SANCHEZ -- Beatrice N. Sanchez, 80, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on September 7, 2008. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her loving of husband of 62 years Mr. Juan Sanchez; daughters, Judy Garcia and husband, Dan, Stella Torres and husband, Armando; sisters, Dorothy Dennis and husband, Jerry and Mary Louise Austin; brothers Rudy Napoleone and wife, Nell, and Pat Napoleone and wife, Corine; daughter in law, Janna Sanchez; grandchildren, Charles Meyer and wife, Tammy, Daniel Garcia and companion Young, Natalie Garcia, Amanda Baca and husband, Mike, Angelica Torres, Renee Sanchez, Randal Sanchez, and Jonette Sanchez; great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Alyssa, Brianna and Alexandria. Mrs. Sanchez was preceded in death by her children, Connie Ware, John Sanchez and Randy Sanchez. Mrs. Sanchez was a member of the Catholic Church. CRESPIN -- Jose "Joe" Dionico Crespin, age 76, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 4, 2008, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Trujillo, NM and was a long time resident of Albuquerque. Joe was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, who served his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Bernalillo County after 30 years of service as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Joe loved spending time teaching his children and grandchildren, and caring for his wife. He will live in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by a son Mateo Vincent Crespin. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jennie Crespin; his children, Augustine Crespin, Joe Crespin Jr. and wife Cruzita Chavez, Kathy Crespin and fiance Orlando Chavez, Victoriana Crespin, Loretta Crespin and fiance Ysidro Najar, Lupe (Crespin) Montoya and husband Michael, Roger Crespin and wife Zenobia; seven grandchildren; Robby Chavez, Jennie Rietman and husband Daniel, Aaron Chavez and wife Lori, Frankie Chavez, Martin Chavez, Jolene Crespin, and Denise Amada Crespin; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Tony Crespin and wife Frances; sisters, Tina Martinez, and Rita Jaramillo and husband Leon; sister-in-laws, Josie (Crespin) Lefebre, and Connie Crespin; brother and sister-in-laws, Edward Chavez, Johnny Chavez and wife Barbara, Dennis Chavez and wife Mary, Lori Aguilar and husband Manuel, Barbara Griego and husband Amadeo, Margaret Lopez and husband Filo; and numerous extended family members and friends. GARCIA -- Ernest Garcia, age 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Ernest will be fondly remembered as a kind and giving man who had the "Best Chile in town". He enjoyed spending time in the mountains, camping, fishing, and especially being among his grandchildren and family for family gatherings. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. The love of his fellow Veterans led him to become the founder of the Contaminated Veterans of America. Ernest will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Felipe Vallejos; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Garcia; several brothers and sisters. Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Toni Garcia of the family home; his children, Patsy Parraz and her husband Eddie, Tom (Mike) Garcia; his precious grandchildren, Michelle Ruiz and husband Joe, Renee Vallejos- Jean Pierre and husband Maceo, Valerie Parraz, Chris and Paul Garcia, Casey Morris, and Marlon Flores; great-grandchildren, Tawni, Joseph, Adrianne, Cisco, Lorenzo, Antonio, Alysia, and Diego. MARQUEZ -- Veronica (Betty) Marquez, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since a small child, died Monday, September 1, 2008 after a sudden illness. She is survived by her six daughters Lydia Nargelovic and husband Rick, Trudy Baca, Thelma Lucas and husband Randy, Frieda Marquez, Annette Gonzales, Jeanette Ogletree and husband Randy, and 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is survived by her brother Richard Archuleta and wife Diana; and two sisters, Cathy Jaramillo and Lilly Pineda and husband Eloy; and many other relatives and friends. Veronica was preceded in death by her husband Fred Marquez; her daughter Sylvia Beckwith; a grandson Donnie Marquez; and three brothers Rudy, Robert and Oliver Archuleta. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, where a Memorial Mass will be held at 833 Arizona St SE, on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Virgil Furfaro officiating. Immediately following the Mass, there will be a Reception at her brother Richard's home at 11224 Jordan Ave NE. Cremation has taken place. TORRES -- Clara Jean "The Boss" Torres June 27, 1959 - August 30, 2008 Clara Torres lived in San Rafael, NM and graduated from Grants High School in 1977, and went on to obtain her Business Associates degree from TV-I in Albuquerque, NM. Clara is survived by her most precious son, Adrian Quintana, 28; and her very close in heart granddaughter, Cheyenne Quintana, seven years old; her parents, Ramon and Mabel Torres of San Rafael, NM; two brothers, Leandro Torres and wife, Theresa of Flagstaff AZ, Ramon Torres Jr. and wife, Traci currently stationed at Ft. Carson, CO: four sisters, Cecilia Cantu and husband, Roland of Albuquerque, Carol Valdez of San Rafael, NM, Ramona Torres of Albuquerque, Camille Vigil and husband, Larry of Albuquerque; nephews, Leandro Torres Jr. , Randy James Valdez, Joshua Torres-Jaramillo, Kyle Vigil, Joseph Cantu, and Johnathon Cantu . Nieces, Jennifer Torres, Annessa Valdez, Megan Cantu, Lauren Torres, Isabelle Torres, Gabriella Torres, Mia Katherine Vigil; and God daughters Erica Aragon and Amelia Torres. Clara is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she cherished. Clara's strength was in gracefully battling renal disease all while inspiring the lives of the people she loved and strangers she captured with her smile and strength. Clara recently retired from 17 years of faithful service to Kirtland Air Force Base. She started her career at Civilian Personnel and the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center and ended her career at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Clara loved her almighty God, her family, her many dear friends and the Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite thing to do was play "Beauty Shop" with her seven year old granddaughter, Cheyenne. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at DCI for the wonderful care and friendship that was given to Clara. Visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2008, at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Place, NW from 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., a Eulogy will be offered at 10:15 a.m., Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. by Deacon Frank Lucero. John is survived by his parents, Gerardo and Rosalia Castillo; sisters, Dorothy Madrid and husband, Robert and Catherine Castillo; nieces, Yvette Madrid, Jenee Castillo, and Breanne Castillo; nephew, Vincent White; best bro Paul White; best friend Terri Jinzo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Catalina Castillo; grandmother, Arcenia Gavaldon; and cousin David Jaramillo. John was very supportive of the Veterans. He was a volunteer at the D.A.V. Chapter 3, Post 401 and at the VA Hospital. He was on the Avenue of Flags at the VA hospital. He helped at the yearly Heads-Up for all Veterans and families. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. MARTINEZ -- George S. Martinez, 62, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008. He was a life-time resident of Los Ranchos, NM. George served honorably in the US Army and worked as an Iron worker and meat cutter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Lorenzita Martinez. He is survived by his children, George Martinez, Jr. and Natalia Jaramillo; former wife, Dorothy Martinez; and grandchildren, Monique and Logan Martinez; sisters, Priscilla Cordova and Terri Lujan; brother, Eddie Hopkins; and other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred, NW, on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by the celebration of Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
