation has taken place. JARAMILLO -- Genaro "Henry" Jaramillo, 67, born on April 19, 1938, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 6, 2005. He has been reunited with his loving daughter, Toni, who preceded him on June 6, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Anita; father, Arculano; brothers, Ruben, Mike, Frank, Seledonio, Adelaido, and Ramon Jaramillo. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Priscilla; sons, Mark, and Martin and wife Billie Jo and children Angie, Anthony, and Lila; daughter, Melissa Fenstermacher and children Elias and Derick; son-in-law, Joe Benbow and Toni's children, April, Sonny and Sara; brother, Paul Jaramillo and wife Betty and family; sister, Lucy Candelaria and family; sister, Placida Lovato and family; brother-in-law, Louie Cordova and wife Dolores and family; sister-in-law, Rosemary Stapleton and husband Ernest and family. Genaro was born in Sedillo, NM. Early in his career he was a cosmetologist and then joined the Albuquerque Public Schools. He retired from APS with 25 years of service in 1992. Henry loved the mountains and returned to his second home in Sedillo as often as he could. He loved his grandchildren and work but his grandchildren and gardening are how he preferred to spend his time. His bright smile will be missed at the Flea market where he sold arts and crafts merchandise for forty plus years. A Rosary will be recited at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Sedillo, NM Thursday, June 9, 2005, 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Both will be recited by Deacon Larry Carmony. LOPEZ -- Andrea B. Lopez went home to be with the Lord on May 27, 2005 at the age of 66. She was born on June 28, 1938 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ismael Lopez; one son, Dennis Lucero; one daughter, Sandra Padilla and husband, Richard; one brother, Joe Lucero Jr. and wife, Kiyoko; two sisters, Margaret Chavez and husband, Jake and Carmen Holguin and husband, Paul; eight grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Andrea will be missed by all. Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Refreshments will be served following the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at the mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also in the mortuary chapel. NEVAREZ -- Charlie G. Nevarez, born September 5, 1938, left this life to meet his Creator, Father and Savior on May 27, 2005. Charlie is survived by his caring, loving wife, Gloria to whom he was married for 41 years; three children, Perla, Antonia and Carlos, his pride and joy. He is also survived by sisters and brothers, Sally Neel and husband, Ralph, Joe Nevarez and wife, Alicia, Danny Nevarez, Virginia Nevarez, Cruz Nevarez and wife, Ann, Debbie Cordova and husband, Frank; many nieces and nephews and an extended family who adored him. A resident of Albuquerque, Charlie was born in Placitas, NM outside of Hatch and was preceded in death by his father, Jose Nevarez, mother, Ydaleisa Nevarez and infant sister, Antonia. Charlie had a quick wit and looked for any opportunity to share a joke and a laugh. In addition to the love Charlie had for his family and friends, he loved music. At many gatherings he entertained all with his singing and dancing. Currently retired, Charlie spent 20 years as Plant Foreman at American Gypsum and 17 years at Elastimold/Amerace Corp. as Graveyard Supervisor. Charlie was loved deeply by his family and friends and will be missed more than you can imagine-all Glory to God! The family of Mr. Nevarez will be reflecting on his life with a Visitation, Rosary, Life Celebration Mass and Graveside Service. All Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 with a Viewing at 9:30 a.m. Rosary and Mass will follow at Holy Family Catholic Church, 550 Atrisco SW. A Graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park immediately following the Mass.
