Alan Daughetee, an employee of Dell Computer, passed away December 30 in a car accident just outside of Lago Vista, TX. He was born on October 16, 1955 to Ruth and Evert Daughetee in Caracas, Venezuela. Alan's life was marked by the impact he had on the people who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His generous spirit, ability to speak the truth in love, and remarkable sense of humor were just a few of the precious character traits those who knew him valued in him. He was kind, loving, and respectful to all he encountered without bias. He is survived by his parents; his sister Vivian Daughetee, her two sons Brian Chism, Kendall Chism and daughter Charity Chism and her three children Isaac, Trason and Aeris; his sister Dania Heffington, her husband Mike and their children N'Kisha and Anndrea; a number of cousins; an aunt, Marjorie Reed & her family, and an uncle, Calvin Daughetee and his family. A Memorial Service will be held at Austin-Peel & Son Funeral home on Wednesday, January 6th at 11:00 a.m. Austin-Peel & Son is located at the SW corner of the intersection of I-35 and 183, 607 E. Anderson Lane. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to either The Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, TX or your local Salvation Army.
