Moffett -- Evelyn E. Moffett, age 87, of Louisville, OH formerly of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003, at St. Joseph Assisted Living in Louisville, OH. She was born April 30, 1916 in Louisville to the late Joseph and Mary (Stuckey) Miller. Evelyn was a school teacher for 42 years and never took a sick day during that time. She was a member of University Heights United Methodist Church in Albuquerque since 1948; she was a Sunday school teacher; a member of Eastern Star and she volunteered at the Storehouse. Presbyterian Hospital, Meal on Wheels and the Albuquerque Public Library. Evelyn was a two time recipient of the Shining Eagle Award given by the city of Albuquerque to outstanding volunteers. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Smith; her second husband, Daniel Deveney; and her third husband, O. Cole Moffett; four sisters, Delliah Swegheimer, Leona Miller, Laura Hartman and Lois Warner; three brothers, Floyd Miller, and infants, Nathan and Elmer Miller. Evelyn is survived by two step-sons, O.C. Moffett of Albuquerque, Michael and Eileen Moffett of Corrales, NM; a step-granddaughter, Brynn Moffett of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2003 at University Heights United Methodist Church in Albuquerque with Pastor Craig Mull officiating. Interment will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to University Heights United Methodist Church, 2210 Silver Ave. SE., Albuquerque, NM 87106.
