Gabaldon -- Zeke Gabaldon, age 61, passed away Monday, November 15, from complications related to Beryllium lung disease in Anaheim, California, where he resided for 40 years. Born in Albuquerque, November 28, 1937, Zeke later joined the Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Hornet for three years from 1956-58. A machinist employee of Boeing North American, Zeke is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Steven and Paul; and three grandchildren, Erik, Taylor and Traci. He is also survived by his sisters, Helen Gray of Elephant Butte and Gloria Cordova and Melinda Gabaldon of Albuquerque; as well as one brother, Gilbert Gabaldon; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Garcia -- Masedonia Garcia, 95, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 1999 in West Covina, California. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; Emiliano and her two children, Perfecto Garcia and Merlyn Lucero. Masedonia is survived by two daughters, Oralia Garcia and her husband, Bennie of California, Sharon Martinez and her husband, Charles of California; one son, Leroy Garcia of Hawaii; one daughter-in-law, Minerva Garcia; one son-in-law, Ernest Lucero of Belen; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Bernalillo. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Gonzales -- David Gonzales, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1922, died Monday, November 15, 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Katherine E. Gonzales; granddaughter, Jennifer Baranoski and husband, Jeremy; sisters, Susie Martinez and Lita Gillespie; and brothers, Willie Gonzales, Paul Gonzales, all of Albuquerque, and Adolfo Gonzales of El Paso, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Gonzales in 1997. Mr. Gonzales was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of VFW Post #6216. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, with Deacon Enrique Padilla officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Gonzales -- Sam F. Gonzales, age 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, died November 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Mollie of Albuquerque; daughter, Celene Seebinger and husband, Larry of Albuquerque; sons, Victor Gonzales of Taos, Lorenzo Gonzales and wife, Janice of Colorado, Sam Gonzales of Arizona; sisters, Josephine Silva of Albuquerque, Elma Greene of California; brothers, Robert Gonzales of Belen and Andy Gonzales of Los Lunas; three grandchildren, Josh and Derek Gonzales and Gabriela Seebinger. He was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Elidio, Ruben and Lorin; three sisters, Mary, Efren and Lucille. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea, and a life member of VFW Post 401. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, November 18, 1999 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 19, 1999 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joe Vigil as Celebrant. Hare -- James Charles Hare "JC" passed away Tuesday, November 16, 1999 at UNMH from an extended illness. He was born in Albuquerque on May 14, 1986. He is survived by his parents, James L. Hare and Terry Hare of Moriarty, formally of Logan; his two brothers, Justin and Brandon Hare of the home; grandparents, Wanda and Charles Miller of Raton and Charlsie Hare of Albuquerque; great-grandparents, WH"Bill" and Pearl Miller and Carrie Price, all of Raton and Mary Wilson of Albuquerque; aunt, Cindy Simms of Las Cruces and aunt, Penny and uncle, Leonard Lopez of Raton; cousins, Sarah and Kevin Simms of Las Cruces and Jamie and Ashley Lopez of Raton; and numerous great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. In August, the"Make A Wish Foundation of NM" granted JC his wish for a Quarter Horse. Chy'a Johnston and family presented Hobo Doc to JC during the"Expo 99" at the New Mexico State Fair Grounds. Numerous other gifts, a new saddle, bridle, blanket, coat, ropes, feed, vet care, and many other items were also given. He had spent many hours with trainer and best friend, Jim Shaw riding along the Rio Grande River. JC and Jim were very much at peace on their horses. Services will be held Friday, November 19, 1999, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will take place Saturday, November 20, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at Fairview Cemetery in Raton, NM. Harlan -- Gregory James Harlan, a resident of Albuquerque, was born July 7, 1946, at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, the third child of Mr. Sessions C. Harlan Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Dell Harlan. Greg passed away after a short illness at the age of 53 on Sunday, November 14, 1999 at the Lovelace Medical Hospital. Greg was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a retired City of Albuquerque bus driver, and a faithful member of The New Hope Missionary Baptist church since 1975. His membership with New Hope included his services on the Usher Board, a member of the Male Chorus, coach for both Male Basketball and Softball Teams, and was actively involved with the New Hope Women's Softball Team. Going Home..... Even while sick, Greg showed remarkable strength and courage. Because of his faith in the Lord, he carried the burden of his illness with dignity. He will be remembered for his Christian example, his good-hearted talkative nature, his kindness, and his sense of humor that touched so many lives. Greg was loved and will be missed by more friends and family than he, in his short life, could have realized. Greg will continue and will always be apart of our lives in spirit, in our hearts, and through our special memories of him that can never be taken away from us. He is survived by his wife, Sharon O. (Pat) Harlan; four children, Brian, Dera, Dante, Greta; six grandchildren; his father, Sessions C. Harlan Sr.; one sister, Paula R. Burgess; two brothers, Darrell T. Harlan and Sessions Harlan Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends. We thank all our friends and family who called and visited to express their heartfelt sympathies and to share their wonderful memories and love for him. Services will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist church, 1901 Pennsylvania NE, on Friday, November 19, 1999. Huff -- George Thomas (Thom Kat) Huff Jr., age 45, a resident of Albuquerque for 44 years, died Monday, November 15, 1999. He is survived by his mother, Lucy Huff of Albuquerque; sisters, Kathy Smith of Oklahoma, Beverly Prescott of Albuquerque, Sherry Huff of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George Thomas Huff Sr. in 1997. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 1999, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Ligon -- Ruby Ligon, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, November 16, 1999. She is survived by her nephew, James Robinson and wife, Jimmie of Albuquerque; nieces, Faye Harmon and Sadie Moore, both of San Bernadino, CA; sisters, Loretta Stewart of Parson, KS and Willa Price of Topeka, KS; and many more nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ligon was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Albert Ligon in 1989. She was a member of Grant Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was an active usher and served on the missionary board. Mrs. Ligon was a member of Eureka Matron Federation Club and the Eastern Star. She worked at the Veteran's Hospital for 13 years. Services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at Grant Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 7920 Claremont NE, with Rev. Crystal Harris officiating.
