Obituary for CRESPIN

Jose "Joe" Dionico Crespin, age 76, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 4, 2008, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Trujillo, NM and was a long time resident of Albuquerque. Joe was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, who served his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Bernalillo County after 30 years of service as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Joe loved spending time teaching his children and grandchildren, and caring for his wife. He will live in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by a son Mateo Vincent Crespin. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jennie Crespin; his children, Augustine Crespin, Joe Crespin Jr. and wife Cruzita Chavez, Kathy Crespin and fiance Orlando Chavez, Victoriana Crespin, Loretta Crespin and fiance Ysidro Najar, Lupe (Crespin) Montoya and husband Michael, Roger Crespin and wife Zenobia; seven grandchildren; Robby Chavez, Jennie Rietman and husband Daniel, Aaron Chavez and wife Lori, Frankie Chavez, Martin Chavez, Jolene Crespin, and Denise Amada Crespin; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Tony Crespin and wife Frances; sisters, Tina Martinez, and Rita Jaramillo and husband Leon; sister-in-laws, Josie (Crespin) Lefebre, and Connie Crespin; brother and sister-in-laws, Edward Chavez, Johnny Chavez and wife Barbara, Dennis Chavez and wife Mary, Lori Aguilar and husband Manuel, Barbara Griego and husband Amadeo, Margaret Lopez and husband Filo; and numerous extended family members and friends. Visitations will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be, Joe Crespin Jr., Robby Chavez, Frankie Chavez, Martin Chavez, Daniel Rietman, and Godson Max Chavez. Honorary Bearers will be, Michael Montoya, Orlando Chavez, Martin Crespin, Leon Jaramillo Jr., and Godsons, Jonathan Aguilar and Felix Chavez.
