COLLIER -- Betty June Collier passed away May 24, 2007 in Houston, TX. Betty was born in Oklahoma City, OK. She moved to Abq. with her husband William D. Collier (Bill) in 1946. They moved to Houston in 2006. An avid Bridge player her entire life, Betty was a Life Master Bridge player.She taught and directed Bridge for many years. Betty was known for her many artistic talents and her beautiful laugh. She was a long time member of the Cosmopolitan Women's Club, Tanoan Country Club, and a volunteer at the UNM Hospital. Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Bill Collier; their daughter Candace Collier and her husband, Gary C. Freeman, M.D., Houston, TX; brothers Ray and Paul, and numerous nieces and nephews in Oklahoma.

ERDAL -- Bruce R. Erdal, 67, a longtime resident of New Mexico, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007. He is survived by his aunt, Lillian Madson of Albuquerque; uncle, Arnold Erdal of McIntosh NM; cousins, Naoma "Nome" Greiner and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, Gayle Greiner of Dallas TX; a wonderful friend of many years, David Janecky and family of Los Alamos. Dr. Erdal was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Erdal. He retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory after many years. He had also worked for the University of Iowa, Brookhaven National Laboratory and CERN in Switzerland. Bruce received his Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis and his Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Mexico in Chemistry and Music and he graduated from one of the earliest classes at Highland High School. Dr. Erdal was an eleventh generation New Mexican through his mother's side, the Hubbell Family. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be announced in Los Alamos. Ennichement will take place Saturday, June 2, 2007, 1:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. FLOYD -- Vaun Taylor Floyd, age 89, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born on December 22, 1917 to Earl and Florence Floyd. He and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1958 where he was a surgeon and active community leader. Vaun served as a flight surgeon in the Army Air Force during WWII. Dr. Floyd practiced Surgery in Boise, ID and Albuquerque, NM from 1952 until 1984. He then became Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at the former St. Joseph's Hospital from 1984 to 1996. Dr. Floyd is survived by his wife, Mary, married 62 years, his children, Taylor Floyd of Albuquerque, Barbara Chandler of Colorado Springs, CO, Maryann Richard of Solihull, UK and John Floyd of Fort Collins, CO. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two brothers, Rodney and William Floyd of Idaho; and family friend, Helen Martinez. Dr. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Nancy Haworth. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2007, 3:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St. NE. FOSTER -- Clarence Pearl Foster, 76, went to sleep in his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at his home on May 27, 2007. He was born in Ramona, OK, May 29, 1931. He is survived by his wife Phyllis N. Foster, his four children Donovan & Ginger Foster of Wichita, KS, Michael & Sylvia Plummer of Estancia, NM, William & Joyce Foster of Estancia, NM, and Juanita & Wayne Kirkpatrick of Roswell, NM. He is also survived by a brother Richard L. Foster of Albuquerque, NM; a sister Joanna Sparks of Reddick, FL; a brother Donald L. Foster of La Pine, OR, who preceded him in death. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at the Foster home in Estancia, NM, on June 2, 2007 at 4 p.m.

GALLEGOS -- Cheryl A. Gallegos was born in St. Louis, MO on May 30, 1946. Cheryl married Tony Gallegos on July 25, 1964. She lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Tammy and David Montoya and Robbie and Jamie Garcia; one granddaughter, Martina Lynn Garcia; sister and husband, Sally and Tim Packard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; mother and father, Lyman and Idell McCall; and brother, Dale McCall. She was owner of Special Touch Catering along with her husband, Tony and daughter, Tammy. She was founder and role model for many young women who were members of New Life of America. She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and loved ones. GARCIA -- Cleofas T. Garcia passed away on May 25, 2007. She was born on November 13, 1917 to Tranquelino and Maria Trujillo in Taos, NM. GUTIERREZ -- Kathy Gutierrez, wife and mother, passed away May 28, 2007 in Albuquerque at the age of 47. She is survived by her husband, Paul R. HOGLAND -- Betty J. Hogland, 77, was born on November 10, 1929 in Melrose, NM and was called home to the garden of our Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and began her work career as a clerk at a finance company, then a stock broker firm. She then found her place at First National Bank of Albuquerque where she worked her way to Executive Vice President of the Trust division. After her retirement her enjoyment was her yard and garden where she spent many happy hours. Betty was a devoted caregiver to her mother for many years. Always a kind soul, she was ready to lend an ear or a helping hand to all her family. Betty is survived by her sister, Frances Rowland and husband, Harold of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Lou Hogland of Albuquerque; close niece, Sandee Wells and husband, Ron; dear friend, Pat Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschal Sr. and Ruth; brothers, Herschal Jr., Doyle and Elton; and great-nephew, Joshua. JONES -- Donald Wayne Jones, 77, of Truth or Consequences, NM, passed away on May 27, 2007 following a short illness. He was born in Chula, MO to Marie Frazier Jones and John Henry Jones. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret Noble Jones; a brother, John, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Jones of Chillicothe, MO. Other survivors include three nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brothers - H. J. and Bob; and by his sisters - Kathryn Hargrave and Frances Swank. Don graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1947 and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged in June 1953. He was then educated in electronic technology and was hired in October, 1956 at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. Upon retirement in February, 1989, Don and Maggy moved to TorC, NM where he enjoyed feeding bunnies and quail and growing cactus. He was as loved by Maggy's family in Ohio as his own and leaves many good friends and buddies in New Mexico and Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organizations of your choice. Cremation will take place. No services are planned at this time. LICHTENBERGER -- Forest L. "Tory" Lichtenberger, 75, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away May 26, 2007 after a long illness. Prior to owning his own grocery store (Tory's Fine Foods), he worked for Breeden's Grocers for 17 years. He spent 10 years with Continental Coffee as a sales rep before moving to Albuquerque in 1979. Tory and his wife, Claudia, owned and operated "Tory's Restaurant" in Albuquerque for 15 years. He also worked for Jack's Auto Parts, Southwest Distributing, Samon's, Winners, and Standard Restaurant Supply. He was active in Lions and Optimist Clubs. Tory is survived by wife, Claudia; son, Douglas Lichtenberger of Bloomington, IL; daughter, Carol Staley of Decatur, IL; step-children, Mark Barker, Melody Garry, Kimberly Giarratano, and Chad Barker, all born in Decatur, IL; brothers, WD Lichtenberger of Peoria, IL, Paul "Dutch" Lichtenberger of Decatur, IL; sisters, Odesa Wickersham of Peoria, IL, Jeanne Standley of Mt. Zion, IL, Janet Duggan of Glen Carbon, IL, Sandi McConnellee of LA, CA, and Linda Brawner of Lawton, OK. Tory was proud to claim 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, F. Lynn Lichtenberger Jr.; three brothers; and three sisters.
