WALKER -- William E. "Bill" Walker, 80, an Albuquerque resident since 1954, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2007. Born December 29, 1926 in Minden, LA, he spent most of his youth in Texas. He attended Texas A&M where he played football and graduated with a mechanical engineering degree. His college career was briefly interrupted to serve in the Army during the end of WWII. Upon graduation he worked for GE in the northeast before his love of the outdoors lured him out west to Albuquerque to work at Sandia Labs. His 34 years as a rocket scientist/engineer at Sandia took him all over the world. Bill was a devoted husband and family man who loved to hunt and fish in the wilds of New Mexico and Colorado with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Bill Walker and wife, Miyako of Carrollton, TX, David, Jeff and wife, Robin of Albuquerque; step-children, Chris Blodgett and wife, Nancy, Katherine and Maureen; five granddaughters, Jessica Schommer, Julie Weiss, Sadie Pettigrew, Lindsay Blodgett, and Robyn Walker; three great-grandchildren, Theo Schommer, Maddie Weiss and Jenna Weiss. ARUNDALE -- Paula L. Arundale, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, lover, and friend, passed away on her late father's birthday, December 31, 2006 at her home in Green Valley, AZ. Although she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, we will rejoice in the memory of her love of life, her sense of humor and of adventure, and her gentle nature. She was born June 5, 1932 in Chicago, IL and lived a full, rich life. She grew up and attended school all over the U.S., moving often as her father climbed the corporate ladder. After marrying in 1952, Paula moved to Albuquerque, NM where she would spend most of her adult life. She also lived two years in Blacksburg, VA and seven in Aurora, IL. After raising a family and operating a family owned business, Paula earned a degree in Business Administration at UNM. She then joined a group of neurosurgeons, as their business manager, where she worked for years before retiring to pursue her favorite career: world adventurer. Paula and her dog would often take Casa Raton, her small RV, on trips around the country and to Mexico. The Galapagos Islands and Aruba were the most recent of many foreign destinations visited over the years. She sailed warm waters, skied cold mountains, rafted raging rivers, and enjoyed meeting people wherever she went. Many of her adventures included family and old friends, most included new friends she made along the way. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and William Langefeld; and her brother, Richard Langefeld. She is survived by her soul mate, Richard Wadley and their dog, Misty; her daughters, Connie Arundale, Cathy Peterson and husband, Terry, Debbie Arundale, and Vicki Arundale; and their father, Doug Arundale; her brother, Phil Langefeld and wife, Varda; grandchildren, Corey, Chad, Tiffany, Tony, and Kenna; great-grandchildren, Leandra, Berlin, and Hunter; and many dear friends. As she requested, Paula was cremated and no public service is scheduled. COFFEY -- Jane Ruth Heard Coffey (Mama Doc), of Albuquerque, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, died on January 9, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank. She is survived by her four children, Cheryl Fuller of Ft. Worth, TX, Lisa Marshall and her husband, Bill, of Albuquerque, Laura Banks and her husband, Kevin, of Albuquerque, and Scott Coffey and his wife, Julie, of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Colin, Lauren, Kate, and Maggie Fuller, Crystal and Ashley Marshall, Nathan Banks, and Liam Coffey. In addition, Jane is survived by her brother, Jack of Midland, TX. Jane was born in Houston, TX on June 24, 1932. She attended McGregor, TX public schools, graduating at age 16 and was accepted to Baylor University, where she attended with Frank. They moved to Albuquerque in 1960, where she devoted her time to raising her family and volunteering for many children's organizations. She was active in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and was a 3rd grade Sunday school teacher for over 16 years. She and her family were among the founding members of Asbury United Methodist Church, and she remained a supportive member of the church throughout her life. In her later years, she was her grandchildren's most devoted fan, attending as many of their activities as possible. She will be remembered for her devotion to children, her kindness, and her love and dedication to her family. A Memorial Service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10,000 Candelaria Rd. NE., at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007. Interment will take place at the family cemetery in Waco, TX. FRAZEE -- Mark Frazee, age 58, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007. He is survived by his three children, Misty Ann Frazee, Autumn Jenine Frazee, and Brian Anthony Frazee, all of who reside in Albuquerque. In spite of his compromised health conditions beginning at age 19, Mark enjoyed a successful career as a computer systems consultant for Avnet Computer. He also assisted in establishing a Medical R & D Company to pioneer new research to sustain emergency heart, brain and lung function. Mark had a passion for new and exciting enterprises for he and his associates. His most recent was to bring NASCAR excitement to Albuquerque. Mark was born to Joseph and Norma Frazee on April 27, 1948 in Panama while his father was serving active duty in the United States Military. He was the 2nd of four children. Mark is survived by his sister, Karen of Phoenix, AZ; his brother, Chris of Durango, CO; and his sister, Jodi Brown of Albuquerque. He will be greatly missed for his kindness, generosity and his ability to add an interesting perspective to any event or situation. FRAZIER -- Danny Eugene Frazier, age 50, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2007. He graduated from Rio Grande High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1974. Shortly after graduating he began a successful racing career. Danny would race at the Speedway Park and Duke City Raceway in Albuquerque. His family owned Frazier's Auto Salvage and Frazier's Homestead. Danny was a joyous, happy man dedicated to making his family and friends laugh. He was a loving father and husband. Danny will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth; his father, Robert Frazier; and his mother, Evelyn Frazier. Danny is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Frazier, Joseph Frazier and his wife, Candice, and Larry Tyler, all of Albuqureque; his daughter, Ann Leathem and her husband, Skimmer of Belen; his grandchildren, Brianna, Destinie, Joseph, Robert, Kylie and Daniel; siblings, Jerry Frazier of Tome, Ronnie Frazier and his wife, Beth of Los Lunas, JoAnn Frazier of Los Lunas, and Donna Toms and her husband, Charles of Buckeye, AZ; and many loving nieces and nephews. HINDI -- Robert D. Hindi passed away in San Francisco on November 21, 2006. Born on December 19, 1950, he grew up on the family ranch in Lincoln County, NM. After graduation from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Robert made San Francisco his home for the past 30 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Billie (1989) and Ednen (2004) Hindi; and his brother, Ednen Alex (2001). He is survived by his sister, Sarah Hindi and Maureen Eckroth of St. George, UT; two nephews, Ednen William and Jhad Alex; nieces, Khara Rose and Amarah Kay Hindi, all of Albuquerque; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, and friends, throughout the world. Robert's career began as Pediatric Chief Resident at Children's Hospital-Oakland. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF and Stanford University. He attained Board certification in Pediatrics, Allergy, and Immunology and qualification in Pediatric Pulmonology. His career encompassed key roles at Children's-Oakland, Children's-SF, Children's Hospital-Stanford, Stanford University Hospital, Stanford University School of Medicine and Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. Robert was a founder of the Bay Area Physicians for Human Rights. Robert entered medical school with the motivation to become involved in the health care of others. His enthusiastic attitude and sense of humor were basic in directing his life work. A celebration of Robert's life will be held in Albuquerque at a later date in the spring.

KNOX -- DOUGLAS R., PH.D. Douglas passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2007 at the age of 61. He was a respected member of the faculty of New Mexico Highlands University and a staff member of the Public Education Department. Douglas was a big hearted kind gentleman, who was loved by family, friends and students and spent his life helping others. He is survived by his wife, Leigh; and sons, Cedric of Tijeras, NM and Steve of Orlando, FL; and a sister, Pam Kaser of Moore, OK. Douglas was well known in the educational area and served on many committees and volunteered in many ways within the community. As a dynamic individual he will be missed by people he served. His Service will be held on January 13, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church at 812 Edith Blvd. NE. MANUEL -- Wayne Omar Manuel Jr., Ret. TSgt., USAF, age 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007. He was born in Galax, VA. He served his country in the United States Air Force, where he served in several deployments, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Honduras; he retired after 20 years of military service. He was a man of few words, a very giving person with an enormously big heart. Wayne enjoyed traveling, movies, photography and had a huge interest in collecting music. He is survived by his wife, Rose Manuel; his children, Geraldine, Mary Jo, Eddie and their spouses; his sisters, Carolyn G. Manuel, Karen Lukenich and husband Tom, and Wanda O'Neil; nephew, Shane O'Neil; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wayne will be greatly missed by all. OYDNA -- Ludmilla Maria Oydna, 80, a resident of Albuquerque from 1973 until mid 2006 when she moved to California, passed away on December 18, 2006. She was born April 26, 1926 the daughter of Philipp and Maria Modl Woelfelschneider in Darmstadt, Germany. Ludmilla is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Tunney Oydna of San Diego, CA; two children, Arne Oydna of Juneau, AK, and Bernt Oydna of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Ethan, and Olivia.
