FAUDIE -- Alden L. Faudie, Sr., 87, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 27 years, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2008. Alden was born August 6, 1920 the son of George Adam and Olive Leona Knarr Faudie in Luthersburg, Pennsylvania. Alden had been a teacher of Science in the Hartsdale, New York school system. He worked for the United States Postal Service, and served in the Army Air Corps, and the Air Force for a total of 18 years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. After retirement, Alden was a bowling instructor at Ten Pins and More in Rio Rancho. Alden is survived by his wife of 27 years Connie, of Rio Rancho; four children, Sherrie McBride of Incline Village, NV, Alden L. Faudie, Jr. and wife, Debra of Rochester Hills, MI, Christopher Faudie and wife, Vikki of Putnam Valley, NY, and Sandra Maier and husband, Bruce of Shoreham, NY; two step-children, Anthony Fulton of Atlanta, GA, and Eric Fulton of Waukegan, IL; eleven grandchildren, Kellie, Kaitlin, Mollie, Megan, James, Gregory, Samantha, Eric, Jr., Kegan, Brianna, and Ariannas; and one sister, Marie Arnold of New Jersey. A Memorial Service will be held for Alden on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Reverend Warren Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Military Honors will be presented by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. FREEMAN -- Donald Edward 1942 - 2008 Donald Edward Freeman, age 65, a resident of Albuquerque, died on May 26, 2008 at the home of his son in Los Lunas. He was the third of four children born in Benton, Illinois to Earl "Roy" Freeman and Mary Burzynski Freeman. The family moved to Arkansas for a few years before moving to Albuquerque in 1955. Don graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1960 and joined the Navy with his twin brother, Ronald. They served together until their release in 1963. Don married Anna Ulibarri in 1965 and that union brought two children. He married Sheila Hemingway in 1984. Don served as an Albuquerque Police Department Officer before joining the Teamsters and driving for Trailways and eventually, retiring from Yellow Freight. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Don was preceded in death by his father in 1964, his mother in 2000, his older brother, Lawrence "Larry" in 2000 and his twin brother, Ronald in 1989. He is survived by two children, Earl Freeman and Gaylene of Los Lunas and Annamaria Costlow and Wendell Upton of Moriarty; sister, Karen McCaslin and Loren of Floyd, NM; four grandchildren, Amanda, Shantell, Christy and Joshua; five step-grandchildren, Debbie, Christina, Simon, Rippen and Brody and one great-grandchild, Angelina. Also surviving are a niece and nephew, Dawn and Robert of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. A Celebration of Don's Life will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Riverside Funeral Home of Belen, 418 W. Reinken Ave. He will be laid to rest at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard. GONZALES -- Maria Elena "Helen" Gonzales, 85, of Albuquerque and Sedillo Hill, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2008. She was born on November 11, 1922 in Milagro, NM to the late Procopio Rael and Florencia Sisneros. She married Rogerio "Roger" G. Gonzales on September 15, 1945. He preceded Helen in death on May 14, 2008. She cared for her children and grandchildren. Helen was a parishioner at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Some of her greatest passions were family gatherings, singing, dancing and playing the guitar. She will be greatly missed by all. Helen was also preceded in death by a son, Isidro Gutierrez, a sister, Anita Griego, a brother, Maurilio Rael; a granddaughter, Helen Katherine Cook in 2002 and by a grandson, Paul Carlos Sanchez in 2007. Survivors include a daughter, Priscilla Garcia and her husband, Joe Magdaleno Garcia; two sons, Armenio Gonzales and his wifem Melende Gonzales, David Gonzales and his wife, Sylvia Garibay-Gonzales; six grandchildren, Janet, Michele, Lisa, Tony, Christina, and Susan; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Knauss and family; a brother-in-law, Jose Griego; and a host of family and friends. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2008 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras with Father Mark Garanito, celebrant. GRISCOM -- James Logan Griscom, 83, closed his eyes and left us to rejoin his one true love, Blanche on May 23, 2008. Along the way these two people touched countless others. No one would doubt that theirs was the deepest kind of love. So as he leaves us here, he begins another life of love with Blanche at his side. They are survived by their children, Lorayne and Dale McCleskey, Marcia, Tom, and the O'Neil Bunch, and Jan and Gwen Griscom; by their grandchildren, Kimberely, Jason, Nicole, and Justin McCleskey, Kerry Doyle, and Kelli Griscom; and great-grandchildren, Caitlein and Dillon McCleskey. GUTIERREZ -- Pedro "Pete" Gutierrez, 83 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. He was a very devoted member of San Jose Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Lucia Gutierrez and his brothers, Gonzalo and Isidro Gutierrez. He is survived by his wife, Estella; his children, Larry Jaquez, Raymond Gutierrez and wife, Mary Margaret, Steve Gutierrez, Michael Gutierrez, Sr. and wife, Maria, Tony Gutierrez and fiance, Monica, Linda Gomez and husband, Mario, Charlene Abrego and husband, Raymundo, Laura Medina and husband, Omar, Daniel Gutierrez and wife, Monica, LLubia Gutierrez and husband, Jorge, Carlos Gutierrez, Jasmine Gutierrez; 29 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, his sisters, Elvira Moreno, Gloria Rivas and husband, Francisco and Pauline Garcia and many nieces and nephews. Pedro will be greatly missed by his loving family. Pedro served in the United States Armed Forces in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a former Justice of the Peace and a Bailiff for the Juvenile Courts. Visitation will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Garcia Mortuary, in the 8th Street Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church on Sunday, June 1, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Jose with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. HENNIGAN -- RoseMarie Hennigan, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2008 after a short, but valiant, bout with pancreatic cancer. She was born January 26, 1925 in Muenster, Texas and has resided in Albuquerque since 1949. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Frank T. Hennigan. She is survived by her children, Ken and wife, Joanie, Terry and wife, Bonny, Bob and wife, Rose, Dave and wife, Val, Kathleen and husband, Jim Wiggans. She has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m., also at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of you choice.

HOLMES -- Hope E. Holmes, age 82, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 22. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Richard Holmes. She is survived by her daughters and their families, Marilyn McIntyre and her husband, Bruce; their children, Codi, Luke, Kaysie and Kelly; and by Carol Bellows and her husband, David, and their children Justin and Kristopher. She is also survived by her sisters, Dorothea Huff of Oregon and Alice Cooper of Kansas. A memorial service will be held at Sombra del Monte Christian Church Friday, May 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.

HUDSON -- George Leon Hudson was born on March 14, 1948, he passed away on May 28, 2008. Leon was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a Cryptologic Technician. After his retirement he earned his B.A. in Medical Arts from Chapman University. Until his death he worked in various capacities at the V. A. George had many hobbies and interests. He was a loyal son, husband, father, and friend. George was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. He is survived by the love of his life his wife, Kathy Mae; daughters, Tara Shaw, Carrie Brackett, Heather Nelson (Jonah), and Destini Hudson; four grandchildren; father, George H. Hudson; brother, Paul G. (Cheryl). He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine P. Hudson. KOCH -- Marilyn J. Koch was born on 3/30/1951 in Santa Fe, NM to Sumner Stanley Koch and Margaret Tucker Koch. She passed away at her home in Bernalillo, NM on Friday, January 4, 2008. Our adored mama, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin and friend departed her life as she embodied it -- brimming with grace and wonder. A memorial service in her honor will be held on Sunday, June 8th at 3:30 p.m. at the University of New Mexico Alumni Memorial Chapel. LEONARD -- Betty Jo Leonard passed on peacefully Saturday, May 24th 2008. She was born January 20th, 1929 in Amarillo, Texas, to James and Adah Starkey. Betty was raised by her loving grandparents, Thomas and Luella Starkey, in Hennessey, Oklahoma and later studied business at Oklahoma State. She was almost a native New Mexican, for more than 60 years. Betty married and raised two daughters, Terri Ann Wenk and Leslie Jo Davis. She helped build a very successful business, Leonard Tire Company and retired in 1983. Betty is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Doug Davis; granddaughters, Stevie and her husband, James Abrusci, Shea and her husband, Kaveh Najafi, Chelsea Jo Davis; grandson, Beau Priest and three beautiful great-grandchildren, Emily and Katie Abrusci and William Priest. She was preceded in death by daughter, Terri Wenk in November 2007. Betty was a member of Christ Community Fellowship. She was involved in many philanthropic projects. She was a member of Assistance League since 1990. She was also a member of the Old Town Merchants Association. Her remarkable attention to detail and exceptional business skills helped secure and buy the Blue Portal building in Old Town. She was a cochairman for the International Barbie Convention, held in Albuquerque. Betty loved traveling around the world with her dear friends, cheering her Lobos on, and playing every kind of table game. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 31st, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Fellowship located at 5908 Anaheim N.E. A celebration of her life will follow at Cindy Harris' home; directions will be given at the service.
