MCKINNEY -- Thomas William "Bill" McKinney died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the age of 87 in his home in Albuquerque NM, with family and friends present. He was born December 4, 1922 in Agua Fria, NM. The youngest of three, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bud" McKinney; and sister, Lillian "Sis" Kraus. He is survived by his cherished wife of 58 years, Mary Nell McKinney; sons, Jeff McKinney and his wife Cathy; Thomas W. McKinney and his wife Gail; Mark McKinney; Patrick McKinney and his wife Valerie; grandchildren Jessica McKinney; Travis McKinney; Elizabeth Nunez and her husband Francisco; TJ McKinney; Alexandra McKinney; Luke McKinney; and great-grandchild, Sebastian Nunez. Bill managed the historic Kimo Theater in downtown for several years and was a veteran of the US Army. He spent nine years with the NM Department of Game & Fish as a reserve conservation officer as well as having a long and distinguished career at Sandia National Laboratories, retiring in 1985. Bill especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and writing. He was blessed with countless friends, some who've preceded him in death as well as some who now are left here, missing him. No service is planned; there will be a small, private gathering where the family will celebrate Bill's life. OZMENT -- Dennis Alan Ozment, 61, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Frances; his father, W. E. Ozment, Jr., of Tyler, TX; daughters, Kelly Gold and husband, Art, Katherine Stearns and husband Jason; granddaughters, Ryan and Zoe Stearns; brother Donald Ozment and wife Gale of Broken Arrow, OK; sister, Janice Jones and husband Mike of McKinney, TX; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends, including his loving dog, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Ozment. Dennis had a 34 year long career with the Internal Revenue Service. Since his retirement in 2006, he has enjoyed his grandchildren, golf, gardening, and volunteering with Tax Help of New Mexico. A memorial service will be held in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at French~Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. ARGEANAS -- Theodore "Ted" Argeanas, born December 22, 1952 in Albuquerque, N.M. passed away on October 1, 2009 following an illness. Ted attended schools in Albuquerque and worked in the family's auto parts store for over 25 years. Ted is survived by his son, Michael Argeanas, and step-children, Rose and Joe Chapa and their mother Patricia Argeanas. Also surviving are his parents, Mike and Anna Argeanas, brother Alex and wife Betsy of Albuquerque, and sister, Sia Raymondi and husband Rick of Boise, Idaho. Niece Anne Marie Raymondi, nephews, Rick and Mike Raymondi and Cooper Argeanas. Ted will be missed by special friends, Boyd McKinney of Green River, Wyoming, and Steve Vatoseow of Albuquerque. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his generosity and humor. Ted enjoyed traveling and fishing New Mexico lakes. Ted was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. A Trisagion will be held Monday, October 5, 2009, at French, Lomas Chapel at 7 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High Street S.E. 87102, at 11:00 a.m., with Father Paul Patitsas officiating. Pallbearers will be Pete Rallis, Tom Argeanas, Joe Chapa, Boyd McKinney, Steve Vatoseow and Rick Raymondi. REDVELSKI -- Betty Ann Redvelski (Taylor) born January 17, 1944 in Mckinney, TX. to Laura Etta Elizabeth Cooper and Theodore Cooper, then adopted by Loren O. Taylor in 1950, died September 26, 2009. Betty was a graduate of Valley HS in 1962, then attended UNM. She married Eugene Redvelski in November 1962. She is survived by her children Ken, John and Gina (Long); her siblings Tracy (Amstutz), Loren L. and Dirk; her 11 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Riverside Church of Christ, 3100 La Orilla Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Please come and celebrate Betty's life with us.

WALTERS -- Beatrice Lucille Walters, 89, was born March 18, 1920 in Prosper, Texas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She went to be with the Lord, September 19, 2009, in Yakima, Wa. As a child, she moved to New Mexico with her family; graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1938. She worked for Fred Harvey as a "Harvey Girl" in Albuquerque; then during WW II as a "Rosie the Riveter" in Dallas. She married John Walters November 11, 1943, in Dallas, Texas; they moved to New Mexico shortly thereafter. In 1970, she and her husband moved to Reserve, New Mexico, where she lived until December 2001, when she came to Washington, to live with her daughter, Eva and husband Charles Bonner. She loved life and having fun. She often was heard humming, whistling and singing hymns. Her favorite hymn was "Amazing Grace." Over the years, Beatrice was a Girl Scout leader; stamp and post card collector and a rock hound. As an avid reader, she has read the dictionary completely through as well as encyclopedias. She loved crosswords and anagrams, working them for hours. She once anagrammed a friends name and found over 300 words. Bea loved camping, hunting and traveling. Living in Texas and New Mexico, Bea loved to attend rodeos, festivals, fairs etc. and also looked forward to Christmas, birthdays and party's, having lot of fun. Beatrice received the Lord as her Savior in 1932 and was baptized in 1953, at the Riverside Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Eva (Walters) Bonner, and Rev. Charles Bonner of Yakima, Wa. and son John Walters of Elephant Butte, New Mexico. One brother, J.B. Norris of McKinney, Texas; Five sisters; Ruby Freeman of Sacramento, Ca.; Dorothy Henderson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Nellie Baker , Alamogordo, New Mexico; Jeannie Roberts, Keller, Texas; Joann Howard, of McKinney, Texas. Four grandchildren; Malissa (Bonner) Chapin of Oshkosh, Wi.; Rebekah (Bonner) Kotlar of San Leandro, Ca.; Rachel Bonner of Yakima, Wa. and John Bonner of Milwaukee, Wi. Two great-grandchildren; P.J. Chapin, Oshkosh, Wi; and Hailey Bonner of Yakima, Wa. and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Thomas Walters; a sister Berniece; and her parents, A.B. Norris and Ella (Justice) Norris. Viewing will be Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m. at Langevin - Mussetter Funeral Home, 1010 W. Yakima, Ave, Yakima, Wa. GREEN -- Ronald Dale Green, 52, entered into the arms of Our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Beloved husband, son, and brother, he was a shining light placed on this earth for too little time. Ron passed quietly, in his sleep, at home in McKinney, Texas. He is survived by wife Cindy Green; and therapy dog Cheyenne of Wichita, Kansas; his parents Dale and Alma Green of Socorro, New Mexico; brother James Green, wife Yolanda; and nephew Wesley, of Santa Fe, NM; and sister Janet Green and husband Eddie Binder of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by in-laws Donald and Shirley Gasper of Anthony, KS; sister in-law Gayla Fox, husband Mike, and sons Westin and Jarret of Harper, KS; He also leaves numerous aunts, cousins, relatives and friends in Kansas, New Mexico and Texas. Born November 4, 1956 in El Paso, TX, Ron grew up in Socorro, NM. A three-sport letterman at Socorro High, he was an outstanding basketball player and proud graduate in 1974. At New Mexico State University, Ron played basketball for one year under legendary coach Lou Henson and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 1978. He was also a member of the national business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. Ron began his career working with the Federal Land Bank in Las Cruces N.M., and transferred to Montrose, Colorado and then to Wichita, KS. He excelled in working with aviation finance, first working in Wichita at Raytheon then moving to Dallas, Texas in 2007 to work for CIT Aerospace as Vice President of Portfolio Management. While in Wichita Ron met and married the love of his life, Cindy. They were wed on July 14, 1990. They both considered Wichita their home, even after moving to McKinney, TX. Ron, an accomplished golfer, returned to New Mexico Tech Golf Course to play in the Conrad Hilton Open and the Elfego Baca Shoot, which he won once. Ron played numerous tournaments in Wichita and had his "hole in one" at Tallgrass Country Club. His love of basketball led him to be an avid Wichita State University basketball supporter. Funeral arrangements are being made through Downing-Lahey Funeral Home, 6555 East Central, Wichita, KS. A funeral service for Ron will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. 1st Street, Wichita KS. Visitation will held Tuesday, August 18, 2009, 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Downing - Lahey Funeral Home, 6555 East Central, Wichita, KS. A New Mexico memorial will be held in Socorro on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 304 McCutcheon Ave. (next to the Socorro Public Library). Childhood friend, The Reverend Jack Baca will conduct the Socorro service with Rev. Laura Kuster. RHODES -- Gene Rhys Rhodes, 52, of Albuquerque, NM and Las Cruces, NM died on August 1, 2009. Gene was born in Albuquerque, NM on August 10, 1956. He graduated from Highland High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of New Mexico. Gene was well known for his brilliant mechanical mind and his gift for being able to fix almost anything. He had a particular passion for Alfa Romeo automobiles. He owned many Alfas during his life and spent countless hours restoring them to the point that he was an expert in all aspects of this brand of automobile. Gene also enjoyed camping and had an especially fond appreciation of the Washington and Oregon coast areas of the U.S. Gene loved animals, particularly dogs and had recently adopted a Pomeranian Chihuahua named Chica who became his constant companion. Gene owned his own printing service and supply business for many years in Albuquerque. Over the past few years Gene lived in Las Cruces and worked with his brother at a billiards store. Gene is survived by his mother, Margaret; brother, Kerry; sister, Cheri; and countless other family and friends. He will be extraordinarily missed. There will be a gathering of friends on Friday, August 7, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. in Sister Cities Park located at the intersection of Harper and McKinney, NE, in Albuquerque.
