MARTINEZ -- George S. Martinez, 62, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008. He was a life-time resident of Los Ranchos, NM. George served honorably in the US Army and worked as an Iron worker and meat cutter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Lorenzita Martinez. He is survived by his children, George Martinez, Jr. and Natalia Jaramillo; former wife, Dorothy Martinez; and grandchildren, Monique and Logan Martinez; sisters, Priscilla Cordova and Terri Lujan; brother, Eddie Hopkins; and other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred, NW, on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by the celebration of Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joseph Jo Jo Baca, Isacc Santiago Martinez, Steve Cordova Jr., Joe Nieto, Eddie Hopkins, and Donald Harrison.
