ANDERSON -- James Melvin Anthony Anderson, of Albuquerque, New Mexico found peace June 27, 2009 at the age of 55. Loving husband of Nancy Anderson (nee Kopaczewski). Devoted father of Heather Duran and son-in-law Bernie. Adoring grandfather of Natalia, Gabriel and Lilliana. Further survived by his dear sister Karen and brother-in-law Jerry. Jim will be truly missed by his family and friends. Services for Jim will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Arrangements are still pending.

BEASLEY -- Vivian Iola Beasley passed away June 6, 2009 in Beaverton, Oregon at age 98. She was born April 30, 1911 in Richmond, Indiana to Sylvester and Lura Maud Lindsey. Vivian worked as a welder in the shipyards in Everett, Washington during WW II. After the war, she moved to Albuquerque and was a long time resident of New Mexico before moving to Oregon. During the 1950's, she worked for the labs in Los Alamos as a group secretary. After moving to Albuquerque in 1962, she worked for the US Forest Service, retiring in 1973. She and her late husband, Earl, retired to Roseburg, Oregon in 1976, where they built a home along the North Umpqua River. In 1987, they returned to New Mexico, living in Belen, and then in Los Lunas. Wherever she lived, Vivian was a talented church pianist, including Valley Christian, and Belen Christian churches. She also started two 4-H clubs in the South Valley of Albuquerque, the Trailblazers and Valle Grande 4-H clubs. Burial was at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon where her husband is also buried. Vivian is survived by her daughter, Gail, of Beaverton, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service is planned for July 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Hills United Church of Christ, 11695 SW Park Way in Portland, Oregon, with the Rev. Mary Sue Evers officiating. Remembrances to Belen Christian Church, Belen, New Mexico; or Cedar Hills United Church of Christ in Portland.

BUJOL -- George W. Bujol, Col USAF (Ret.), 88, navigated his way to Heaven on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. He was born February 28, 1921 in Estherwood, LA. Col Bujol was known by many of his friends and associates as the "Last Bombardier", retiring August 1, 1970 after more than 31 years of service. His career truly bridged the transportation gap; upon entry into the service in April 1939, he was assigned a $165.00 horse as his mode of transport, and his last combat crew assignment was as a radar-navigator on a $14,000,000.00 B-52 bomber. He devoted his next 27 years serving the poor of Albuquerque through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane; his children Frances Felts and husband Joe, Barbara Zimmerman and husband Fred, Marie Bujol, George W. Bujol, Jr. and Renee Bujol; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 7, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona, SE. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. FRANTZ -- Samuel C. Frantz, age 91, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Sam was born in Clinton, IN. He honorably served his country in the Army-Air Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theatre of Command. Sam moved to Albuquerque in 1957 where he met and married Kay in 1961. He enjoyed retirement, traveling with his wife, and became a grandfather at the age of 77. Sam will always be remembered as a "good and faithful servant of the Lord". He is survived by his wife, Kay; sons, Sam Jr. and wife Laura, Robert and wife Marlene; daughter, Crystal; grandchildren, Chad, Natalie, Kiersten, Jacob, and Matthew; brother, Carl and wife Mary Jane. A reception celebrating Sam's life will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at French Mortuary Westside Location. GARCIA -- Celestina Garcia passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Albuquerque at the age of 87. She was born on February 2, 1922 in Tijeras, NM and a lifelong resident of the area, living in the village of Bartolo Baca. She is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Maria Gutierrez; and brother, Sosten Gutierrez. She is now at peace will all of her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband, Jesus Garcia; children, Ernest M. Garcia and wife, Cece of San Antonio, Jesus I. Garcia and wife, Elena, and Debra Mauldin and husband, Kevin; her favorite niece, Rosemary Garcia and husband, Joe; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary for Mrs. Garcia will be recited on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 9:30 a.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. MARSH -- Joan Ann Marsh, 68, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, George Marsh; children, Michael Marsh and wife, Laura, Michelle Chavez and husband, Don, Gregory Marsh, Jeffrey Marsh and wife, Sonja, Ryan Marsh and wife, Jenni, and Kendall Elliott and husband, Travis; grandchildren, Jessica, Aiden, Amber, Trinity, Gabriel, Christopher and wife, Sammi Jo, Camdyn, Theryn, Jonas, Davis, Emma, Lucas, Garrett, Gavin, and Kaitlyn; great grandchild, Sydni; and numerous other relatives and friends. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Mary Alice Hoffmann. She was born on June 11, 1941 in St. Louis, MO and graduated from high school in New Athens, IL. Joan was a supportive wife to her husband during his 24 year career in the United States Air Force. She worked for many years as Activities Director at La Vida Llena Retirement Community. Joan had a passion for antiques and loved to do needlework. She was a member of John XXIII Catholic Community. Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. MONTANO -- Wilda Marie Montano, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 three days shy of her 78th birthday. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Joe Montano; children, Yvonne Eder of San Leandro, CA, Barbara Keiser and husband, Warren "Butch", Charles Skinner and Len, Barbara Ann Pierce and husband, Rob Winters, Charles Montano and wife, Susan, Shirley Montano, and Marjorie Montano all of Albuquerque, Donna Montano of Portland, OR and Danny Montano of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Rhonda Harmon, Michelle Cordova, Jason Eder, and Angela Boman; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Seidel. Wilda was a loving mother and grandmother who took great joy in her family and her numerous activities such as volunteering, Red-Hatting and crafting. She will be greatly missed by all. MOON -- William C. Moon, CSM, US Army, (Ret.), 81, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009. He is survived by his spouse, Patricia; children, SSG William F. Moon, US Army, (Ret.) and wife, Sherry, Linda Fraschilla and husband, John and Maria Lopez; grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher and Jennifer Lopez, Aaron Moon, Cameron Leonard, Lillianna and Madison Fraschilla; and great-grandson Fabian. He is also survived by his extended family Jean Totzke children, Mike Totzke, Peggy Totzke and Becci Totzke and their children, Michael Totzke, Emma Scott, John and Laura Perea. He is also survived by his sister, Nora Yax and husband, Jud of Michigan as well as many friends. Mr. Moon served his country in the US Army during WWII, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam earning the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Later he worked for and retired from the Bernalillo County Sheriffs Department. William loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. RIVERA -- Carmel C. Rivera, 86, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Carmel was born in Tererro, New Mexico to Encarnacion and Ignacita (Cortez) Rivera. Carmel served her country proudly in the Women's Army Air Corps, from 1941-1942. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Carmel was a very strong and independent woman, her greatest wish was not to out live her children and that wish was fulfilled. Carmel was preceded in death by her parents; brother Albert Rivera Sr.; and granddaughter Shannen Lynn Blakeney. She is survived by her loving children Patsy Blakeney and husband Gene, Boyd Simpson, Shirley Kelley and husband Joe, Rick Simpson, Grandison "Gucci" Flanery Jr., Rhea Chavez and husband Ronnie, Lela Heineken and husband Russell, Lila Linson, and David Flanery and wife Elizabeth, 22 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Also surviving brother John C. Rivera and wife LeNeil and sister Ramona Lawson and husband Boyd. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Carlisle Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. also in the Chapel. SANCHEZ -- Alexander Sanchez "Alex" was born September 10, 1944 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009. Alex honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps in VietNam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleofas and Tillie Sanchez; brothers, Wilfred Sanchez and Uvaldo Sanchez who were killed in action during the VietNam war. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lynette Moody. Alex is survived by his niece, Lynette Srazzini; aunt, Dora Otero; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved and will miss him. SIEGLING -- Michael R. Siegling, 61, went home to be with The Lord on June 23, 2009. He served two tours in Viet Nam with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, after which he spent many years in broadcasting. He was a gifted musician and a prolific songwriter. He is survived by his daughter Kimberlee Lockhart; his grandson Henry; his twin brother James D. Siegling, his sister Peggy Dillingham; three nephews, and two nieces. An Interment Ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
