ATKINSON -- DWAYNE ARTHUR Born January 19, 1973, date of death May 5, 2007. He is survived by his father, Albert Rodriguez; two sisters, Charlene and husband, Kevin Fletcher, Lara and husband, Tony Swanson; one brother, Eric Rodriguez; three nephews Adam, Anthony, Niko; and a niece, Desiree. He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Florence Wicke; his mother, Carolyn; and his son, Robert Dean Atkinson. Dwayne was one of a kind, he was a caring, loving gentleman. He will be missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, located on Juan Tabo NE 323-9000. BABEL -- Dr. Stephen George Babel, 51, passed away peacefully at home with family May 28, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Rock Springs, WY on November 30, 1955 to George and Therese Babel. Steve is survived by his wife Cindy Pease-Babel; children, LeighAnn, Greg, Ryan and Cassie; siblings, Ginny, Jack, Ruth, Mark, George, Patty, and Lori; fellow radiologists at X-Ray Associates; and many more family members, friends, and colleagues. He practiced medicine for 25 years, and was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. He will be greatly missed by all of those he touched, both in his personal life and in the medical community. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest brother, Jimmy John. Rosary recitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. BECKER -- Richard W. Becker, Ph. D., passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. He was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Valley High School's class of 1961. Dr. Becker earned his B.S. from the University of New Mexico in 1965, his M.S.W. from Arizona State University in 1967, and his Ph. D. from the University of New Mexico in 2001. He retired from the Albuquerque Veteran's Medical center in 1996 where he was employed as a clinical social worker. Dr. Becker served as a volunteer with many conservation organizations. He was a past president of the Albuquerque Wildlife Federation, the Albuquerque Chapter National Wild Turkey Federation, the New Mexico Riparian Council, the New Mexico Friends of the Forest, the Environmental Education Association of New Mexico. Dr. Becker also served as the State Coordinator for the Leopold Education Project and supervisor with the Valencia Soil and Water Conservation District. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wildlife photography. Dr. Becker was a member of the New Mexico Mountain Club and the Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association. He was the proud owner of a miniature horse, Snickles and enjoyed caring for the miniature donkey, Pancho, that he gave to his wife, Carol Simone Maria Chavez, as a present for Easter of 2006. Dr. Becker was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He is survived by his wife, Carol Simone Maria Chavez; daughters, Michelle Smith and husband, Doug, Sandra Lyon and husband, Sean; grandchildren, Benjamin Shu-Smith, Victoria Lyon, Evan Lyon; mother, Geraldine Becker; father, Robert Becker; brother, Donald Becker; nephew, Jason Anderson; and numerous other friends and relatives. Services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Highs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. CAMERY -- Miles J. Camery, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, for the last 31 years, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. He was born April 30, 1929 in Harlan, Iowa, to Joseph P. and Cecil (Brodersen) Camery. Miles grew up in Harlan and graduated from Harlan High School in 1947. He played football for Iowa State for two years before returning to Harlan to marry his sweetheart, Norma Jean Hansen. They were married for 56 years. Miles joined the Iowa Department of Conservation as a Game Warden in 1956 and was with them for six years before joining the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 1962. He was first stationed in Beaumont, Texas, then relocated to Anna-Jonesboro, Illinois in 1965, and on to Madison/Sun Prairie, Wisconsin in 1967. Miles was then relocated to Glen Bernie, Maryland in 1974 and on to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1976 where he and Norma continued to live after his retirement in 1982. Miles was a long time member of the Albuquerque Retriever Club, an avid sports fan and outdoorsman. Miles was predeceased by his parents and older brother, Morgan (Ag) Camery of LeSueur, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean of Albuquerque; daughters, Barbara (Dale) Reininger of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and Kim (Chip) Millick of Falmouth, Maine; two grandchildren, Hannah and Ben Millick also of Maine. He is also survived by his two sisters, Joan Prather of Lake Quivira, Kansas and Jan (Lloyd) Pientok of St. Francis, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Agnes Camery; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to all Miles' caregivers over the last 5 years, but special thanks to Dr. Mary Ochadlik; the caregivers at Vista Care; and the Emergency Responders. CIESCO -- Frank Daniel Ciesco, 76, graced this world with his presence in Torrington, CT on October 24, 1930. Born to Eligio and Maria Ciesco, Frank passed into the loving embrace of our Risen Lord and Savior on May 29, 2007 in Reston, VA. As a beloved husband, Frank is survived by his wife, Patricia Ciesco of Reston, VA. As a devoted and generous father (our Lion Heart) he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Ciesco and survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and David Monroe, Reston, VA; Lynn and Louie Hall, Cane Beds, AZ; Diane and Bob Doyle, Tijeras, NM; Dielle Ciesco, Asheville, NC and Padraic Keohane, Los Angeles, CA. As a spirited and inspiring grandfather, he is survived by Logan, Julia, and Shea Doyle. Frank was passionate about his family, friends, work, play and nature, living life to the fullest, taking pleasures in its wonder and beauty, in all things, great and small. COLLIER -- Betty June Collier passed away May 24, 2007 in Houston, TX. Betty was born in Oklahoma City, OK. She moved to Abq. with her husband William D. Collier (Bill) in 1946. They moved to Houston in 2006. An avid Bridge player her entire life, Betty was a Life Master Bridge player.She taught and directed Bridge for many years. Betty was known for her many artistic talents and her beautiful laugh. She was a long time member of the Cosmopolitan Women's Club, Tanoan Country Club, and a volunteer at the UNM Hospital. Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Bill Collier; their daughter Candace Collier and her husband, Gary C. Freeman, M.D., Houston, TX; brothers Ray and Paul, and numerous nieces and nephews in Oklahoma.

ERDAL -- Bruce R. Erdal, 67, a longtime resident of New Mexico, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007. He is survived by his aunt, Lillian Madson of Albuquerque; uncle, Arnold Erdal of McIntosh NM; cousins, Naoma "Nome" Greiner and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, Gayle Greiner of Dallas TX; a wonderful friend of many years, David Janecky and family of Los Alamos. Dr. Erdal was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Erdal. He retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory after many years. He had also worked for the University of Iowa, Brookhaven National Laboratory and CERN in Switzerland. Bruce received his Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis and his Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Mexico in Chemistry and Music and he graduated from one of the earliest classes at Highland High School. Dr. Erdal was an eleventh generation New Mexican through his mother's side, the Hubbell Family. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be announced in Los Alamos. FLOYD -- Vaun Taylor Floyd, age 89, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born on December 22, 1917 to Earl and Florence Floyd. He and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1958 where he was a surgeon and active community leader. Vaun served as a flight surgeon in the Army Air Force during WWII. Dr. Floyd practiced Surgery in Boise, ID and Albuquerque, NM from 1952 until 1984. He then became Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at the former St. Joseph's Hospital from 1984 to 1996. Dr. Floyd is survived by his wife, Mary, married 62 years, his children, Taylor Floyd of Albuquerque, Barbara Chandler of Colorado Springs, CO, Maryann Richard of Solihull, UK and John Floyd of Fort Collins, CO. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two brothers, Rodney and William Floyd of Idaho; and family friend, Helen Martinez. GALLEGOS -- Cheryl A. Gallegos was born in St. Louis, MO on May 30, 1946. Cheryl married Tony Gallegos on July 25, 1964. She lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Tammy and David Montoya and Robbie and Jamie Garcia; one granddaughter, Martina Lynn Garcia; sister and husband, Sally and Tim Packard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was owner of Special Touch Catering along with her husband, Tony and daughter, Tammy. She was founder and role model for many young women who were members of New Life of America. HOGLAND -- Betty J. Hogland, 77, was born on November 10, 1929 in Melrose, NM and was called home to the garden of our Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and began her work career as a clerk at a finance company, then a stock broker firm. She then found her place at First National Bank of Albuquerque where she worked her way to Executive Vice President of the Trust division. After her retirement her enjoyment was her yard and garden where she spent many happy hours. Betty was a devoted caregiver to her mother for many years. Always a kind soul, she was ready to lend an ear or a helping hand to all her family. Betty is survived by her sister, Frances Rowland and husband, Harold of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Lou Hogland of Albuquerque; close niece, Sandee Wells and husband, Ron; dear friend, Pat Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschal Sr. and Ruth; brothers, Herschal Jr., Doyle and Elton; and great-nephew, Joshua. JONES -- Donald Wayne Jones, 77, of Truth or Consequences, NM, passed away on May 27, 2007 following a short illness. He was born in Chula, MO to Marie Frazier Jones and John Henry Jones. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret Noble Jones; a brother, John, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Jones of Chillicothe, MO. Other survivors include three nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brothers - H. J. and Bob; and by his sisters - Kathryn Hargrave and Frances Swank. Don graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1947 and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged in June 1953. He was then educated in electronic technology and was hired in October, 1956 at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. Upon retirement in February, 1989, Don and Maggy moved to TorC, NM where he enjoyed feeding bunnies and quail and growing cactus. He was as loved by Maggy's family in Ohio as his own and leaves many good friends and buddies in New Mexico and Missouri. LICHTENBERGER -- Forest L. "Tory" Lichtenberger, 75, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away May 26, 2007 after a long illness. Prior to owning his own grocery store (Tory's Fine Foods), he worked for Breeden's Grocers for 17 years. He spent 10 years with Continental Coffee as a sales rep before moving to Albuquerque in 1979. Tory and his wife, Claudia, owned and operated "Tory's Restaurant" in Albuquerque for 15 years. He also worked for Jack's Auto Parts, Southwest Distributing, Samon's, Winners, and Standard Restaurant Supply. He was active in Lions and Optimist Clubs. Tory is survived by wife, Claudia; son, Douglas Lichtenberger of Bloomington, IL; daughter, Carol Staley of Decatur, IL; step-children, Mark Barker, Melody Garry, Kimberly Giarratano, and Chad Barker, all born in Decatur, IL; brothers, WD Lichtenberger of Peoria, IL, Paul "Dutch" Lichtenberger of Decatur, IL; sisters, Odesa Wickersham of Peoria, IL, Jeanne Standley of Mt. Zion, IL, Janet Duggan of Glen Carbon, IL, Sandi McConnellee of LA, CA, and Linda Brawner of Lawton, OK. Tory was proud to claim 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. LOCKWOOD -- Eugene Edward "Eddie" (Big Grandpa) Lockwood Jr. passed away Friday, May 25, 2007. He was born January 31, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA, a son of Eugene and Goldy Belle Lockwood. He married Josefina Rodriguez, March 22, 1975 in Las Vegas, NV. She passed February 11, 2007. Survivors include three sons and three daughters: Mark Lockwood, Colton, CA; Julie (Kenneth) Amaya, Hesperia, CA; Eugene Edward (Nancy) Lockwood III, Fontana, CA; James (Rene) Lockwood, Shelton, WA; Juanita Lockwood, and Lisa (Chris) Blanshine, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Kenny (Reina), Thomas, Robin (Ivan), Steven (Wendy), Amber, Kevin (Jessenia), Matthew, Tiffany, Jennifer, Lauren, Daniel, and Hayley. MARTIN -- Thomas "Tom" Cody Martin, 58, passed away peacefully at the family home on Monday, May 28, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Peggy; brothers, Jamie and Paul Martin; sisters, Francine Gibson and husband, Mike, and Betty Jo Trammell; wonderful nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Susie Martin. Tom owned Martin Painting Company in Albuquerque for 25 years before retiring to Lemitar, NM where he built a retirement home and lived for six years before recently relocating. MARTINEZ -- Eliza Romero Ulibarri Martinez, 75, passed away May 27, 2007 in Albuquerque. She had lived in Albuquerque since 1962. Eliza was an active member and devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her husband, Everisto Martinez; two brothers, Manuel Ulibarri of Portland, OR, and Mayo Ulibarri of Albuquerque; three sisters, Vivian Aragon and Flora Opel of Albuquerque, and Delores Serna and husband, Benny of Bosque Farms; three sons, Everitt Dean Martinez and wife, Jeanette, David E. Martinez, and Edmond Daniel Martinez, all of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Amanda L. Martinez and Aaron Dean Martinez; one great-granddaughter, Angelica L. Martinez, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Ramon Ulibarri (KIAWII) Daniel Ulibarri, Carlos Ulibarri, Gilberto Ulibarri, Anastacio Ulibarri, and Herminio Ulibarri; and three sisters, Amalia Stamper, Verna Monagham, and Belen Aured. Eliza was an extraordinary woman, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always gave of herself and never asked for anything in return. MCBRIDE -- Beatrice McBride was born in Cubero, NM, April 12, 1923. She passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the age of 84. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Amado and Veneranda Sarracino; brother, Joe Sarracino and daughter, Roberta O. Aragon. She is survived by her sister, Navora Miller; her three daughters, Margaret Moya and husband Amarante "Moe", Susanna O. Martin and Virginia Lasater; two sons, Albert "Boy" Otero and wife Kathy and Fidel Otero; son-in-law, Walter Aragon Jr.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. MORGAN -- SCOTT ALAN Beloved son and brother Scott Alan Morgan went home to be with the Lord May 3, 2007. Scott was born on May 3, 1964 in Gardena, CA and had resided for the past 13 years in Centennial, CO. His memory is cherished by his family and many dear friends, including his parents, Robert and Betty Morgan of Roswell, NM; brother, Robert Charles Morgan and wife, Monica of Olathe, KS; sister, Elizabeth Irene Ronan of Albuquerque; and twin sister, Sandra Alise Donohoe and husband, Larry, also of Albuquerque. Scott was beloved by nieces and nephews: Rachel and Daniel Morgan, Shawn and Ashley Richard, Amy Ronan, Samantha Trowbridge and Cassandra Donohoe. Scottie touched the lives of many friends in both New Mexico and Colorado with his generous nature and compassion for the welfare of all forms of life. An avid animal lover, Scottie once hiked four miles in a Colorado snow storm to get his dog to the veterinary. Scott loved music of all varieties and was gifted as a musician. A brilliant man and seeker of spiritual truths, Scott's final entry in his personal journal reminds us, 'Dear Friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. . ." I John 4:7-8. After a brief family celebration of his life, Scott's ashes will be released into the currents of time, that will honor his desire for us to experience peace and tranquility and to embrace love. The family request that friends remember Scott as the gentle giant who sought to make others feel special even in the briefest of moments.

ROMERO -- William J. Romero, 74, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007. He is survived by son, Bill Joe Romero; daughters, Celeste Romero and Cheryl Romero Brown and husband, Joe; granddaughters, Michelle Brown and Roberta Moree; grandsons, Daniel Brown, Samuel Brown, Matthew Moree, and Dylan Moree; great-grandson, William Dante Susco; great-granddaughters, Monique Nicole Montano, Sage Baros Brown, and Genesis Marie Montano; sister, Edith Giacomoro; and brother, Ronnie Romero. Mr. Romero was preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Anna Marie Romero; and parents, Sam Romero and Lena Hamilton. He was an electrician with Yearout Electric for many years and later owned and operated Force Electric until his retirement. In addition to being a loving husband and wonderful father, Mr. Romero was a very talented artist and craftsman. His wisdom, insight, and love will always be cherished by his family. TEMPLE -- Daniel (Danny) A. Temple, 38, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2007. Danny was born January 13, 1969, the son of Edmund Ted and Ruth Marlene Meade Temple in Redwood City, CA. He had worked as an installer in the Interior Decorating business. Danny was an avid fisherman, and loved watching sports. Danny was preceded in death by two half brothers, Tom and Les Temple. He is survived by his mother, Ruth M. Houston and husband, William of Albuquerque; his father, Edmund Temple; one sister, Jill Temple of California. Danny had many friends and will be sorely missed by many people. TERWILLIGER -- Anna Mae Terwilliger passed away peacefully March 7, 2007. She was born in Parsons, KS, December 13, 1911. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 1/2 years, A. Richard (Dick) Terwilliger; her parents, Ethel and John Gabriel; and her sister, Emogene Chrisman. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Wormeli and husband, Paul of Reston, VA; her daughter, Martha Meister and husband, David of Albuquerque; her grandsons, Richard Wormeli and wife, Kelly of Herndon, VA, Benjamin Wormeli and wife, Natalie of Davis, CA, John Meister and wife, Margaret of Albuquerque, James Meister and wife, Christina of Germantown, MD; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Lynn Wormeli, Laurel and Jake Meister, and Nadia and Helena Meister. Anna Mae taught in a one room country schoolhouse for three years. Married on July 23, 1936, Anna Mae and Dick moved to Santa Fe, where Dick taught at the Allison-James Presbyterian Mission School. Their life continued to Drexel, MO and Urbana, IL from 1940 until 1947, when the family moved back to Albuquerque, NM. Anna Mae has lived her last 13 years at Manzano Del Sol Good Samaritan Village, where she had many good friends and loving care. Church and family were the guiding forces in Anna Mae's life. She was a loving, supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for 60 years. There she served as a Deacon for several years and was Chairperson of the Deacon Board. She also was a member of Mariners and the Women's Association. Anna Mae participated in Eastern Star for many years, and was a member of the Masonic Widows after Dick's death. She delivered Meals on Wheels in Northeast Albuquerque for over 20 years. Anna Mae loved to play Bridge and Bingo. She crocheted afghans for her daughters, and was always interested in the lives of her family members. The family wishes to thank the staff at Manzano Del Sol and Evercare for the loving care of our mother, especially these past two years. TSINNAJINNIE -- Myrna Eleanor Tsinnajinnie, 58, was called by the Creator on May 26, 2007 and joined her parents, Leonora and Godofredo Manuel in heaven. She is survived by her husband, Robert Tsinnajinnie; their three children: Leola, Belin, and Lani; and her siblings: Tommy Manuel and Lorna Sue. Myrna was born on February 24, 1949 and raised in Waipahu, HI. Myrna first came to New Mexico as an exchange student from the University of Hawaii and worked at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe as a resident assistant. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, she moved to New Mexico where she met and fell in love with her husband, Robert, while working in Albuquerque. Myrna and Robert were married on October 12, 1974. Together while raising their three children, they spent 31 years as educators in the Navajo communities of Pine Hill and Na' Neelzhiin. As a teacher, she poured her soul into committing her heart into motivating and bringing out the best of talents in each of her students. As a friend, Myrna, through her loving hands, she cooked, she danced, she brought together her friends and weaved them into a family. As a mother, from their births, her beauty has been carried in the hearts of her children. Together with her husband, they built a home filled with love, spirituality, laughter, and affection. The love and passion between Myrna and Bob touched everyone around them. As best friends, they lived together, worked together, played together, and used the power of their love to share their blessings with others. A Rosary will be held Friday, June 1, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. A Mass will also be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception church in Cuba. Her burial will take place at a family plot in Torreon, NM. A reception will follow at the Immaculate Conception church in Cuba.
