Burke -- Frank J. Burke, 92, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2003, in Tucson, Arizona. He is survived by his children, John P. Burke and wife, Pattie of Scottsdale, Arizona, Kathleen Burke Anthony of Albuquerque, Michael F. Burke and wife, Jini of Tucson, Arizona, Joseph K. Burke and wife, Mary Ellen of Broomfield, Colorado, Dorothy Burke Fitz-Gerald and husband, Gerald of Albuquerque, and James P. Burke and wife, Veronica Gay of Tucson, Arizona. Frank is also survived by his niece, Mildred Wall of Gallup; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Loneta Johnson Burke, Mary Noonen Burke, and Edith Ashton Burke as well as his brothers, James, Granville and Phillip Burke. Frank was born in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, on September 14, 1910, to Miles Francis and Edna Kenny Burke. He attended school in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction. He worked at Merchants Bank of Gallup from 1929-1944 as bookkeeper after graduating from Business school. In 1944 he began his long career with New York Life Insurance Company, as the first agent in the western part of New Mexico. Soon thereafter, he founded Gallup Insurance Agency. Frank was a member of the Catholic Church, served on the Gallup City Council 1954-1958, and active in the Amigos of New Mexico, the Knights of Columbus, and the Elks. A Visitation will be held at Rollie Mortuary, Friday, April 4, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The Memorial Mass will be at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup, N.M, Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Chavez -- Arthur Chavez, 70, a resident of Los Chavez, passed away at his home while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 03, 2003. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Arthur was a Korean War Veteran receiving a Purple Heart and five Bronze Service Stars. He retired from the Civil Service after 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tiburcio and Rosina Chavez. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dorothy; four sons, Ronnie and his wife, Teresa, Gene and his wife, Dolores, Dean and his wife, Liz, and Peter; four daughters, Donna Goldkuhl and her husband, Donald, Cathy Buero and her husband, Kenny, Hope of the family home, and Faith and her companion, Mike Padilla; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters, Presey, Corine, Gregorita, Simon, Frank, Tibo, Mary Helen and Nilda. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 06, 2003 at 1:30pm followed by a rosary at 2:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 07, 2003 at 10:00am. Connor -- Wesley Olin Connor IV, age 54, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years died April 1, 2003. Survivors include his sister, Kathleen C. Vergara and husband George of FL; brother, Karl Bliss of TX; nieces and Nephews, George Wesley Vergara, Mario Pipho, Theressa Vergara and Kristen Bliss. Wesley served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dixon -- William Smith Dixon, 59, passed away peacefully at his North Valley home on March 27, 2003, after a yearlong courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Bill was born on October 5, 1943. He graduated from the Pingry School in New Jersey in 1961. He received a Bachelor of Arts Pi Beta Kappa from Princeton University in 1965. He received a doctor of laws from Yale University in 1968. Bill began a distinguished 35 year legal career with Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin & Robb, PA, in 1968. He was a senior partner at the firm. He was also an adjunct Professor at the University of New Mexico Law School teaching constitutional law courses on the First Amendment for 20 years. Among the many awards he received were:"Champion of Liberty" from the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association,"Outstanding Lawyer" from the Albuquerque Bar Association,"Best Lawyers in American for first amendment and business law," and the"First Amendment Torch Award" from the ACLU of New Mexico. In addition, the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government established the 1st Amendment Freedom Award in his name. Bill was passionate about his family, his friends, his clients, freedom of speech, books, the law, politics, tennis and laughter. He was a lawyer's lawyer, who used his exceptional skills in defense of unpopular clients, whether they were large corporations or a solo voice that should be heard. Bill is survived by his wife, Valentina de Cruz-Dixon; his daughters, Naila de Cruz-Dixon, Sarah Dixon, Heather Badal; son-in-law, John Badal; granddaughters, Rhythm and Trinity Badal; sister, Elizabeth Dixon, NY; Bill's son, Santino de Crux-Dixon died four days before his father. Additional survivors are mother-in-law, Adelaida Cruz; sisters-in-law, Lola and husband, Robert Granillo, Frances and husband, Ernest Kemp, Angie Cruz, Adela and husband, Gary Kerns; and brother-in-law, Gregorio Cruz Jr. and wife, Anita, all of Tempe, Arizona, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alma and John Dixon; and father-in-law, Gregorio Cruz. The Dixon family expresses their gratitude to Dr. Patrick Rivera, Dr. Richard Giudice and Dr. Susan Smith for their compassionate and quality medical care. In addition, the family wishes to thank the caring nurses at the New Mexico Cancer Center; Sharon Joyner from Presbyterian Home Health care; Janet, Sarah and Mary Jane from the Presbyterian Hospice with special gratitude to Norma Gutierrez, the hospice chaplain, for the loving support of Bill and the entire family. Eimer -- Guenther Max Eimer, 80, of Rio Rancho, passed away April 1, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Irmtraud Eimer and Ronald Montoya, the son he never had. Mr. Eimer was born in Germany on August 7, 1922, and moved to Buffalo, NY in 1927 with his family. In 1940, Guenther joined the Army as a paratrooper and was wounded in Okinawa on April 10, 1945. He was a World War II veteran and was honored with the Purple Heart. Guenther married Irmtraud on May 8, 1971 and has lived in New Mexico for the last 32 years. Guenther was ill for several long years. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, April 7, 2003, 11:00 am at Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel. Flynt -- Jim D. Flynt (Buddy) Born in Albuquerque September 18, 1949, called home by God April 2, 2003. Jim passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident April 1, 2003. Our beloved Jim was the first son of Mary E. and Jim F. Flynt. Jim joined the USAF in 1968 and was a decorated veteran of the Viet Nam war serving as an airborne communications intercept operator gathering vital enemy intelligence and targeting information. After honorable discharge from the AF he returned home to his beloved NM where he attended Albuquerque TVI and graduated with a perfect GPA of 4.0 in electronics. He went to work in the electronics field but became involved in union politics on the side of the underdogs which cost him his career in that field. He then embarked on a number of startup companies the last of which is Estancia Valley Mobile Homes, LLC. He was very active in the East Mountain Communities working to provide affordable housing alternatives to low income families. Jim was very much a people person and was completely at home with everyone from the average person on the street to the former Governor of NM Bruce King. Jim was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather and the sun rose and set on his son, daughters and grand babies. Jim is survived by his wife loving wife Annie , daughter's Kathleen and partner Steve Drake, Shelley and son Matthew. Grandchildren: Kathleen's children Kylene Flynt, Kayla Flynt and Brandon Drake and Matthew's son Tyler Flynt. Parents Jim F. and Mary E. Flynt, sister's Gerry Brooks, Jeanne Kubiak, Peggy Dumas and Mary Sue Flynt, brother Ken Flynt , his nephews and nieces that loved him. Many aunts, uncles and family, also surviving Jim his best friend from childhood Robert Chall and wife Robin and close friend Lee Hardwick. A memorial at the Moriarty Civic Center will be held at 10:00 am and a Graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park at 2:00 Monday, April 7, 2003 in Albuquerque.

Fulbright -- Sarah L. Fulbright, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, departed this life April 2, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Jannie Fulbright-Hall of Albuquerque; sister, Marzilla Yates of Paris, TX; four grandchildren, Tamika L. Hall, TeNesha R. Hall, Johnny R. Hall II, all of Albuquerque, and Stacy Mitchell of New Boston, TX; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, friends and family that will greatly miss her. Luchetti -- Dennis Luchetti a lawyer and rancher, died early Tuesday morning at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque surrounded by family, he was 55. He was born in Abiquiu to Fiore and Orlinda Luchetti. His father was a pipefitter who traveled often. Dennis was brought up by his maternal grandparents, Gregorita Martinez Garcia de Trujillo and Adelaido Trujillo on the family farm in Abiquiu. There he learned to cultivate the land and raise cattle. His first language was Spanish. He went on to attend McCurdy High School in Espanola and at the age of 17 enrolled at the University of New Mexico earning a degree in history. While at UNM he worked at the radio station on campus and on his show interviewed various notables including Cesar Chavez. He pursued postgraduate work at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. In 1975, he graduated from the University of New Mexico Law School and spent the following summer in Mexico City doing archival research in land grant and water law. He began law practice with the late Matia L. Chacon and later opened his own practice in Arroyo Seco. His long career included work as a trial lawyer. He was also an attorney for the county of Rio Arriba. A deep passion for ranching kept him involved in many activities. He was a past president of the Abiquiu land Grant, held a position as an acequia commissioner and still farmed his land in Abiquiu. Dennis was a gifted artist and a talented musician. He was a friend to Georgia O'Keefe and would often go to visit and read to her. She attended his graduation ceremony from law school and routinely bought produce and eggs from Dennis' grandmother, Gregorita. His paternal grandfather, Amadeo Luchetti, immigrated to the United States at the age of 19 and entered the country through Ellis Island in New York City. The young miner made his way across the country and found work in the mines of Monero, NM. The family homestead in Monero would later become a family retreat and a place where Dennis would graze his cattle. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Eaton, a physician; daughter, Ursula who is a student at UNM; son, Giovanni who is studying at New Mexico Tech; another, son, Sam; and daughter, Brandy who are both students at Pojoaque High School; as well as his little toddler, Marisol. A Rosary was held at La Morada in Hernandez. The Funeral Mass will take place at Saint John the Baptist Church in San Juan Pueblo on Friday, April 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m.. Internment will be at Gomez Family Cemetery in Dulce, New Mexico on Saturday April 5th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Abiquiu Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 758, Abiquiu, NM 87510.

Lueras -- Jonathon Anthony Lueras, 19, a wonderful son, brother and father was taken from us on Tuesday, April 1st, 2003. He is survived by his proud mother, Ms. Helen Lueras; father, Joe Lueras; two sisters, Josette and Felisha Lueras; beautiful daughter, Gabrielle Lueras and expecting wife, Roberta Garcia; his only beautiful niece, Dominique Duran; grandparents, Connie Tafoya and Arthur Tafoya. Montoya -- Ruby R. Montoya, 81, was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, April 3, 2003. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, a member of the Catholic Daughters and American Legion. Ruby was an avid gardener and was especially fond of bowling, which she did for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Albert E. Montoya. Ruby is survived by her daughter Marce J. Chavez and Husband Dennis; the lights of her life her grandchildren, Denise, Eric and Monique; one sister Anne Muniz and many nieces, nephews and friends. Sullivan -- Robert Gary Sullivan M.D. of Boulder City, NV went to be with the Lord March 31, 2003. He was a former resident of Albuquerque and practiced pediatrics in Albuquerque for 30 years. Dr. Sullivan was born September 14, 1938 in Glenwood Springs, CO. He graduated from Grand Jct. Colorado High School, Mesa College, attended Denver University and graduated from the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver in 1963. He interned at Ireland Army Hospital, Fort Knox, Kentucky. He took Pediatric Residency at Wm. Beaumont Army Hospital, Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX. He served at Ft. Gordon Army Hospital, Augusta, GA and Sandia Base Tri Service Hospital in Albuquerque. He was a Board Certified Pediatrician; a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics; and a former member of the Bernalillo County Medical Society; he was a former member of Hope Evangelical Free Church and attended Grace Community Church in Boulder City, NV. Dr. Sullivan leaves a beloved family including his wife of 45 years, Juanita; son, Jess Andrew and wife, Annegret; granddaughter, Frederika of New Iberia, Louisiana; son, Scott Daniel and wife, Stacy; grandson, Noah of Irvine, CA; daughter, Anna and husband, Kyle Hatch of Pasadena, CA; brother, Lewis Sullivan of Greeley; and uncle, Leroy Lewis of Grand Junction, CO. Memorial Services will be Monday, April 7, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 4710 Juan Tabo. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations may be made to Hope Church or the American Cancer Society. Dr. Sullivan died of epithelial carcinoma.

Voss -- Mary Alice Voss Collens went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2003. She passed away at her home in Albuquerque. Mary Alice was born in Dawson, Nebraska on December 29, 1923. She worked for Kistler Collister for many years. Mary Alice enjoyed meeting the public and working with her colleagues. It became a family tradition, as her mother worked there also. She was preceded in death by her first husband Frank J. Voss, second husband Allen W. Collens, her beloved mother and father, Blanch Gleason and Clarence Hasket Mullens. Mary Alice is survived by her son Frank Joseph Voss Jr.; daughters, Elizabeth A. Voss, Linda Ramacciotti and husband Pete, Mary Lou Marker and husband Paul; sisters, Betty Wood of Albuquerque and Collen Uhri of Humbolt, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Velmeta Woods and Dorothy Bauer of Wellington, Kansas; many grand and great grandchildren. We will all miss your wit and great smile. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 10:30am.
