Betty J. Hogland, 77, was born on November 10, 1929 in Melrose, NM and was called home to the garden of our Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and began her work career as a clerk at a finance company, then a stock broker firm. She then found her place at First National Bank of Albuquerque where she worked her way to Executive Vice President of the Trust division. After her retirement her enjoyment was her yard and garden where she spent many happy hours. Betty was a devoted caregiver to her mother for many years. Always a kind soul, she was ready to lend an ear or a helping hand to all her family. Betty is survived by her sister, Frances Rowland and husband, Harold of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Lou Hogland of Albuquerque; close niece, Sandee Wells and husband, Ron; dear friend, Pat Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschal Sr. and Ruth; brothers, Herschal Jr., Doyle and Elton; and great-nephew, Joshua. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2007, 10:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
