John Castillo, 50, #1 Raider fan, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 29, 2008. John is survived by his parents, Gerardo and Rosalia Castillo; sisters, Dorothy Madrid and husband, Robert and Catherine Castillo; nieces, Yvette Madrid, Jenee Castillo, and Breanne Castillo; nephew, Vincent White; best bro Paul White; best friend Terri Jinzo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Catalina Castillo; grandmother, Arcenia Gavaldon; and cousin David Jaramillo. John was very supportive of the Veterans. He was a volunteer at the D.A.V. Chapter 3, Post 401 and at the VA Hospital. He was on the Avenue of Flags at the VA hospital. He helped at the yearly Heads-Up for all Veterans and families. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with a Communion Service at 9:00 a.m., Deacon Harry Beare, presider. Graveside Blessing will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Deacon Frank Perez, presider. Pallbearers will be Paul White, Miguel Garcia, Vincent White, Robert Madrid, Uncle John, and Danny Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Flores, Uncle Tom, Uncle Junior, Uncle Carl and Uncle Gene. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
