Trujillo -- Mrs. Emilia Trujillo died Tuesday in Albuquerque at the age of 89. She is survived by six children, four daughters and two sons, Gregorita Trujillo of Bernalillo, NM, Bertha Montoya and husband, Johnny of Cuba, NM, Tonie Sanchez of Albuquerque, Frank Lovato and wife, Veronica of Denver, CO, Maurice Lovato of Albuquerque, and Emily Garcia of Albuquerque; three brothers, Telesfor Chavez and wife, Celia of Cuba, NM, Eliseo Moreno of Cuba, NM, and Filiberto Moreno of Albuquerque; two sisters, Lila Mora of California, and Patsy Martinez and husband, Gilbert of Washington; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-granchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Trujillo will be held on Friday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Archibeque, Vidal Trujillo, Robert Lovato, Joseph Lovato, Fred Trujillo, Andrew Aragon and Anthony Lovato. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cornelio Trujillo, Dennis Barber, and Aaron Trujillo. Visitation for Mrs. Trujillo will be held on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. Valles -- Mr. Ricardo L. Valles, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on January 5, 1999. Mr. Valles was the beloved father of two daughters, Rebecca Benavidez and Lydia Flores; three sons, Eddie Valles and wife, Margaret, Juan (Johnny) Valles and wife, Gloria and Ernest Valles; two sisters, Cora Giron and husband, Anselono and Viola Lopez; one brother, Nago Valles; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Valles was preceded in death by his wife, Raquel; son, Tommy; four grandchildren, Charlotte, Barbara, Richard and Andrew. Mr. Valles was a member of the Catholic Church, during World War II he worked with the government at Eaton Metal constructing patoon tanks for the Marines, after World War II he worked as a contractor doing construction. Visitation for Mr. Valles will be Thursday afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at St. Annes Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Deacon Tibo Chavez, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, 9:00 a.m., at St. Annes Church with final visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. Monsignor Joaquin Bazan, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Evangelico Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Benavidez, Johnny Benavidez, Andrew Aragon, Edward Valles, Jr., Ernie Valles and Scott Valles. Wittler -- Hans Otto Wittler, 64, beloved husband, father and Opa, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 4, 1999. Hans Otto was born on April 3, 1934 in Bielefeld, Germany. In January of 1958, Hans Otto moved to Albuquerque and in 1959 he was drafted into the United States Armed Forces. After serving two years of active duty in Panama, he continued his military service in the Reserves. In 1974, Hans Otto and his wife opened Hans Wittler's Automotive. He was a well-respected mechanic and Porsche expert, as well as a founding member of the Porsche Club of America. Hans Otto was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Christel; his sons, Roger Wittler, wife, Kristy and granddaughter, Riley Adell, Andreas Wittler and his wife, Heather; sister, Rosie Wittler of Lengerich, Germany; sister-in-law, Ursula and husband, Ervin, nephew, Rainer Zander, all of Bielefeld, Germany, as well as many close friends. Services will be held Friday, January 8, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Internment will follow at The National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Roger Wittler, Andreas Wittler, Terry Riordan, Bob Gilbert, Bob Stetz and Don Mulder. Burns -- Robert Lee Burns, Jr., 39, a resident of Albuquerque for 26 years, died Saturday, January 2, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Connie of the family home; daughters, Rebecca Burns and Jennifer Burns of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Delilah E.R. Chavez of Albuquerque; mother, Mary L. Burns of Los Lunas, NM; maternal grandmother, Lucinda M. Garcia of Truth or Consequences, NM; paternal grandmother, Osha V. Burns of Deming, NM; sisters, Shirley M. Stevenson of Deming, NM and Dorothy T. Toers-Bijns of Los Lunas, NM; brothers, William J. Burns of Tucumcari, NM and Morris W. Burns and David R. Burns of Albuquerque. Robert was employed by Gardner-Zemke Construction. Services will be held Friday, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor T.C. Carter -- Robert E. Carter, M.D., born July 14, 1923, Minneapolis, MN, died December 31, 1998, Albuquerque. He was a graduate of the Los Alamos Ranch School, received his MD degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, returned to Los Alamos to conduct medical research for the Manhatten Project, did his residency at the University of Chicago in Pediatrics and Hematology. He was the recipient of numerous medical awards and honors, including the Markie Foundation Scholarship. He was Associate Dean at the University of Iowa Medical School; Dean and Director of the University of Mississippi Medical School; and founding Dean of the University of Minnesota-Duluth Medical School. He is survived by his wife, Lota (Chris) Ahrens Carter; brother, Theodore F. Carter; sons, Jonathan and wife, Marisa and David and wife, Anna; and daughter, Ann M.; grandchildren, Christopher, Rosemary and Allison. He is remembered as a distinguished pediatrician, medical educator, artist, philosopher, hiker and loving father and grandfather. Private services. Donations in his memory may be made to the Robert E. Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund, University of Minnesota-Duluth Medical School or to the New Mexico Symphony.

Clair -- Eugenia G. Clair, 82, a resident of Albuquerque from 1984-1998, died on Friday, January 1, 1999. She is survived by her son, William A. Garnand and wife, Anita of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Alexandria Garnand, Donna Carstens and husband, Calvin, David Garnand, Dorothy Garnand, Mary Garnand, Rachel Garnand, and Irene Garnand; great-grandchildren, Nicole Pinkney, Cecilia Carstens, Raquel Garnand, Izaac Garnand, and Angelique Garnand, all of Albuquerque; and son, John J. Garnand of Longmont, CO. Mrs. Clair was a member of Our Lady of The Annunciation Catholic Church, where she was active with the Golden Agers. Rosary will be recited Friday, January 8, 1999, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with the Marianites reciting. Coley -- Harold D. Coley, 63, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away January 4, 1999 after a lengthy illness. Born to Earnest and Irene Coley in Muskogee, Oklahoma and raised in Carlsbad, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son. He is survived by his wife, Judy; one son, Rob Coley and two grandsons, Brian and Daniel of Carlsbad; one daughter, Robin Ruyle and grandson, Jeremy of Austin, TX; step-daughter, GayLynn Peterson of Los Lunas; an aunt of Oklahoma; an uncle from New Mexico; and many cousins. He was a member of the Texas and California Iron Workers Union for 30 years. He had played on the Roadrunner Pool League of Los Lunas for two years and the Hot Shots of Albuquerque for three years. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Corner -- June F. Corner died December 31, 1998. Born June 16, 1917 and raised in New York City, she married Cecil Corner in 1938. A devoted wife and mother, she followed Cecil in his Civil Service career first to Sacramento, California in 1949, then to Kodiak, Alaska; Little Rock, Arkansas; Buffalo, New York; and finally to Albuquerque, where she and her husband have resided since 1956. It was at her Albuquerque home that June cultivated her passion for growing roses. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Ann Gray, and is survived by her husband; her older sister, Gertrude Schweibish of East Islip, New York; and her daughter, Dorothy Corner Amsden of Los Alamos. Cremation has taken place. No memorial service is planned.

Crawley -- Thomas Victor Crawley, Jr., 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, January 4, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Florence of the family home; sons, Thomas Victor Crawley, III and wife, Gloria of Albuquerque, Joseph Michael Crawley of Lompac, CA and Gerald Matthew Crawley and wife, Leslie of Flagstaff, AZ; grandson, Thomas Victor Crawley, IV and wife, Traci of Ohio, and Daniel Crawley of Lompoc, CA; granddaughters, Sharon and Dianne Crawley of Lompoc, CA; great-grandson, Michael Gonzales of Lompoc, CA; and sisters, Frances Beck of San Antonio, TX and Ann Riddle of Houston, TX. Thomas was born in Texas. Mr. Crawley was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Navy. He then worked for Sandia National Labs for 30 years. A private family service will be held at a later date.
