CALDWELL -- Helen P. Caldwell, 81, our dear Mom, Grandma, and GG, joined her beloved husband, John Caldwell on Thursday, March 23, 2006. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Caldwell of Albuquerque and Kathy Magee and husband, Edward, of Grapevine, TX; grandchildren, Monica Allen and husband, Mark of Round Rock, TX and Kevin Caldwell Magee of Denton, TX; one great-grandson, John Allen; sister, Rosalie Cochran of Woodward, OK; two brothers-in-law, Col. James K. Caldwell (USA) Ret. and wife, Geraldine of Falcon, MO and Dr. Delmar Caldwell and wife, Joann of Folsom, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Helen is also survived by a host of friends, including Maxine Rule and the "Penney Gals". She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Caldwell in June 2005. Helen was born in Webb, OK on April 15, 1924 and has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1955. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. CHEE -- Thelma R. Chee, 27, To dichiinii, Ta neeszahnii, Kinyaa aanii, Totsohnii, Clan of Bitterwater, daughter of Tangle People, granddaughter of Watertower and Bigwater. Thelma was a resident of Albuquerque and passed away on March 24, 2006. Thelma is survived by her father, Paul Chee; her mother, Virginia Alice Yazzie; one brother, Garrett Chee; one sister, Ivona V. Chee; her grandfather, Alfred Welito; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Thelma was a member of the Catholic Church, employee of the Dept. of Interior, graduate of Wingate High School Class of 1996, attended U.T.I. for mechanics, she loved the outdoors, loved to ride horses, liked old cars and always wanted to better herself in life and continue here education. Visitation for Thema will be Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass, place to be announced. GALVAN -- Richard Galvan, age 38, beloved father, son, and brother, was called home by our Heavenly Father, Thursday, March 23, 2006. Richard was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Galvan; and by a brother, Louie (Lou) Galvan. Richard is survived by his precious children, Frankie, Richard, Samantha, and Joseph Galvan; the mother of his children, Emma Yazzie; his loving mother, Kathy A. Galvan; his sister, Joann Galvan and husband, Ernest; his grandmother, Nacha Galvan; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and other beloved family members and friends. Richard will be greatly missed by his loving family. HAY -- LeRoy B. Hay, 68, passed away at home on Saturday, March 25, 2006. LeRoy was born and raised in Albuquerque, graduated from Albuquerque High School, and spent the majority of his years in Albuquerque. He was a Charter Member of Edith Street Baptist Church. Shortly after high school graduation, he traveled to Los Angeles, CA and embarked on a career with the Southern Pacific Railroad. This career was short-lived when a railroad accident resulted in amputation of his left leg. LeRoy returned to Albuquerque and after working a number of odd jobs he started his own welding business, L & H Welding. He had worked at Rio Grande Steel in the early 60s where he had learned and developed his welding skills. He worked on a wide variety of welding projects with numerous and varied construction companies. He and "the big green welding truck" were well known in the community. Over the last ten years, he also worked part-time for Delta Cleaners making pick-ups and deliveries. LeRoy is survived by his mother, Daisy Hay; sister, Daisy (Tootsie) and husband, LJ (Leroy) Humphries; niece, Deana and her three children, Heather, Kendra, and Charles; nephew, Jason and wife, Andrea and their two children, Isabella and Michael; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and two special second cousins, Mary McMillan and Mary Jane Reames. LeRoy's father, Roy L. Hay preceded his son in death in 1990. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. HIDALGO -- Martha Hidalgo, age 92, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, was lovingly wrapped in the arms of the Lord, our Savior, Sunday, March 26, 2006, at 1:00 a.m. Martha was born in Santo Nino, NM and a resident of Albuquerque for the past 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Filimon Hidalgo; son, Raymond Hidalgo; her parents, Lucano and Crescenciana Quintana; sisters, Sarah Delgado and Terecina Martinez; and brother, Louie Quintana. Martha is survived by her son, Henry Hidalgo and his wife, Eloise; daughter-in-law, Aloma Hidalgo; brother, Orlando Quintana and wife, Matilda; sister, Gloria Silva and husband, Paul; niece Regina Martinez and husband, Delfin; six grandsons; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Martha will be greatly missed by her loving family. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and was a very devoted Catholic. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed; especially the comfort one took when she served one of her special enchilada dinners. We all will miss this special lady. INGE -- Richard Inge, 74, our Dad, Grandpa and wonderful husband, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2006 after a brief illness. He was born on November 29, 1931. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for ACF. He retired from the Corps of Engineers in 1991 after more than 20 years of service. He and his loving wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last August. He loved staying busy working in the yard, running trains, and finding new projects to complete. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a Rosary recited for him Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 7 p.m. and a Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 9 a.m. with burial to follow at Mt. JEFFREY -- Robert Allan Jeffrey, age 83, peacefully died on March 23, 2006 in Albuquerque. He was born on May 3, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Glenn Chapman and Helen Marie (Shirlander) Jeffrey. Bob enjoyed the outdoors and was a competitive athlete; he was an avid runner who competed in several marathons in his lifetime. His completion of the Boston Marathon and La Luz Trail were among his proudest moments. Bob also enjoyed extensive travel with his wife, Sue, and was a member of the Sandia Roadrunner and the NM Bounder RV group. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII in the China-Burma-India Theater. Bob worked for Sandia National Laboratories as an Electrical Engineer for 31 year; he was a member of the local member of the China, Burma, India Theater, the Sandia Thunderbirds, and the La Mesa Presbyterian Church. Bob enjoyed his family. "Bobo" will be missed deeply by all who loved him. Bob is survived by his wife, Sue of the family home, four daughters; Kathleen Flagstead and husband, James of Concord, CA, Pamela Welschmeyer and husband, Ted of Mesa, AZ, Kimberly Shirley and husband, Gordon of Bay Point, CA and Laura Shirley and husband, Steven of Albuquerque, NM; he has one son, Michael Jeffrey and wife, Jody of Antioch, CA. Bob is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William Jeffrey and Richard Jeffrey. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at La Mesa Presbyterian Church with Pastor Trey Hammond. LEMONS -- Mary (Montoya) Lemons, age 81, passed away Thursday evening at the home of her son, Homer Dodge, Jr. She was born on May 14, 1924, at home at the San Juan Pueblo, NM. Mary is survived by her husband of more than 30 years, James Lemons; her son, Homer and his wife, Pat; granddaughter, Marina Vigil; grandsons Barry, Alex, and Christopher; and five great-grandchildren; her sisters, Gertie Sanchez, May Naranjo; and brother, Paul Montoya. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Severiano (Sid) and Ella Montoya; and two brothers, Sidney and Gene. Mary will be remembered as a loving life partner and wife, an understanding and supportive mother and an indulgent and present grandmother. LOPEZ -- Josephine A. "Fefi" Lopez went home March 25, 2006. When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary mile, just forget if you can, that I ever frowned and remember only the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken; remember some good I have done, forget that I ever had heartache and remember I've had loads of fun. Forget that I have stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won, ere the close of the day, then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day, but in summer just gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay, and come in the evening when the sun paints the sky in the west. Stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best. Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Lopez and son, Robert Lopez. MCGRANE -- JAMES JR. Deputy James "Jimmy" McGrane Jr., 38, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Connie McGrane; parents, Jim McGrane, Sr. and Rita McGrane; sister, Ida Tinguely and husband, John; brother-in-law, Dale Reames and wife, Tina; niece and god-daughter, Alexandria Tinguely; nephew and god-son, Dylan Reames; and numerous extended family members. Deputy McGrane was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lorraine McGrane. He proudly served the Citizens of Bernalillo County for over three years with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department. MONTANO -- Onice Baca Montano went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Montano and her loving son, Louie Montano. Onice was born September 2, 1923 in Kelly, New Mexico to Epimenio and Rebecca Baca. She was raised in Magdalena, NM and moved to Albuquerque in 1952. Onice worked hard all her life to provide for her eight children. She was an inspiration to all her family and friends. She truly epitomized "When the going gets tough, the tough gets going." She is survived by her children, Dorothy Montano, Tommy Montano and wife, Carmen, Nancy Montano, Donna Staruska, Joey Montano and wife, Rita, Charles Montano, Michelle Gendron and husband, David; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena Chavez and husband, Eddie; dearest nephew, Joe Paez and wife, Linda; sisters-in-law, Clorinda Montano, Mela Montano; brothers-in-law, Eloy Sanchez, Santiago Carrillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church 5915 Bluewater Rd. NW. Her cousin Noe Gonzales from San Antonio, Texas will conduct the service. MURPHY -- Consuelo "Connie" Murphy, 57, a resident of Albuquerque and previously of Santa Fe, died Thursday, March 23, 2006 after 13 years of courageously battling breast cancer. She is survived by her four children, Nathaniel, Rebecca, John "Jack", and Frederick "Fred" Murphy and their father, Mark Murphy; mother, Patrocinia "Tita" "Patty" Rael; sister, Maria "Mary Ann" A. Rael; aunts, Octaviana Chavez and Rosana Mier and husband, Marin; very close and dear friends, Marguerite Gonzales and husband, Bob White, Patricia Gurule, Julie Roybal and husband, Jimmy, Diana Capshaw and husband, Dwight; and close cousin, Lola "Dolores" Gonzales; and many other cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Alberto "Beto" Rael. Connie had worked for the Social Security Administration for over 20 years both in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque offices and left many friends and co-workers. ROTH -- Emanuel Paul Roth died on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 in Albuquerque. He was born on December 8, 1974 in Urbana-Champaign, IL to Emanuel Peter and Marion (Davis) Roth. Paul was raised in Albuquerque since the age of four, loved Albuquerque, went to La Cueva High School and graduated in 1993. He was active in Scouting, soccer and gymnastics while in school. Paul loved outdoor activities of all kinds. Among his favorites were fishing, camping, and hiking with his family and friends' families. Paul also enjoyed off-roading and working on friend's vehicles. As he grew up, his passions turned to computers and he owned his own business called A+ PC Repair. Most recently Paul was a happy and valued employee at Digital Visions in Albuquerque where he was passionate about his career. He was engaged to Nicole Waits in December, 2004 whom he deeply loved. She is greatly impacted by his loss and will always treasure the memories of their time together. Paul was a gentle soul and will be truly missed by his family and all who knew him. He is survived by his parents; one sister, Christy Roth; fiancee, Nicole Waits; grandparents, Charlotte Roth of Albuquerque and Earl and Marion Davis of Alabama; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the country. Paul was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emanuel William Roth. STAMM -- Florence Bradbury Stamm 85 died peacefully at home March 22, 2006 after a short illness. Her parents, O. G. and Elsie Bradbury, moved to Albuquerque in 1919. Florence was born in Sydney, Nebraska on October 19, 1920. She and her mother immediately returned to Albuquerque where she has lived ever since. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert J. Stamm; her twin sister, Frances Karins; son, Brad Stamm MD and his wife, Victoria Stamm; daughter, Susan Evans and her husband, Dick Evans. Grandchildren are Monique Rochester and her husband, Mark Rochester, Karen Evans MD and her partner, Lisa Marchese, Kate Schwarz and her husband, Eric Schwarz. Great-grandchildren are Chase Rochester, Zoe Evans, and Sasha Evans. Special thanks for love and caring support goes to nieces Judy Husmer and Becky Thomson. Florrie and Bob have both lived in Albuquerque all of their lives. They met in their sophomore year at Albuquerque High School in 1936. She attended the University of New Mexico where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority in the class of 1942. Florrie and Bob were married on May 14, 1943 and enjoyed a remarkable 62 years of loving marriage. Prior to, and during World War II she worked for her father's firm, the initial contractor on Kirtland Air Force Base. Later on she worked for the First National Bank of Albuquerque. Since then she dedicated herself to her eminently successful career as a homemaker. She was a member of the Junior League of Albuquerque and participated in many programs pertaining to children's education and entertainment. She enjoyed many years of close friendship with members of Le Cadeaux and Bridge Club. Florrie's life was devoted to her husband, children, friends, and community. She will be remembered by a vast number of children and young adults to whom she offered a place to play, loving support and guidance. Florrie was legendary through several generations for her outstanding common sense, compassionate nature, unquestioning love and loyalty to friends. Family and friends all treasured not only her ability to listen, but also her ability to give quiet and meaningful counsel. Her quick smile and infectious enthusiasm inspired everyone to seek the most in their own lives. She will be missed and remembered in all of our hearts. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the sensitivity and care of Heritage Hospice as well as the many years of love and care of Marcie Lujan, Jenny Perea and Flora Garcia. Memorial Celebration will be Monday, March 27, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at the University of New Mexico Continuing Education Conference Center Auditorium, 1634 University Blvd., Albuquerque, NM. WINKLER -- Florence E. Winkler, 86, our loved and loving mother, whom we shall miss, went home to God Friday, March 24, 2006. Florence was born in Kansas City, KS to Fay and Florence (Gragg) Fletcher on January 17, 1920. She was an Albuquerque resident since 1953. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Harris (1944); her former husband, Charles (1985); sister, Bernice; brothers-in-law, Roe Shelley and Preston Casteel; and brothers, Charles Edward and Basil Fletcher. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Johnston of Albuquerque and Marilyn Williams and husband, Richard of Valley View, TX; brothers, George Albert and Thomas D. Fletcher; sister, Rosanna Casteel; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
