WOOD -- Serpherness Henry Wood, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, died Monday, August 16, 2004. He was born in Hillman, MN to Peter George and Bertha Elnora, both deceased. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Catherine May Wood of Albuquerque; and 4 sisters, Adetha - Mrs. Chester Setterlof of Onamia, MN, Elnora - Mrs. Vernon Jones of Onamia, MN, Ayme - Mrs. Elmer Cain of Sun City, AZ, and Alda Wood of Onamia, MN; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Dora May - Mrs. Gunnar Benson. Serpherness graduated from Onamia High School in Onamia MN, class of 1932. He then served 31 years in the U.S. Army. He received the following decorations, medals, and badges: American Campaign Medal; Good Conduct Medal; Korean Service Medal W/2 Service Stars; Army Commendation Medal W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster; national Defense Service Medal W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster; Armed Force Reserve medal - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Awards; WWII Victory Medal; United Nations Service Medal; Asiatic Pacific Campsitu Medal W/1 Battle Star; Army of Occupation Medal (Japan); 7 Overseas Bars; Meritorious Service Medal W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster; and Last overseas Tour: Greece. Prior to his military service he was Mille Lacs County Assessor, MN. He was a member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church. Services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Friends may visit French Mortuary from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. AGODON -- Arsenia B. Agodon, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1998 and former resident of Hawaii since 1993 coming from the Philippines, died Friday, August 13, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Pedro E. Agodon; daughter, Carmelita B. Agodon M.D., both of Albuquerque; sons, Albert B. Agodon M.D. of Manila, Philippines and Romeo B. Agodon and wife, June Jeannie of Laoag City, Philippines; grandchildren, Stephanie Jen T. Agodon and Rom Kelvin T. Agodon, both of Laoag City, Philippines; sisters, Naty Quinto of Honolulu, HI and Pacita Baptista of Albuquerque; brother, Alex Baptista and wife, Arsenia of Porterville, CA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Agodon was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Emilia Baptista; and two brothers, Miguel Baptista and Loreto Baptista. AUGUST -- Marie J. (Kump) August, 92, passed away on August 14, 2004. She was born in Baltimore, MD on April 19, 1912, and spent most of her life on the east coast of Maryland and Virginia. Marie moved to Albuquerque to live with her daughter, Helen, in 1991. She was the oldest of seven children. She was married to Mathew (Jake) Kump from November 1933 until April 1965, at which time Jake succumbed to cancer. She is survived by her sister, Helen Franz of Baltimore, MD; one son, John R. Kump and wife, Rachel of Big Fork, MT; two daughters, Helen Alessandrelli and husband, Joe, of Albuquerque and Donna M. Puckett and husband, Ronnie, of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren, James Kump and wife, Sherry, Alice Voigt and husband, Zane, Tami McMahon, Tina Powell and husband, Matt, Lisa Dirnberger and husband, Richard, Lara Ciasulli and husband, Carl, and Ian Puckett; and ten great-grandchildren. She was married to Joseph L. August from 1969 until his death in September, 1979. With Joe she became very active in the Lady Lions and received the Senior Citizen "On the Go" award for her efforts of volunteering in Tabb, VA. She enjoyed her second family of two daughters, Jean Thomas and husband, Billy of Poquoson, VA and Frances Goetz and husband, Bob of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Teresa Bryant and husband, Clyde and Carrie Coram; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two grandsons, Joseph and Cecil Thomas. The family wishes to thank the staff at Laurel View Healthcare for their eight years of kindness and care toward Marie. The Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2004 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. N.W. Cremation has taken place. BLACK -- James Doran Black, born January 5, 1980, graduated from Cibola High School in Albuquerque in 1998 and enthusiastically began working as an apprentice electrician in 2000. He then, with great aspiration, completed his four year apprenticeship program and became a journeyman electrician in 2004. James had a brave and optimistic outlook on life. He also had great deal of consideration and respect for every living being around him. With his humor and charm this spirited young man made his way into everyone's heart. On August 15, 2004 James suffered a massive heart attack and died. He is survived by: his wife, Angela Black; her two children, Calvin and Andrew; his mother, Veda Goslar; his identical twin brother, Patrick Black; his older brother, Ronald Zaitz; his sister in-law, Jennifer Zaitz; his sister, Kiley Black; as well as his father, Glen Black. BOYER -- Michael Edward Boyer ascended into our Heavenly Father's arms on August 11, 2004 at the age of 37. Michael was born on December 28, 1966 and was raised in Alameda and is survived by his mother, Nora Boyer; his sons, Ezekiel and Xavier; his brothers, Manuel, Matthew, Travis and Tyler; and many more beloved family, bikers and friends. Those who knew Michael knew he loved God and loved to tell people about Jesus. He was an admirable cowboy when he was young, he became brilliant at a very young age, he had a clever and witty sense of humor, he would help anyone at any moment, he was generous with his time and money, he worked day and night and accomplished many trades, he could creatively fix whatever was broken, he was resourceful and inventive, he was a tattoo artist and biker at heart and was extraordinarily beautiful to look at. Surely Michael will leave an impressively rare memory in each of our hearts. Services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Tabernacle of Praise, 6013 Paradise Boulevard NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 (898-4508). The family requests that monetary contributions be extended instead of flowers.

CAUGHRAN -- James Virgil Caughran, aged, 84, passed away August 17, 2004. He was born October 25, 1919 to Harry Lonzo and Wannie Belle Caughran in Grady, New Mexico. He married his first grade sweetheart Elsie Faith Bliss, June 29, 1941. They moved to Dove Creek, CO in the mid 1940s where he farmed and ran an LP Gas business. He and his family moved to Albuquerque in the mid 1950s and lived here for over 45 years. He was a successful real estate businessman and was the prime developer of Elephant Butte Estates. He loved to spend time with his family at his home on Mount Taylor. Virgil was an avid nature lover, conservationist and enjoyed raising livestock. Virgil was preceded in death by his wife; his son; his parents; his brother; and his sister. He is survived by his niece, Barbara Woodward and her husband, Bob of Albuquerque; and his nephew, Dr. Leroy Coffman and his wife, Carol of Winter Haven, FL; and many, many close friends. Virgil was a loving, caring, husband, father, and mentor to many in his family and in the community and will be missed by everyone he touched. CHAVEZ -- Alfred "Fecho" Alfonso Chavez, 86, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2004. He is survived by his granddaughter, Alexandria Ferguson and husband, Ben of San Diego, CA; grandsons, Robert Herrera of Albuquerque and Vincent Herrera and wife, Rosemary of Albuquerque, who aided Mr. Chavez as his caregiver; 5 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lita Gallegos and husband, Paciano of Albuquerque; brothers, Edward Chavez and wife, Rosemarie, Nick Chavez and wife, Priscilla all of Albuquerque; special friend, Jane Batten of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Georgia Chavez of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. CRAIG -- Margaret "Pat" Craig, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, died Wednesday, August 17, 2004. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Craig of Midland, TX; grandson, Richard P. Craig of Albuquerque; great-grandson, Richard F. Craig; great-granddaughter, Joslyn Devon Craig; sister, Sue Davis and David of Phillipsburg, NJ; nieces, Kim Gerbino of Easton, PA and Debra Ladd of Emmaus, PA; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Joseph O. Craig in 1976 and her son, Geoffrey Craig in 1996. Pat was born in South Pittsburg, TN. CSEPREGI -- Frank Csepregi, 61, passed away on August 14, 2004 at the Cleveland Clinic due to complications following open-heart surgery. Frank was born in Budapest, Hungary and immigrated to the US in 1956 at the age of 14 following the Hungarian Revolution. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Washington and later went on to become a Mine Health and Safety Specialist for the U.S. Government. Frank proudly served our country as a Green Beret in the Special Forces of the Army. Since his retirement in 1986, he actively served our community as a member of the St. Pius Foundation Board of Trustees, the Kiwanis Club of Albuquerque and the Aquinas Newman Center Catholic Parish. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Alice Marosi-Csepregi; children, Cathy Csepregi of Chicago, Nicole Adams and her husband, Jerry of Indianapolis; mother, Magdalena Hollo; sister, Eva Hollo; and mother-in-law, Anna Marosi. A wake will be held Friday, August 20, 2004 at 7:00 p.m., and the funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2004. DELIEN -- Maxima (Maxie) DeLien, age 83 and a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years, passed away on Wednesday August 18, 2004 in a local hospital following an illness. Mrs. DeLien was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Horace DeLien, who died in March, 1991. She is survived by brothers: Wilfrido and wife, Teresita David of Albuquerque, Atilano and wife, Rosa David of Albuquerque, Ireneo and wife, Apolonia David, and Adriano and wife, Zenaida David of Manila, Philippines; and sister, Anita and husband, Emmanuel Galang of Quezon City, Philippines; step-daughter, Luz DeLien: and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews; and great-grand-nieces and -nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday August 19, 2004 from 5-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son.
