Celestina Garcia passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Albuquerque at the age of 87. She was born on February 2, 1922 in Tijeras, NM and a lifelong resident of the area, living in the village of Bartolo Baca. She is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Maria Gutierrez; and brother, Sosten Gutierrez. She is now at peace will all of her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband, Jesus Garcia; children, Ernest M. Garcia and wife, Cece of San Antonio, Jesus I. Garcia and wife, Elena, and Debra Mauldin and husband, Kevin; her favorite niece, Rosemary Garcia and husband, Joe; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary for Mrs. Garcia will be recited on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 9:30 a.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Joe Chavez, Antonio Gutierrez, Martin Garcia, Kevin J.
