 ADKINS, BILLY R. 1937-2013 Billy R. Adkins, age 75, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Belen and Los Lunas passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013. He was born in Putnam, Oklahoma on August 25, 1937. Bill was an electrician who owned B & R Electric; and he loved playing baseball, guitar, camping, fishing, hunting, sports, and being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlo Adkins and Vera Henry; his twin daughters, Debra Jean and Donna Kay; and his longtime partner, Lorraine Chavez. Bill is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Dorcas and Keri Adkins and partner, Sam Wills; son, Keith Adkins and wife, Renee; brother, Tom Adkins and wife, Lois; cousin, Joe King and wife, Barbara; granddaughters, Andrea Antoine and partner, Luke Sloan, Justine Cassiday and husband, Matthew, Alexandra Gallegos, Ashley Adkins, Brittany Adkins, Marissa Lovato and husband, Anthony, Celeste Gallegos, Cassandra Adkins, and Brianna DeGraffenreid; grandson, Tommy Just and partner, Desirea Romero; great-granddaughters, Audrianna, Jordan, Ava, Lilliana, Julliana, Ariel, Trinity and Gabriella; great-grandsons, Landon, Vince, Landyn, and Camden; nephew, Jeff Adkins and wife, Mari, great-nephews, Tyler and Sean; niece, Diane Adkins and husband, Greg; great-nieces, Leah and Lauren; partner, Nikki Kassa; family, Trish Tomer and husband, Cal, Chad Hamilton and wife, Dawn, Leisha Hamilton, Alex Tomer and wife, Bertha, Angela Tomer, Josh Marquez, Marcus Tomer, Aaron, Katie, Taylor, Cameron, Isacc, and Elliana; friends, Frank Salcido and wife, Christine and Chantelle. He is also survived by many other family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. A Memorial Service will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 20, at 12:00 p.m. Refreshments will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Elk's Lodge on Highway 314.
