Capretti -- John Capretti, 91, passed away on July 19, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Josephine, of the family home; brother, Dominic Capretti; sisters, Josephine Browning and Bea Correele all of Florida; and an aunt, Virginia Costa of Cleveland, OH. He is also survived by three stepsons, several nieces and nephews and several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Capretti served in WWII with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was retired from Caterpillar Corporation. Daly -- Colleen"Tracy" Daly, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2003 after a long battle with diabetes and its related complications. She was born June 6, 1962 in Albuquerque to Maurice and Janet Hubbard Herring, both deceased. She attended Valley High in Albuquerque with graduation from McCullough High in The Woodlands in 1980. Tracy worked as an accountant at RFI Services, Scientific Drilling, Baker Hughes Inteq, and Hanover Compressor, among others. She is survived by husband, Kerry; and children, Keegan and Mackenzie of Spring, TX; sister, Susan Hultman and family, Joe and Haley of The Woodlands; brother, Bret Herring and family, Maureen and Kate of Midland, Texas; grandparents are Frank and Jean Hubbard of Albuuqerque, Louis and Hazel Herring, deceased; uncles, Frank Hubbard of Scranton, PA, John Hubbard of Albuquerque; aunt, Dolores Garrett of Albuquerque and numerous cousins. We will miss her strength and determination, adventurous spirit, and infectious laugh. Fly with Angels! Davis -- William Lee"Bill" Davis was born January 3, 1927 in Sedan, New Mexico, and passed away after a brief illness on July 19, 2003 at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque. He loved gardening, fishing, camping, and was also a great cook. As a child, he moved to Albuquerque and later served honorably in the US Army, over seas in Japan. Bill owned and operated Western Electric Lab, a TV and Radio Repair Shop for 23 years. In 1956 he married Mae Buckman, and was married to her for 32 years until her death in 1988. He was a father to his son Larry Davis and a step-father to Dennis and Jeannette. He is lovingly survived by his twin sister Lena Wall of Albuquerque; brother, Leon Davis of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Brenda; close niece, Mary Lou Hester and husband, Charley of Alamogordo; numerous grandchildren; three great -grandchildren; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. The funeral service will be held at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano NW., on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho. Gutierrez -- Anna L. Gutierrez, 90, a resident of Rio Rancho and formerly of Las Vegas, NM and Santa Fe, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2003 in Rio Rancho. Anna was born in Roy, NM on February 6, 1913. Her parents Tom and Guadalupe Griego-McGrath were the former King and Queen of the Santa Fe Trail. Anna lived in New Mexico for most of her adult life, however during WWII she lived in Northern California where she worked in the shipyards. She was a loving mother to seven children and over 30 grandchildren. Most of her working years as a recreational therapist at the Forensic Unit at the New Mexico State Hospital, in Las Vegas, NM. A lifelong Catholic, Anna was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas and St. Bernadette's in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Gutierrez; parents; sister, Della Sanchez; and brother, Tom McGrath Jr. Anna is survived by her son, Lester Gutierrez of Albuquerque; daughter, June Baca and husband, Henry of Rio Rancho, Celeste Jeantrelle and husband, Phill of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Laura Garcia and husband, Tony of Albuquerque; son, Michael Branch of San Jose, Costa Rica. Anna is also survived by sisters, Cora Maloof-McGrath of Albuquerque, Helen Partridge of California, Mary Antonelli of Richmond, VA and Dolores and Tom Beach of Hastings, FL. Special grandchildren to Anna are Jeremy Aragon and wife, Vanessa of Rio Rancho, Jerika Baca of Rio Rancho, Crystal Gutierrez-Baca and husband, Dickie of Albuquerque, Michelle Gutierrez of Florence, Italy, Annette Gutierrez of Rio Rancho, and Kenneth Gutierrez of Pueblo, CO. Rosary Services will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night at Immaculate Conception Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. also from Immaculate Conception Church with Father Vincent Chavez as Celebrant Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Jeremy Aragon, Dickie Baca, Henry Baca, Benito Gutierrez, Kenneth Gutierrez and Raymond Gutierrez. Hise -- Roy N. (Jack) Hise, 90, a resident of Bosque Farms, died Saturday, July 19, 2003. Born in Ranger, TX on August 20, 1912 to Charles E. and Zada Hise and later moved to Vernon, TX. In the early 1930's, he homesteaded in the Cuba and Burns Canyon area of New Mexico. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NM Lobos. He is survived by his wife, Bessie L. Hise of the family home; children, Janice N. Clark and husband, Wayne of Bosque Farms, David A. Hise and wife, Phyllis of Peralta, Randy Hise and wife, Shancie of Bosque Farms, Dennis R. Hise of Bosque Farms and Mary E. Jenkins of Albuquerque; sister, Bonnie Jean West of Albuquerque, sister-in-law, Jeannie Hise of Albuquerque; brothers, Harold Hise and wife, Billie of Roswell and Donald Hise and wife, Betty of Grand Prairie, TX; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carol Hise; grandson, Randal Hise, Jr.; brothers, Milton and Charles Hise; and sister, Lois Williams. Klink -- Erwin John ("Bud"), originally from Wisconsin, passed away Friday, July 18, 2003 at the age of 87. Bud is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Helen Neis, and children John Klink and wife, Josefina of Mexico; Erwin (Junior) and wife, Karen McCullough of Albuquerque; Mary Ann Young of San Jose, CA; Elizabeth Corazzi and husband, Joseph of Albuquerque; Fay McNeely of Santa Clara, CA; and Michael Klink of Kemp, TX; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Paulson and husband, Harold of New Berlin, WI. Bud graduated from Marquette University in 1939 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1940, he received his Naval Commission, serving throughout the war and at sea for 58 months. He participated in every major naval campaign in the Pacific theater. While in the Navy, Bud earned a Masters Degree in Radio Engineering and was instrumental in the development of the earliest ship-based radar systems. At the conclusion of WWII, the highly decorated Lt. Cdr. Klink was medically retired due to complications of severe battle injuries sustained during the early stages of the war. In 1947, Bud moved to Albuquerque seeking a climate more compatible with his injuries. He held numerous civilian positions for the USAF including project engineer for many nuclear weapon design programs, ultimately serving as director of nuclear safety. Among many commendations received throughout Bud's career, he was the senior ranking civilian of Kirtland and Sandia Bases, and he was the first civilian inducted into the Air Force Hall of Fame. Concurrent with Bud's civil service endeavors, he was an entrepreneur-businessman, as principal of E.J. Klink and Associates, a biomedical engineering firm based in Albuquerque. He conducted pioneering research and development of cardiac and respiratory augmentation systems. Much of his early work involved emphysema and lung cancer research. Later, Bud developed cardiac assist systems and was awarded numerous patents including those for inventing the earliest pacemaker and the precursor to today's catheter for angioplasty. Bud Klink and his wife were founding members of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and original contributors for the establishment of St. Pius the X High School, both here in Albuquerque. Services for the devoted husband, father, mentor, avid sportsman, artisan knife maker, and loyal friend will begin with a rosary recited on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Church, 833 Arizona St. SE. Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. following the rosary. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Bud's grandchildren. Moffett -- Evelyn E. Moffett, age 87, of Louisville, OH formerly of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003, at St. Joseph Assisted Living in Louisville, OH. She was born April 30, 1916 in Louisville to the late Joseph and Mary (Stuckey) Miller. Evelyn was a school teacher for 42 years and never took a sick day during that time. She was a member of University Heights United Methodist Church in Albuquerque since 1948; she was a Sunday school teacher; a member of Eastern Star and she volunteered at the Storehouse. Presbyterian Hospital, Meal on Wheels and the Albuquerque Public Library. Evelyn was a two time recipient of the Shining Eagle Award given by the city of Albuquerque to outstanding volunteers. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Smith; her second husband, Daniel Deveney; and her third husband, O. Cole Moffett; four sisters, Delliah Swegheimer, Leona Miller, Laura Hartman and Lois Warner; three brothers, Floyd Miller, and infants, Nathan and Elmer Miller. Evelyn is survived by two step-sons, O.C. Moffett of Albuquerque, Michael and Eileen Moffett of Corrales, NM; a step-granddaughter, Brynn Moffett of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2003 at University Heights United Methodist Church in Albuquerque with Pastor Craig Mull officiating. Moore -- Vera Juanita Pickens Moore, longtime resident of Texas and New Mexico, passed away on July 18, 2003, at Manzano del Sol in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Juanita was born to Rev. Finus Roden Pickens and Vera Costin Pickens in Lorraine, Texas, on August 3, 1914. She received her B.S. from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, where she met Don W. Moore and they were married in 1934. Juanita taught elementary school for 15 years in Hereford, Texas, and ten years in Portales and Clovis, New Mexico. During her career she was a strong literacy advocate, helping organize the first International Reading Council in eastern New Mexico. In 1975-76 she was named Teacher of the Year by the Hereford Independent School District. After retiring in the late 70's, Juanita and Don moved first to Espanola, New Mexico, and later to Albuquerque where they have been since 1985. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Finus Roden Pickens, Jr.; sister, Mary Byrd Christopher; and one of her five children, Larry Don Moore. She is survived by her husband Don W. Moore; her sons Pickens Moore (Gallup, NM) and Cyrus Moore (New York, NY); her daughters, Sandra Starr (San Francisco, CA) and Amanda Moore (Santa Fe, NM); five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Rev. James T. Pickens (Abilene, TX). A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2003 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Manzano del Sol Good Samaritan Village Alzheimer's Care.

Nava -- Marcos N. Nava Sr., 21, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 19, 2003. Marcos is survived by his mother and stepfather, Eva Bierner and Jimmy; his father, Fernando Nava; his children, Mariah, Micayla and Marcos Nava Jr.; grandparents, Emilio and Cesaria Chavez; great- grandmother, Ysidra Montoya; one sister, Raeleen Garcia; three brothers, Frank Nava and wife, Angela, Carlos Nava and wife, Olivia, Richard Nava and girlfriend, Monique Casias; girl friend, Elisha Saavedra; many aunts, uncles, nieces,nephews, cousins and friends. Marcos was a member of the Catholic Church. A Visitation for Marcos will be Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by the Legion of Mary. A final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Edmund Savilla. Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Lee Chavez, Dominic Griego, Israel Perez, Chris Griego, Andy Loya, Robert Perez, Nick Mc Afee, Jason Kelly, Jose Parra and Adrian Manriquez. Puccetti -- "Irma Jane Puccetti (Roberts), 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Friday, July 18, 2003 at Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital. Her husband, Henry T. Puccetti, preceded her in death in 1999. She is survived by five children, ten grandchildren and two siblings; Norma Linklater of Harbor Springs, MI and Don Roberts of Albuquerque. Her children are Diana of Dublin, CA.; Daniel, Nancy & Michael of Albuquerque; and John of Ventura, CA. Mrs. Puccetti, originally from Mullett Lake, Michigan, served in the Women's Army Air Corp. during World War II. She moved to Albuquerque in 1946 where she met and married Henry Puccetti, whose family owned and operated the Sunshine Food Market, located at 912 12th St. NW near Old Town. The business was founded by her mother-in-law in 1925. Mrs. Puccetti operated the business until recently when it was closed due to her ill health. A rosary will be recited 7:00 PM Thursday July 24, 2003 at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N. Plaza NW in Old Town. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the same church at 10:00 AM on Friday July 25, 2003, immediately followed by interment of cremains at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Sanchez -- Andy R. Sanchez, beloved husband, father and grandfather died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at the age of 49. Andy loved the outdoors and was an expert bow hunter. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sanchez; sons, Benjamin Sanchez and wife, Sonya, and Andy J. Sanchez and wife, Melissa; daughter, Veronica Sanchez; sisters, Gloria Santistevan and husband, Ernest, Nellie Garcia, Eileen Aragon and husband, Henry, and Rita Valdez and husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Steven Sanchez, Tiauni Sanchez and Marissa Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews.
