Obituary for Davis

William Lee"Bill" Davis was born January 3, 1927 in Sedan, New Mexico, and passed away after a brief illness on July 19, 2003 at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque. He loved gardening, fishing, camping, and was also a great cook. As a child, he moved to Albuquerque and later served honorably in the US Army, over seas in Japan. Bill owned and operated Western Electric Lab, a TV and Radio Repair Shop for 23 years. In 1956 he married Mae Buckman, and was married to her for 32 years until her death in 1988. He was a father to his son Larry Davis and a step-father to Dennis and Jeannette. He is lovingly survived by his twin sister Lena Wall of Albuquerque; brother, Leon Davis of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Brenda; close niece, Mary Lou Hester and husband, Charley of Alamogordo; numerous grandchildren; three great -grandchildren; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. The funeral service will be held at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano NW., on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho.
