TRAIN-CRANMORE -- Paula Jean Train-Cranmore, born November 24, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii, beloved daughter, sister and mother, passed away on Sunday May 25, 2008 following a long illness. Paula was preceeded in death by her father, Walter T. Train. She is survived by her mother, Daisy M. Train; her sons, Jeffrey Cranmore and wife, Monique, John Cranmore and Joshua Cannon. Grandchildren, Dominic, Alexis and Angelique. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Train and husband, Joseph Bernardini of Canton, Mass.; nephew, Alexander and niece, Ashley; and sister, Sandra Train of Albuquerque, NM and nephew, Kristopher Kemper; brother, John Train and wife, Angela of Loveland, Co., nephew Stephen, nieces, Crystal, Angela and Mercedes. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at New Life Church, 1700 Atrisco NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105, 899-2356. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association.

VANDI -- Luke Vandi, 19, born 4/19/89, a resident of Los Lunas passed away Friday 5/23/08. Luke was the cherished son of Mark and Cyndi Vandi, and the beloved Grandson of Queento "Tex" and Donna Vandi, and Tom Parr and Kathryn Parr, his recently deceased Grandmother. Services for Luke are Friday at 11:00AM at the Calvary Chapel in Belen, NM. Viewing will start at 9:00AM. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church. WALSH -- Raymond James (Ray) Walsh, 85, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008, at his home surrounded by friends and family from complications related to Alzheimer's. Ray Walsh was born September 1, 1922 in Chicago, IL, the son of Raymond and Madeline Walsh. He graduated from Lane Tech College Prep High School in 1940. Ray joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1941 immediately after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He served honorably in the Marines, and was among the U.S. First Marine Division that landed at Guadalcanal in August 1942. Ray achieved the rank of Sergeant, and was responsible for aircraft maintenance at Henderson Field, Guadalcanal and was a member of the Guadalcanal Campaign Survivor's Association. While serving in the Marines, Ray enjoyed entertaining the troops with his impersonation skills which included a variety of dialects. While on military leave, Ray married Lillian Whiteford on July 1, 1944 in Chicago, IL. After the war, Ray returned to Chicago where he and Lill started their family, raising eight children. Ray spent the majority of his career in appliance sales, both retail and wholesale, working in Chicago, Shreveport, Cincinnati, and Albuquerque, where the family finally relocated in 1968. Ray was known as the consummate salesman, always with a smile and a joke or a story. He and Lill were avid walkers at the Coronado Mall as members of Sole Mates, until his health declined. Survivors include his wife of almost 64 years Lillian, and children Sharon Walsh of Albuquerque, Mary Marr and husband, Joe of Blackhawk, CO, Eileen Moore and husband, Barnes of Freehold, NJ, Liz Harper of Albuquerque, Tom Walsh and wife, Valerie of Overland Park, KS, Pat Walsh and wife, Tina of Bartlesville, OK and Tim Walsh of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother, Ken Walsh and his family of Chicago, IL. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Madeline, a sister, Patricia Walsh and his son, James Walsh. A Memorial service to honor him will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 30th at Christ Community Fellowship Church, 5908 Anaheim, NE, Albuquerque, with a reception to follow. A funeral mass in celebration of his life will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31st at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. WEINER -- Irving M. Weiner, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1995, died Thursday, May 29, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Leatrice Weiner; one daughter, Laurie Lampert and husband, Michael, of Brooklyn, NY; one step-daughter, Jill Wexler and husband, Richard of Albuquerque, NM; three step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; one brother, Beryl H. Weiner and wife, Eleanor of Atlanta, Georgia; nephew, Louis Feinberg and wife, Merle of Orlando, FL; and other niece, nephews, cousins, and friends. Irving was born on June 9, 1922 in Camilla, Georgia to Louis and Fannie Berman Weiner and graduated from Camilla Consolidated High School in 1939. He entered the United States Infantry in 1942 and served honorably, being wounded in the Battle of the Bulge and receiving the Purple Heart. Irving then went on to graduate with a BS in Textile Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1947. After graduation he practiced his profession with the Frank Ix and company until his retirement in 1995. At that time he moved to Albuquerque and married Leatrice Levene Alexander. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. Irving was a member of Phi Epsilon Pi Social Fraternity and Phi Psi Professional Fraternity. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. ALEXANDER -- Bill Alexander, beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with his Lord Jesus on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 after a bicycle accident. He was an Electronics Technician before retiring from Honeywell in 2004. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Jennifer Garcia, son Jon Alexander, son-in-law Bernie Garcia and grandchildren Mayah, Ariel, Ceana and Davin Garcia. He is also survived by his brothers David Alexander and wife Rose Ann and Jerry Alexander and wife Annette; Nieces and nephews Bobby, Susan, Jeff, Melissa, Sean, Melody, Missy, Russell, Rex, Brenda and Marla; sisters-in-laws Esther Alexander and Carol Winter; and mother-in-law Beulah Winter. He was preceded in death by his mother Lois V. Gold, father W. O. Alexander, brother Bobby Alexander, sister Pat Hamilton and father-in-law Raymond Winter. ARMIJO -- Mary A. Armijo, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, former resident of Springer, NM went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughters, Lillian Trujillo, Virginia Garcia; and husband, Gilbert, Julia Cordova and husband, Emilio, Berta Chavez and husband, Leroy and Cecilia Metz and husband, Jim; stepdaughter, Esther DeHerrera; grandchildren, Johnny, Teddy, Bobby, Theresa, Allen, Donnie, Ralph, Isaac, Maria, Nydia, Monte, Vanessa, Armando, Dina, Angelica, Eric, and Nicolas; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Mary Faye Archuleta; son in law, Steve Anderson; brother, Louis Fernandez and wife, Emily; sister, Theresa Abeyta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Isaac Armijo; daughter, Fabiola Anderson; stepchildren, Esco Tafoya, Ted Armijo, Cleo Sanchez, Sam Armijo, Elsie Sanchez and Joe Armijo; grandson, Billy Trujillo; brothers, Ignacio Fernandez and Joe Fernandez; sisters, Berlinda Romero, Seferina Archuleta and Patsy Gallegos. Mary was very devoted to her faith, where she belonged to St. Joseph's Church in Springer. She was an active member of the Altar Society, Legion of Mary and Eucharistic Ministry. She was proud to have been able to participate in a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia in 1988. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, June 1, 2008, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church 4020 Lomas NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. BLEA -- Sylvia Ann Blea, age 48, of Albuquerque, went to heaven to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 29, 2008. Sylvia was born in Amarillo, TX to Joe and Domy Blea, and was raised in Tucumcari. She was a vibrant and active person with a great sense of humor. Sylvia never met a stranger. People were drawn to her magnetic personality. She loved parties and all social events where there was Coke and Ice Cream. She was well known through Adelante and Alta Mira Family Services and will be missed by all who knew her. Sylvia is survived by father, Joe L. Blea of Tucumcari; sister, Katrina "Tina" Blea of Albuquerque; brother, Joseph "The Pest" Blea and wife Veronica of Tucumcari and their children, Steven and Kevin Blea. Sylvia was preceded in death by her mother Domy Blea in 1991. A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 1, at 2:00 PM, with a reception to follow at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. BOLDEN -- Alma Bolden. On May 22, 2008, Alma Bolden passed away in Austin, Texas after a brief illness at the age of 83. Alma had moved to Austin, Texas in 2003 with her daughter, grand-daughters and son-in-law. Prior to moving to Austin, Texas, Alma had lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1976 and was an east coast transplant. Alma was born on December 19, 1924, in Manhattan, New York and grew up in Harlem, New York along with her sister Iris. On February 13, 1966, she married Joseph Joel Bolden who preceded her in passing in June 1996. During her lifetime Alma held various secretarial and book keeping positions and eventually as a type-setter for two newspapers. Prior to moving to Albuquerque, Alma worked for the Burlington County Times in Willingboro, New Jersey. Upon arriving in Albuquerque in 1976, Alma began working for the Albuquerque Journal on the evening shift for 5 years and then eventually worked on the day shift for the Albuquerque Tribune until her retirement in 1991. Alma is survived by her son, Joel Bolden of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Dyann Ledford; granddaughters, Vanessa Nicole Ledford and Raquel Marie Ledford and son-in-law, William Ledford of Austin, Texas. Sister, Iris Bailey and brother-in-law, Arthur Bailey. Nieces', Darlyne Bailey and Dawn Bailey. Alma was Great Aunt to Tara Claire Bailey.
