KNOX -- DOUGLAS R., PH.D. Douglas passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2007 at the age of 61. He was a respected member of the faculty of New Mexico Highlands University and a staff member of the Public Education Department. Douglas was a big hearted kind gentleman, who was loved by family, friends and students and spent his life helping others. He is survived by his wife, Leigh; and sons, Cedric of Tijeras, NM and Steve of Orlando, FL; and a sister, Pam Kaser of Moore, OK. Douglas was well known in the educational area and served on many committees and volunteered in many ways within the community. As a dynamic individual he will be missed by people he served. His Service will be held on January 13, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church at 812 Edith Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to Vista Care Foundation earmarked for East Mountain patients.
